Best place ever! 1/17/2012

I heard from a friend at work that requardless of credit ""challanges"" they can get you an approval with a bank that reports to the credit bearus, which is what I was looking for to help rebuild my credit, not just a ""buy here pay here"" program.\r \r My salesman Paul helped me understand how the financing worked, as far as monthly/weekly payments, down payments, and payoff options more

great car dealership-great people! 1/5/2012

This was a first car purchase for my 21 year old son. The purchase was quick and painless, with no typical ""sales push"" in regard to any aspect of the purchase. I appreciate that approach.....somewhat of a rarity in the Auto Sales Industry. I have always purchased new vehicles, but the next time I am in the market for another vehicle, they will be one of the Dealerships at the top of my list to visit.\r \r more

Recent Purchase 11/6/2011

We went browsing for a used car and were amazed at the quality of used cars at Auto Max. ""Only nice cars"" is not only a slogan, but a given at this dealership. It has a great selection of, I dare to say used cars. They are like new. We had started out not with the intention of purchasing a car but just ""looking"". My daughter and her husband purchased two vechicles from AutoMax last year so they suggested we go and check it out. Originally we had another vehicle in mind and decided that we didn't like it and while browsing the lot spied a mint Murano, white and loaded to the gills. We took it out with Paul (DiCarlo)and he was pleasant and easy going and the car drove great. So what started as just browsing turned into a pleasant purchase. The financing was soooo easy and Dan(Johnson)took care of that in no time, the rate was much better than I had anticipated. I would highly recommend AutoMax and the wonderful personnel to anyone interested in purchasing a truly ""nice car"".\r \r more

WORST DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!! 9/6/2011

I was told the dealership was open till 4pm. I got there at 3:50 PM and they were closed, wasted my time. The next day, I went in and no one tried to help us. we had to look for someone. the salesperson didnt even look at us when he talked. he just sat there and gave his memorized speech that the company told him to say. we went to look at the car. at the same time someone else was looking at it. i made a joke with the other salesperson and he was RUDE and tried to be a WISE *SS! i told him i was joking and he looked at me like i had 8 heads. while the other person was looking at the car. i tried to talk to my salesperson and see if there the price negotiatable. Rudely he said no, priced to sale. I was done from there. I walked to my car to leave. My friend tried to talk to him but he again rudely, we dont negotiate. We just left. I have never ever heard a dealership dont negotiate, price to sell. I have never been to a dealship that was this RUDE. I though Boch was bad, I guess I was wrong. They probably thought I had no money and just pulling thier leg. I dont know how this dealership make any money. I talked to 3 people (2 over the phone and 1 in person)ALL were RUDE. more

Really Appreciate the service! 2/3/2011

Automax,\r \r Just a quick note to let you guys know that we really appreciate your service and attention to detail. As you know we have just completed our 3rd transaction with the purchase of the 2008 535xi. Before I purchased this last car I researched buying a new car and could not justify buying a mediocre car for the same money as the 535xi. Since another client of yours (James Rousseau) introduced us, you have consistently provided us great cars at a fair price. Now when people talk about buying a new car I always send them to your web site and explain how you do business. You are the only guys I would ever buy a preowned car from. \r \r KR more

Refreshing approach to car buying! 9/28/2010

Dear Tom,\r \r I want to express my gratitude with your outstanding service and your refreshing approach to the car buying experience. I was extremely impressed with your facility as well as your professional manner and quality of service. We are in love with our Infiniti M45x. The car is in excellent shape and looks brand new. I am always getting compliments on this car! The whole car buying experience was very transparent and also very quick! Your passion as a car dealer shows and your honesty and integrity is truly appreciated. \r \r One of the things my wife and I dislike most about buying a car is going in and fighting with the dealer over the price, as well as the limited selection. We like that with your business, there was no haggling involved. I will definitely be shopping with you in the future when we wish to purchase a new vehicle and I will more than gladly act as a reference for you in the future! \r \r Mary Killian\r more

Just letting you know how happy I am! 9/25/2010

Paul,\r \r I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my new car and the outstanding service. I am new to car-shopping, so it was wonderful to have someone as honest and knowledgeable as Paul helping me navigate the variety of options to consider when making such a big purchase. At the same time, I felt he truly understood my personal style. The result was a car that is much sportier, newer, and better equipped than I could have dreamt - and still within my budget and at a MUCH lower price that I could possibly find anywhere else. Everyone who sees my car thinks it's brand new thanks to your diligence and attention to detail, and they also say ""it's such a 'Jill' car!"" because of your personalized service resulted in something that truly reflects my taste and style. I am positively giddy about my car and I genuinely enjoyed the friendly, honest, expert service. I am happy to serve as a reference and I am recommending you to everyone I know! Thanks so much for everything. \r \r Jill B. \r \r \r more

Better than you may think! 9/23/2010

I was told by a friend to go here for my next Acura. My experience was a plus all around, so I don't know why others had problems. In fact it was a dose of fresh air to not get shoved around by a salesman (mine let me take my time deciding), and to not have to fight over price! Just those two things alone made all the difference for me!\r Meanwhile, my Acura is treating me quite kindly, thank you. more

Good price and good people, Great job! 9/22/2010

I had a pleasant and professional experience at Automax Preowned! The sales person, was very helpful during the purchase. I purchased 2 cars previously some years ago. Glad we contacted Automax Preowned again for this purchase. Good price and good people, Great job! The salesman at Automax Preowned took the time to show how the car works with daughter, which I find quite impressive and pleased. Ray Grantmier expedited my recent purchase with his very professional demeanor so thank you once again!\r more

Automax preowned-the worst car dealer 9/10/2010

I had horrible expereince at Automax.\r My wife and I went there in the morning (September 7, 2010) to test drive a Volvo XC70 or S60 AWD. One of salesmen pulled out a car we wanted to test drive and asked us to go to office to obtain driver license and necessory information. As soon as we gave him our information and driver license, he asked us several time whether we were going to buy it in sticker price if the test drive was ok. We was told their asking price was absolutely not negotiable. He had kept forcing us to answer in his way that we were going to buy it after test-drive. He had attitute like ""No buy, No test drive"". We just left without test drive and went to a different car dealer to buy Acura RL.\r It's been trouble in speaking to a salesman car dealer but experience at Automax was totally horrible and worst nightmare. I never never go to buy any from Automax and will tell my friends in facebook, twister and other social sites not to buy any from Automax.\r Again to all, Automax is the worst car dealer I ever expereinced. more

Shady Business Practices 6/25/2010

If there was a way to give less than one star, I would do so.\r \r In August 2009 I bought a used ""luxury"" car from Automax, on recommendation from trusted sources who had dealt with them previously. Though the sales process was very smooth, the post-sale service has been nothing but problematic. \r \r Summary of the 5 big problems: \r 1. Soon after buying the car I had an issue that needed fixing. \r 2. Automax couldn’t/wouldn’t find the problem the first 4 times I took the car in.\r 3. Once they “found” the problem, they refused to fix it.\r 4. Chances are, the problem they “found” isn’t even the real problem.\r 5. They are being sneaky by deleting records, altering records, and making it look like there was never a problem in the first place. \r \r Details for those who want them:\r Within a month of buying the car, I noticed a substantial noise occurring frequently between 25 mph and 40 mph. Now, 10 months later, after taking the car back to Automax 4 times to get the noise checked with no resolution, they told me they finally found the cause of the noise...tie rods worn out. Shouldn't this have been obvious to them, and shouldn't they have checked the tie rods before selling me the car? The service manager very calmly said they would fix it but charge me for it. When I complained that this was unacceptable, he simply said there were ""policies in place"" and I've had the car for 10 months now so they wouldn't take care of the problem. When I then asked if they would have fixed it (for free) had they actually found the problem the first time, he calmly responded ""yes"". \r \r Needless to say, I was baffled by this. They should have found and fixed the problem 10 months ago, but didn't. Now they finally ""find"" the problem but won't fix it because 10 months have passed. On top of that, I called a trusted mechanic who I've been going to for many years and explained what was going on. He quickly pointed out that the problem is unlikely the tie rods on this particular vehicle, and even if the tie rods were bad, that would not create the noise I experience. (I'll be having him look at the car ASAP and fixing the REAL problem that Automax seems to be avoiding.) \r \r But here's the very worst part! Once I resigned that they were simply not going to make good on this situation, I went to Automax to get my vehicle. I asked for printouts of all records relating to every service visit since I bought the car, and waited while they printed them out. I noticed that several were blank and said ""record voided"" so I then went to my car and compared them to the printouts they actually gave me on the days I had previously visited (which I kept in my glove compartment). It then became shockingly clear that not only had they deleted several key records in their system, but they had actually deleted entire key sections of other records. According to these 6/25 printouts, it looked like I had never been into the service department to complain about a noise problem whatsoever! \r \r Lesson learned. They clearly have something big to hide, and will go to any length to do so. I'm scared to find out what's REALLY wrong with this car!\r \r DO NOT buy a car from Automax unless you first take it to a trusted mechanic to have it thoroughly examined, and then DO NOT use Automax for any car service/maintenance. \r \r Oh, and by the way...I've yet to hear from the owner. Shocker. \r more

My car fax was clean...too bad the car wasn't 5/11/2010

I bought a 2007 Maxima in 9/09. Six months later my back up sensors stopped working. Nissan would not warranty them because the service dept. said the car had been in an accident; the wires had been tampered with somehow so that voids the warranty on that particular situation (I got a 2nd opinion on that as well). Then I find out both passenger doors had been painted along with the bumper. It cost me a total of $400 to get the sensors working again. I've been waiting for the manager of Framingham to call me back. He told me to send him the invoice (he asked ""what can I do to make you happy? I said ""can you meet me halfway on the cost?""). Sent inv. on 5/6. He said he'd call me. Today is 5/11. I left him a VM today. He told me he wants used car purchasing to be a good experience. Well, so far, it has not. And if he doesn't call me, which he probably won't, I'd have to give him an ""F"" for customer service. I love the car; the ride is great (I had an 02 before..I really like the Maxi!) but something went on with it even though the car fax said it was clean. I'll wait a little longer to see if he calls. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Time will tell, I guess. more

Professional Experience! 4/24/2010

Although we didn't end up purchasing a car from the dealership, we thought they were very professional and patient. I had a zillion questions and they were happy to answer all of them. Also, they were not pushy at all, and actually pointed us in the right direction to buy the car we wanted. Pros: Professional people more

Fantastic Deal! 4/24/2010

First one, exciting!! So my boyfriend and I happened upon AutoMax after finding a car we were interested in on the internet. We had our preconcieved notions about used car dealerships and were not expecting to be impressed by this place, but they changed all that. First off we were very impressed by their selection of late model preowned cars. Tons of Acuras, Infinitis, Audi, Volvos, BMWs, etc. We were very surprised by their selection. While originally intending to look at a Acura TSX they had advertised, we happened upon a beautiful 6spd Acura TL. We had not seen a manual in this model anywhere (thought we had been to 3 different Acura dealerships) and had thought that this car was far from our price range. Regardless, we asked about it and were happily surprised to find that they had it priced within our range. They do have a no haggle policy, but the price they were asking was very fair for the model and condition of the car. I found it quite a relaxing experience to not have to haggle price. We negotiated a deal for some new tires and went forward with the purchase. They took care of everything and did not hesitate to help us with any concerns we had. We've had our new car for a week now and absolutely love her!! After doing research online, we know we got a fantastic deal too!! Pros: Impressive inventory more

Good cars decent prices 4/23/2010

I called before I went because I'm never sure who I'm dealing with and I found them on autotrader like a friend did. The rep said all the cars are online with pictures and I can choose that way. I was just looking for a Nissan Altima. He said they don't haggle with the prices and I already knew their prices were pretty good already. I bought the car and had no problems. I maybe wouldn't have gone so far there if my friend had said she had a problem but I don't buy cars much so it was no big deal. And she suggested Kevin, and that worked out okay. Pros: Big selection Cons: far to drive more

waste of time 2/9/2010

Just a few things I noticed when I tried to purchase a car. I called and explained to the rep that the car I want was just out of my price range and I need to know if they will work with me on the price because I didn't want to drive that far without knowing. They said yes and asked me to come down to test drive so I did. There was a noise under the hood and when I pulled up there was a guy from service standing there. He asked how the drive was and i told him I heard a noise. I told him he should test drive it to see what it was. he said he heard the noise and new exactely what it was when I drove it 10 feet to park. I'm not sure how he can diagnose it that quick without looking into it. The sales rep said he would fix it before I make the purchase. It is a preowned so I understand. I started to negotiate and he pointed to a sign that said no haggle prices. That's not what he said over the phone. Anyways, I still planned on buying the car but had questions about the warranty. They do not have a list of parts that are covered. Basically, they don't cover anything unless it has something to do with safety. Without a list, it's sounds like it's up to there discretion. So they don't back there vehicles. That was the deal breaker. Especially after the noise I heard from the test drive. Just a note about Paul. He is not very knowledgeable. I asked him the difference between 2006 and a 2007 model and he said just the body design and said no engine upgrades. I had done my research before hand and said look it up online. He did and found he was wrong and tried to cover up his lie by saying he didn't understand what I was asking. At that point, he lost credibility. The bmw convertible showroom car was in an accident. If you look closely at the bumper and fender, you will see that they don't line up perfectly. It also looks like the bumper was repainted. I know that's irrelevant but aren't showroom cars supposed to be there best cars? Pros: note sure if any Cons: not honest and no customer protection more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY 12/21/2009

DO NOT GO TO AUTOMAX PREOWNED!!!! I got the worst customer service treatment from the employees of this company, the car they tried to sell me was an overpriced piece of junk. There was one degenerate chose to make insulting remarks about my nationality, rather than conduct business! He then later informed me that a credit check would take SIX HOURS TO COME BACK!!!! REALLY!!! When i insisted we got it back in less than 30 minutes. Very suspicious. What threw me over the edge was when I tried to negotiate with him, he was rude enough to suggest I should ""simply go elsewhere"". Yeah I went elsewhere alright. These guys are dissolute pricks! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! they don't even deserve the 1 star I gave them, Pros: YOU CAN ALWAYS WALK AWAY, there are better delaerships. Cons: that you wasted time even considering them more

Terrible Sevice 8/9/2009

Went in today to look at a Mercedes, was told that the salesmen were ""too busy."" Could not even get a price list or warrenty information. Asked if I could take a test drive, was told more or less - ""come back another day."" No thanks! I thought buying a car now, in this economy, would be a breeze? Pros: Nice cars, apparently not for sale Cons: No Service! more

Worst Dealership 6/9/2009

I came in to see a Audi A6 that I was ready to buy and the guy was really rude to me. He knew I would buy that car that day if I liked it. He was extremely rude to me and talked to me as if I was 5. He was the manager or assistant manager!!! Then we tried to give an offer that was 1,500 less than what it cost, and he pointed to a sign that said no offers. The car is $36,000!!!! Worst Dealership I have ever gone. Go to Westwood auto mall, I bought my car there and it was a great experience. Great staff and great prices Pros: Low Price Cons: No bartering, rude, not helpful at all more
