HVAC mid-year service review 7/22/2015

I was very happy with the service call. Jeff is very pleasant and professional. He has serviced my house before, and I have had no HVAC problems during this time. He explains what he is doing, and the check on my systems seems very comprehensive, and more importantly, effective in keeping the systems operating properly. Jeff B, thank you for the fine service. Service cost and price for any needed work is reasonable. more

FIXED 5/29/2015

Tom showed up right when he said he would, which is a definite plus! My grandson put something down the toilet and created a definite stoppage. Tom first tried to use the auger, but my grandson does things right - and created an impenetrable stoppage. So, the entire toilet needed to be taken off, cleared out and put back. I truly think Tom left the bathroom cleaner than it was when he got there - plus the toilet works! What more can you ask? Tom also answered some other questions for me, and was extremely helpful. I'd definitely ask for him again. more

Dave W is the second technician from Armbrust who has performed work for us and Armbrust is now 2 for 2 in addressing our plumbing needs, both of them home runs! Dave listened politely to my descriptions of the problems (related to the sump pump and water heater), and addressed the problems in a professional, thorough, and timely manner. While he was here, he also checked on our neighbor across the street who he had serviced recently to see if everything was OK. That made us look good because we had recommended Armbrust to them. I will continue to use and recommend Armbrust for any plumbing needs. more

Catastrophe... 4/30/2015

Tom Heyman from Armbrust Plumbing in Wheaton was called in at the last minute...we inadvertently flushed a rag down our toilet and could not retrieve it....snaking, removing the toilet....etc. to no avail! Then putting the toilet back in place, once we decided to call in a plumber, tightened a hold down screw too hard and broke the porcelain on the toilet. New toilet.....picked it up early the next morning, Tom was here shortly after we got the toilet home....he retrieved the flushed rag, mounted the new toilet...without delay...within 45 minutes we were back in action with a new toilet! Tom was polite, went right to work, got everything done and cleaned up so quickly...we could hardly believe it! Reaffirmed in our mind, that is what professionals are for! Excellent work! We will be replacing another old toilet soon and Tom Heyman from Armbrust will be called! more

Armbrust Jeff B. 4/23/2015

With the cold weather continuing and finding out it was not my thermostat that was broken I called Armbrust. Jeff B. was scheduled to come the next day after 12:00 p.m.(calling 1st). He called 11:15 a.m. and was here 11:50 a.m. so I did not have to wait all afternoon. He answered a number of questions I had and showed me how to place certain valves so that the system worked correctly. He found that the zone valve was sticking and asked if I wanted a new one ordered telling me upfront it would cost between $100 and $200. He showed me how I could manually override this broken part, but in doing so the heat would remain on or off. He asked if I still wanted the part ordered (I did), but this information came in handy before the part arrived. Later that same day I got a message they had gotten the part. The next morning they returned my return call. That very afternoon, within a half an hour, Jeff B. had replaced the broken part and my heating system was up and running! more

Armbrust Plumbing - Tom Heyman 4/21/2015

Great response to my call, got an appointment right away. Tom was very knowledgeable and knew what I needed after asking me a few questions. He fixed a problem we'd had with Precision Plumbing in just a few minutes after months of haggling with Precision over their shoddy work. Tom replaced the part they had put in wrong and was on his way in less than 30 minutes. more
