We bought a stand alone Honda generator and got someone to come in and and wire it. We havent' used it in 2 years and recently I called Appleton Campbell to get someone to come out and help us go through how to power it and have power up and running through our house incase our electricity goes out. The receptionist told me they cant do that and I would have to contact Honda for that because they dont deal with that. THEN...WHY WOULD YOU HAVE SOMEONE COME AND INSTALL IT IN MY HOUSE IF YOU DONT SERVICE THAT??? I called another company and said they would be happy to send someone to guide us through it. I feel like you guys robbed me $3k!! RESPONSE FROM Appleton Campbell: I was able to reach out to this customer and apologize for the miscommunication. We installed the electrical hookup for a customer supplied portable Honda generator, not the generator itself. I think this may be where the confusion came from on our end. Although we are not certified to maintain this type of equipment we are certainly happy to send a technician out to assist with some of the questions they have. The company holds a Class A license with masters in Plumbing, HVAC, Gas Fitter and Electrical as well as certified geothermal design and install. The technicians receive paid training for both technical knowledge and customer service. The service technicians work on flat rate pricing which means they quote the jobs upfront and get approval prior to starting the work. Customers do not have pricing surprises at the end of the job, do not pay for a slower technician, and do not have to pay any additional charges for parts to be delivered to their home.
