Just a few things I noticed when I tried to purchase a car. I called and explained to the rep that the car I want was just out of my price range and I need to know if they will work with me on the price because I didn't want to drive that far without knowing. They said yes and asked me to come down to test drive so I did. There was a noise under the hood and when I pulled up there was a guy from service standing there. He asked how the drive was and i told him I heard a noise. I told him he should test drive it to see what it was. he said he heard the noise and new exactely what it was when I drove it 10 feet to park. I'm not sure how he can diagnose it that quick without looking into it. The sales rep said he would fix it before I make the purchase. It is a preowned so I understand. I started to negotiate and he pointed to a sign that said no haggle prices. That's not what he said over the phone.
Anyways, I still planned on buying the car but had questions about the warranty. They do not have a list of parts that are covered. Basically, they don't cover anything unless it has something to do with safety. Without a list, it's sounds like it's up to there discretion. So they don't back there vehicles. That was the deal breaker. Especially after the noise I heard from the test drive.
Just a note about Paul. He is not very knowledgeable. I asked him the difference between 2006 and a 2007 model and he said just the body design and said no engine upgrades. I had done my research before hand and said look it up online. He did and found he was wrong and tried to cover up his lie by saying he didn't understand what I was asking. At that point, he lost credibility.
The bmw convertible showroom car was in an accident. If you look closely at the bumper and fender, you will see that they don't line up perfectly. It also looks like the bumper was repainted. I know that's irrelevant but aren't showroom cars supposed to be there best cars?
Pros: note sure if any
Cons: not honest and no customer protection
