Horrible to get ahold of 4/27/2010

I was injured in an automobile accident in November 2009. They guy who hit me had insurance through this company. They submitted a claim, asked me for paperwork from my Dr and work for the time I had to miss. Two weeks later, I called and they told me the paperwork wasn't complete, so I mailed them a complete set, then two weeks later, they said that the paperwork wasn't worded the way they needed it from the Dr. I went to my Dr's office and talked to him, and let him know what the insurance company said, he redictated the letter, someone typed it up and it was faxed to the ins co. Three weeks ago she said she had the proper paperwork and it was being submitted to Whomever it needed to go to. She also told me that it would be 2 weeks before I hear anything. I've called everyday for the last week and have yet to recieve a call back on the status.....Needless to say, I have had to file bankruptcy due to the lack of income due to my injury. I am back to work, and have been since January, but I need the money they owe me so that I don't loose my home and my car. Can't even get a live person on the phone....going to contact the IL dept of financial and professional regulations division of insurance to see what they have to say about this. more

Worst Service Possible/Rude agents. 4/9/2010

I had a person hit me from behind who was insured with this company on the interstate. The driver was driving on a revoked dl and was insured by this company. I have been dealing with them for over two months now trying to get my car fixed. To make a long story short they will not fix it for the total repairs that is owed. They have decided that my car is not worth fixing for the price that it will cost. They want to give me $250 to settle. This company is a money scheme and now if i want to get my car fixed I need to take them to court. This is to much work and hassle and that is how they make there money. They are a ruthless company and out to not do good business. I have Geico and I have never had a problem and when I did have an accident they fixed the other drivers car without any problems and the situation was resolved in less then two weeks. That is good business. more

Worst service that I have ever had with an insurance company 2/24/2010

I had a person hit me from behind who did not have insurance. It has been almost a month and I finally was able to talk to someone over the phone and that was only after numerous phone calls and messages. I finally had to work with another department and request my adjustor's boss. Their estimate is way below what it actually costs to fix. The bodyshop that they recommend employs undocummented labor and has issues before, but I am left at no recourse but to use them, based upon how this company deals with you if you try to use someone else. I live in NY, was hit by a guy holding a policy from this ins during mid dec of 2009. It was a snowy nite, where everyone is driving like 10mph, and this guy was driving so fast that he couldnt stop and bumb my car's rear end! We called the police immediately and get a report as prove. This ins requested 2 appraisal, police report and all kinds of b.s form and proves. I submitted it to them like within a week...they return to me with a claim number and that is it! I call like about 1 or 2 times a week to check, and guess wat they told me! ""YOUR CLAIM IS STILL PENDING AND NEVER SUMBIT BECAUSE WE CANT FIND OUR INSURER, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO!"" for like a month! and then I call again this week on Feb,2010 and guess wat! Now they are telling me that they are going to deny my claim because they can't find the driver who stupid enough to hit my car and fail to respond! and now I am reading all these reviews and really wondering if this company is just trying play some tricks~ more

I unknowingly paid them for auto insurance for a whole year. I had an accident in the second year and they sent my car to some bum mechanics at P&G in Cicero. Not only did they do terrible repairs they broke things in my car they had no business touching. I have had my car there 3 times and it still is not repaired correctly. Someone insured by these guys backup up and hit our car. They requested two estimates with photos. We got them and sent them...3 weeks later the customer service rep said they would settle on the phone for $1200 if we agreed they would cut the check right then. We said we wanted everything in writting and when we received the letter they wanted to only pay us $418. She told us that our car was only worth $418 ...and laughed at us on the phone. Now we are going to have to take more photos....We have already contacted the BBB and are ready to get a lawyer if after this last photo nothing is done in reagrds to paying for the damage. We are not the type to sit and not do anything about this. Pros: no pros with this company more

there clients vehicle caught on fire and the heat from the vehicle caught my front of the car on fire and melted the blinker light the front bumper and side view mirror and milted part of the tire and tire wall, it took a week just to get a policy number from the people that parked next to me i was parked at my apartment complex it happened at 02:30 am and after filling a claim with them it took american access causilty co a mouth to tell me that it was being denied because the cause of the fire was undetermened but it states in the fire report i got from CCFD states when they arrived there was flames coming from under there clients car what kind of crap is that, im not going to stop blogs, e-mail, call, small claims court, bbb roport until my car is fixed Pros: worst company ever Cons: you will be way better off. more

I got struck by a guy insured by these a$$wipes at the end of July. I live outside of Milwaukee. I submitted an estimate within a couple of days later. Just last week, over a month later, they get back to me stating that they do not agree with the estimate. They are offering $100 less for the coverage. Luckily, I have access to an attorney, so I will now need to take the other driver to court for the difference. Unfortunately for him, he will be responsible for the filing fees and attorney cost if he contest the additional charges. Too bad they choose to be d1ck$ about the whole thing. I hope the ba$tard$ lose all their clients and go out of business. more

I am in nevada and filed a claim with these clowns a fews months ago and still no out come. they keep on giving me the run around about a bunch of b.s.I would not advice anyone to get ins. through them. as a matter of fact Im gonna print out all the reviews on this website and pass them out at different ins brokers office and hope ppl will not fell into the same mistake I did. I know it might be a waste of time but if I can can take a few ppl from them then it would be worth it. hopefully it will make a difference on them with time so they go out of bsns. THAT B!*$H A$$ M*F* MIKE HE IS A SUPER IS A PUNK A$$ B!*$H! he is lucky we dont live in the same city or he would of got his a$$ handed to him. trust that and believe that. AMERICAN ""CRAP""CCESS 8/26/2009

I was in an accident with a guy who had this company as his insurance and he was totally at fault by not yielding to traffic. They decided they would only give me 75% of the repairs estimate. They are horrible at returning phone calls. I had to hound them to fax over the invoice to the shop which they should have known per the shop so I could get my vehicle fixed. I have been in the ins industry for 20 yrs. I have worked with this company. they are not as bad as some of the other places out there. you just have to make sure you have everything that is need to get that claim finished thats all. I totally understand about your frustrations. I just got layed off from another insurance co and would love to join american access so we there will be more positive reviews than negative!~!! more

I filed a claim from an accident on4/20 it is 5/15 i just now got a check which is a 1500 short they wont give me the estmate and the estimate is so low that no body shop will touch it but the one the have agreement with. those are the biggest holes in the wall shops i wouldnt have them fix my bicycle. it dosent pay to save money on car insurance. the process is taking so long i lost my truck they dont pay for rentals so i couldnt afford to keep it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY! 4/2/2009

I was struck by a driver insured by American Access. He was drunk, and totaled my Expedition. My little girl was with me also. It has been a YEAR and they still have not even paid the medical bills, which have gone to collection. I sent them the ""final paperwork"" they asked for last week...and guess what? The mail was returned to me a week later. The only monies we asked for...to cover our medical expenses.....they fight us every step of the way. They should be ashamed. Cons: too many to name more
