B&B Cares About Their Customer! 1/16/2014

I have been a B&B "Service Contract" customer for 20+ years and they have always provided outstanding service. Tuesday evening (1/14/14) the furnace cut off. Within 40 minutes of my call, Abraham (Service Tech and a true professional) arrived to provide after hour emergency service per the Service Contract. If you don't have a B&B Service Contract, you are making a huge mistake. He assessed the problem and hard to find parts were needed. The next morning, I spoke with Stefano (Service Manager) who spent substantial time locating the parts (manufacturer told him 2-3 weeks) Parts were shipped Tuesday; Abraham returned Wednesday afternoon and spent three hours (His labor covered under the Service Agreement) on the repair. Thank You B&B (Abraham and Stefano) for a warm home on this cold Wednesday evening. To say the least -- I Highly Endorse B&B with more than 5 stars!!! See you in the Spring... Jim and John from the Gaithersburg Office installed an A/C and Heating Unit in our home in Montgomery Village this past week. Everybody down from the salesman Josh, the supervisor Jake and ESPECIALLY the installers Jim and John were fantastic. We were downright impressed with the guys who were in our house for a few days when they dismantled the old compressor and A/C unit to installing the new one. They were totally professional, courteous and a pleasure to have around. We would recommend your company to our friends ANY DAY!! more

Top Notch 11/6/2013

You can tell how good a company is not only by how they perform when things go right, but how they perform when things go wrong. We have used B&B for many years as we have annual contracts. They have been a reliable partner and there has never been an issue. When a newly installed heater had a manufacturing defect that resulted in water in our basement, B&B was fantastic. They got rid of the water, had our rug cleaned and shampooed the basement rug twice. They took total ownership of the problem and they have earned a customer for life. Our B&B representative, Alan was top notch and soothing during a rather stressful time. From the manager down to Alan, the experience was positive. more

B&B has been our heating and A/C maintenance company for as long as I can remember. Today, David Cartwright was our tech. He arrived on time, put on booties due to the rain, assessed our unit, made and explained his recommendations,did his work without any interruption to our activities, even petted our very noisy dog. I was very pleased with the service and recommend B&B to my neighbors & friends. I also noticed a reduction in prices for some of the material parts we needed. more

Our heat pump system was old and needed replacement. I contacted B&B for an estimate. The service manager was out to our house on 9/13/13, spent about 15 minutes and left saying we would have an estimate by Monday, 9/16. We waited a week and never received anything. I contacted the company twice to say that we had not received an estimate. One time the service manager called to say he was going to resend the estimate, but nothing was received. I asked the company to ensure they were using our correct email address, and still we did not receive the estimate. We received other emails, so I knew our email service was fine. I feel like we wasted a week waiting for this estimate and the company nor the service manager bothered to contact us even after the second email. Evidently, you don't need the business. I would not recommend your company to anyone. If you weren't interested in replacing our system, it would have been nice to know that from the first time your service manager was here. RESPONSE FROM B & B AC & Heating Services: On Friday 9/13/13 while at the home of Mr. Kenneth R., during the free estimate survey, it was agreed that the B&B Service Manager would email Mr. Kenneth R. the estimate. At that time Mr. Kenneth R. gave the B&B Service Manager his email address as comcast.net as it was being written down. On Wednesday 9/18/13, the estimate was completed and sent to the email address given. Later a failure notice was received saying that the email was unable to be delivered. The Service Manager called Mr. Kenneth R. and explained the situation and read the email address back to Mr. Kenneth R. to confirm if it was correct and the customer confirmed the same email address as correct. The Service Manager told Mr. Kenneth R. that he was going to send the estimate again at that moment and asked if the customer if he would call if he did not receive it. Mr. Kenneth R. did not call back and it was not realized until this complaint was received that the actual email address was @verizon.net. (Same prefix, different internet service provider). The B&B Service Manager then wrote an email to the customer at the correct email address apologizing for the mix up explaining that he was given the wrong email address. After that the heat pump proposal was sent in a separate email. Mrs. Darlene R. did respond later saying thanks for the estimate and that they would compare it to the others. more

Rockville MD location. Fast and excellent service to replace the air conditioning unit in my rental condo. 8/15/2013

I had a very old Magic Aire vertical Air Handling Unit 2 pipe air conditioning & heating unit in a rental condo. It barely worked and i had an unhappy (and warm this summer) tenant. I called B&B and spoke with Bob who was very familiar with these units (nit many companies deal with these units) as he had installed them in our development prrviously. He gave me an exact price immediately which was less than I had expected and said he could install the unit the same week. Bob came over to the condo the next day to look at the old unit and the space to make sure everything was as he expected and rhat rhere were no issues with the condo maintenance folks. He and an assistant came rhe next day and spent 10 hours taking out the old unit, doing a lot of work installing the new unit and getting it cooling that day. He came back the next morning to finish up. Bob was very professional and knew just what he was doing. The new system works great and I have a very happy tenant. more

Sterling, VA Location 8/6/2013

I have had a service contract with B&B in Sterling, VA since 1996. They have kept my AC and Water Heater systems in great working order. Over the years as things have had to be serviced they are always repaired quickly and with great workmanship. Walter from the Sterling, VA location is unbelievable in his attention to detail and truly cares that things are done right! He is an awesome technician and makes sure everything is explained before leaving the job. I can't thank the Sterling VA location technicians enough for a job well done. more

Thank you for a quick response. Late on 7./19/13 the air conditioner stopped working. The heat inside the house reached 85 degrees and the humidity was high. This concerned me since my mother is 83 years old and has a heart problem. I called another service company and they could not come for 2 days. I called B & B and they came the next day. The next day Phil Young came to fix the air conditioner. He was prompt, respectful and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and fixed the air conditioner in a matter of minutes. The house began to cool immediately. Phil is a great asset to B & B. I would highly recommend Phil. He gives the company a good name and a new customer.. more

Replacement of AC, Furnace and Hot Water Heater 7/24/2013

I'm a long time customer of B&B Sterling. What an amazing job they just did on a huge project to replace my AC, furnace, hot water heater and humidifier. Chris somehow deciphered what I said I wanted and turned t hat into a system that would meet my needs. The price was fair and the job was so well done! Peng and Walter came in and did an amazing job! NO corners were cut. They were completely professional and courteous. Before they left, Chris and the team made sure I understood how everything worked and how to reach them if I had any questions. B&B is the BEST! more

Replacement of old Heat Pump system 7/16/2013

Our new heat pump system was recommended and installed by B&B. Harley and John were the lead installlers and they could not have been more pleasant. As Harley was initially inspecting our house I got a sense for his experience and confidence. Due to the size difference between the old and new airhandler extra duct work was required. Their workmanship reflects the pride in their work The installation was during a very hot spell and the heat did not detract from their work. The system started up flawlessly and they were able to leave early. Throughout the installation the crew took care in being neat and clean. more

I have been a customer of B B since 2006 and have nothing but the best to say about their Services. The phone people are friendly and courteous and the Techs are dependable, consistent, and knowledgeable. As a matter of fact, Phil was here this morning to do the quartly/bi annual inspection. Her was on time and remembered me and the house from previous visits. He was in did his job, made some recommendations, did the work and was out in a very timly manner. And even though it was Monday morning, hewas right on time!! Excellent Company which I highly recommend!!! more

I have been using B&B for about 10 years and have always been satisfied. Their semi-annual checks keep problems away. When I needed a new system, they installed quickly and for as reasonable as could be expected for a complete system. I can compare their service with a neighbor who used a different service. A 90 year old lady had to wait for 3 days (in the middle of winter) for a company that advertised on TV to arrive. I have had only one emergency (frozen outdoor unit) and it was fixed the same day. I have chosen B&B for my mother's home as well as for a long time business associate's home. I cannot single out one tech for praise - they have all done their jobs efficiently, professionally and without mess. more

Failry good service 5/31/2013

I have been using B&B for about 10 years now. The service was mostly good, although I did have an issue with the AC unit two years ago. The unit stopped working shortly after it was inspected by the company's tech and given a clean bill of health. Upon subsequent inspection I was told that I need a new thermostat. The price was nearly $200. I had argued that this problem should have been discovered during the maintenance but the manager would not cooperate. I always request Jaime to service my HVAC unit and he does an outstanding job for me. more

My Maintenance Inspection 5/25/2013

David came to my home to do my semi-annual inspection of the furnace/AC unit. He was extremely polite. He called my attention to a major leak problem. Despite the bad news of needing the whole furnace/AC unit replaced, he did his best to explain the problem to me. Despite cleaning the pan the best he could in the hopes of helping the problem, the leak still continues. I will now be in the process of getting estimates for the repairs. more
