We started out using Appleton Campbell to service our oil burner about ten years ago or longer. We have the same technician every year service the boiler. Stacy is familiar with the machine and has always done a great job keeping the equipment running smoothly. Since we were so happy with this service we have used Appleton Campbell for electrical and plumbing work with the same degree of satisfaction. It is impressive to us that we see the same technicians on staff year after year. All the technicians are well trained, polite and have the customer's best interest in mind. They are not the cheapest of all the service companies but the quality of service is worth it. We have only had to have them come back because a plug went bad and they replaced the plug at no additional charge to us. The front office staff is always pleasant and professional. They try to work with our schedule to get service requests filled as quickly as possible. They give us a call on the day of the scheduled service to let us know the technician is on the way. If they happen to be running late, the front office calls to let you know. All in all, the company earns a five star rating. more

We have been customers for a few years now and not a single bad experience. The young ladies who take our call and schedule our service are friendly, personable and quickly get us on the schedule. When the service technicians arrive they are always respectful, have the necessary equipment to do the inspections/repair and get the system ready for the upcoming season. So when it we were having issues with our furnace and A/C it was a no brainer to call. We were seen that day - no emergency call out charge! - and after inspecting the entire system Jerry (the technician) was able to explain everything that he saw which pretty much confirmed our suspicions - our system could no longer survive on life support. Jerry sat with us going through several different options before he worked up a three different systems and costs. Once we made the decision Jerry worked with the install manager (Dave) to come out confirm all his measurements and put us on the schedule immediately. Day of the install Dillan and Cory showed up on time and walked us through everything that needed to be done. These two young men are awesome! These two young men took their time with the install, making sure I understood everything that was happening along the way. Once the install was completed they walked us through all the features of the new Carrier system and smart thermostats. This whole experience has only reconfirmed what I already knew - Appleton Campbell customer service is top-notch! more

MIke L and Eathan came to my house last Thursday and installed my new HVAC to replace my 12 year-old system It required a new outdoor unit and some changes to the ductwork. They did a beautiful job everything fit back in the utility room where the other unit was removed and it looks beautiful. The outdoor unit required some changes to my brick paver landscaping but they set it perfectly. I had to ask if professional landscapers had come to redo the brick paving. The new thermostat that has an app that I can contol from my cell phone, before the install I would've told you I didn't need that but now that I have it it's an awesome feature , specially at night I can change the temperature without having to get up and walk downstairs . They left everything spotless , it was hard to tell any work was done at my house that day everything was left as clean as it was found. The most amazing part of this to me was how prepared they were and that it only took one day they got to my house at 7:30 am and were finished and everything was cleaned up and working perfectly by the time I got home from work. more

Appleton Campbell recently repaired an underground water leak for me, by the replacing of several yards our water line. It turned out to be a very complex repair, with the leak being difficult to locate, and the repair requiring the moving of our outdoor HVAC unit, extensive hand digging of trenches, and cutting holes in the interior dry wall. Every step of the process was thoroughly explained to me before it was taken, and was carried out with precision, professionalism and conscientiousness. Several unexpected discoveries were quickly met with thoughtful and effective solutions. The cleanup process was as efficient as the repair process, to even include the laying down of grass seed where the digging disrupted it. I cannot recommend this company enough! The crew of Johnny, Tim, Hagy, Crockett, Shane Ethan and Mike Loy deserve special recognition, and were exemplary representatives of this company! more

We had Appleton Campbell's wonderful service teams install two Carrier Infinity Systems within 6 months of each other in Summer and Fall of 2016. After 12 months, we are now appreciating what good systems these are. We have both a heat pump and a Forced Air/Air Conditioner system - upper and lower zones. For the past 14 years we have had builder grade machines that could not keep up in the Summer heat. At best they would cool to 85 degrees. Not so with our Carrier Infinity's installed by Appleton Campbell. These machines are not only beating the 100 degree Virginia heat index and humidity, BUT they are getting the house down to 67 at night and keeping it at the requested 76 by day with little effort. We also have noticed that in the Wintertime, the floorboards are now warm and in the Summer, they are cool. We did not add any insulation. The only change was to install these new Carrier Infinity Machines. We also would like to point out that our electric bills have decreased in the Summer from using 2987 KwH in the peak heat of August 2016 to 1737 KwH as of July 17 2017 with an outdoor temp in the high 90's. We are very pleased with Appleton Campbell's recommendation to install these units. Coupled with great service, we would definitely recommend Appleton Campbell to all interested friends and neighbors seeking to install and maintain quality heating and air conditioning equipment. more

He walked us through our repair needs and was very knowledgeable and personable. Renee D. arranged our service call and really went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met.
