Horrible service. I normally don't post stuff like this but people need to be aware of how you will be treated after you buy a pool from aquatic pools. Now my pool is 8 years old and some tiles are loose and my pool decking needs replacing. I need some plumbing work, as well as them to fix my lighting which was installed incorrectly. I understand elements and just normal wear and tear will cause this. I'm not looking for free replacement, i just want this damn company to return phone calls, show up to appointments that are made and deliver suggestions and an estimate on how much things will cost. I first contacted aquatic pools April 2 for an estimate. I left messages and was told i would be contacted. A few days later i had to call and ask again for an appt. Finally a representative showed up but was a waste of time. He said he had to wait for the boss to make some decisions. On what i don't know. I just wanted an estimate. Anyway long story short, it is now April 24. and still no estimate and no phone calls. Not sure if they have time for us little people or sure what is going on with this company. People, please do your research and asks many questions when deciding to buy a pool. Make sure the company you choose is competent and will treat you with respect and like family, when you invest your hard earned cash with them. I do not, nor would not recommend aquatic pools of new mexico to anyone. I challenge this company to at least call your customers back and treat everyone equally. No matter how big or small the project is. more

RE: PHIL E.\r After much review of this posting, we have discovered that this was a malicious attack by one of our not so honest competitors. This review was brought to our attention by a customer of ours. First, our office is too busy to come on this site and post fraudulent reviews nor do we need to. I think being in business for the last 31 years speaks volumes in and of itself. We have not built a pool in the last 6 years for anyone with a last name beginning with an E. Also, we have not built a pool for a customer with the first name of Phil in the last 7 years, or any customer by Phil E. If this customer thought that our price was not to their liking; I am baffled why they would choose to go with our company. Also, we are unaware of any tile issues with any customers. According to what was said if you said another contractor came in for corrective work, why would we bill for that same work? Which we have NOT done any corrective work on any customers. We have not had to go to the extremes of threatening law suits with any of our customers simply because we complete the work to meet or exceed the agreement specifications with each customer and they therefore pay us in a timely manner as a result. Of the customers who have issued reviews on this site, most names have been matched with permits pulled by Aquatic Pools, Inc. with work at their residences. \r If by chance this is a true customer, we invite this person to contact our office to discuss any possible issues and we would be more than happy to address any such issues. more

I think this company must be posting their own comments. Our experience with Aquatic has been terrible. They came in way over budget and late and then the owner, Ron Yates, threatened to sue. The quality of the installation was substantially sub-par. Their follow-up service was worse. When another contractor had to be brought in, they then billed for the corrective work that should have been done correctly from the start - and then threatened to sue again and began harassing us. Don't go near them. more

I don't know who all these people are that think this company is all that good. Their service after the sale is awful, and we live only a few blocks away from them. They don't return calls with regularity, so getting them to do anything for you requires some effort. The pool they installed for us had defective tile, which flaked apart and now looks terrible. Oh, but we were informed that that was not covered under that whiz-bang warranty they claim to have. The owner (Ron) sat at our kitchen table and rather than addressing our issues with the tile, told us both about his own trials and tribulations for an hour or two. I no longer do business with them unless I have to for some reason. I have a hard time understanding how they stay in business. If I ran my own business that way, I'd be out of business. Best pool company in NM 4/5/2012

I am a local business owner in the service business and I look for quality above price! I have had Ron build 2 pools for me in the last 15 years both were beautiful and built to the highest standards. having built 2 pools years ago in Phoenix I know what should go into the construction of a quality pool. THESE POOLS are superior to all the pools I've owned. Any problems that have come up have always been taken care of without any problems. I am currently refreshing the pool using Aquatic again and the crews have been wonderful!! Lastly when comparing the other local builders and having seen a number of their pools & equiptment they are by no means near rthe quality of my pool. Pros: null Cons: null more

Very Good 11/26/2011

Ron Yates is an honest, hard-working business owner who truly wants to deliver good service to his customers. The quality of our pool's construction is excellent and we get many compliments on its beauty, even from other pool owners. Granted, during construction, there were a couple of bumps along the way, but you have to kind of expect some of those things. The important part is how a company handles those types of problems. Some business owners simply don't care. But Ron sincerely wants to do his best to take care of the customer. You can't ask for more than that. Pros: null Cons: null more

An Exceptionally Honest, Professional Contractor! 5/21/2011

I have dealt with many contractors and companies throughout the years. Ron Yates and his superb team are easily a top player. There is no need to be cautious or suspicious about this great company. They do what they say, take pride in their work and don't try to take advantage of you because you are less knowledgeable of the pool business. I would heartily recommend this fine company to anyone. The guys who did the work were exceptionally hard working and pleasant. This is a great company! more

Hard working honest people! 3/30/2011

Ron Yates and the team he has put together at Aquatic Pools are incredible! We had our pool installed by another company 3 years ago. Sadly, we didn't know about Ron at this time. Ron and his team came in stamped and stained our concrete, layed brick around the edge of the pool, replaced the electrical, plumbing and motor to the pump, because it was done incorrectly. Ron came out to meet with us in Hobbs, NM the day after we called him. This was on a Friday, his team showed up on Monday evening with equipment and were finished by Friday morning. What a great experience with Aquatic Pools, unlike the installation process from another company. Thanks to Ron and his team....we are so proud of our "little oasis"! more

The owner, Ron Yates, personally came to my house to estimate the job...and then came back to inspected the work and to make sure I was satisfied with the job! That's service! Excellent work and they stand behind it. I would recommend Aquatic Pools to anyone who's thinking of building or repairing a pool or spa. I will use them again next year for my drive way. more

We purchased our pool from Aquatic in August, 2007. We have been very happy with it, although we did start to notice some concrete problems (crumbling) with the decking on our spa over the last few months. I sent an email with photos of the problem. Within an hour of sending the email, I was standing at my pool with Ron Yates (the owner) looking at the problem. He had a crew there the next morning breaking out the bad section, and repouring. They came back the following week and did all the finishing work. It looks perfect! You can not tell where the earlier concrete ends and the new concrete begins. Aquatic was excellent in letting me know when their crew would be there each time. I was VERY happy with the outcome of my service experience. more

Aquatic Pools designed & built our beautiful pool. Our pool turned out to our expectations. We experienced some delay due to an out-of-state vendor production problem with some custom tile we had ordered, but aside from that, the schedule was held as promised. more

To those looking for a reliable builder. I have got to say after all the reviews I have read about ALL pool companies in the Abq. area I still chose Aquatic. Not only for there design ideas, but mostly for the owner Mr. Yates. I am a business owner and I know what its like having your company represented by other people. Not only did I deal with Mr Yates personally, if I had any ?'s or concerns he personally made sure they where answered to my satisfaction. In closing I think people have got to have real expectations and know that nothing in this world is perfect, but if you are willing to be understanding and enjoy the process you will totally be satisfied with your end results! more
