Terrible! Everyone working in scheduling is a new hire and 99% of the complaints are in scheduling. When I started working there I was told I would be trained because I did not know the programming. 2 days later I was told they needed someone who knew the programming. I was scared because everyone was a new hire when I started so I figured that they had high turn over rate which turned out to be true. I see why there are so many complaints now because they have too many turn overs. 0 stars! more

WORST EVER IN THE HISTORY OF DOCTORS offices. EVER. Dr ran blood test on me and did not guide me properly prior to this test. CELIAC test requires consuming gluten for 6-8 weeks prior to the test if you are 100% gluten free. I was told NO, you do not have to consume gluten. WHY? WASTE of time and money. I am now more upset by the billing department manager. NOT professional or compassionate at all. Also, returning calls within 48 hours is a moot point to her. I should have received a call back last Friday. Nothing. I had to call myself only to have her shut me up without trying to understand what had happened. Terrible. DO not go. more

I have/had been going to Alpharetta Internal Medicine for more than ten years, and this morning when I went for an appointment I had made at least two weeks ago, I was told I was not in their system, and they could not see me today. They were going to do the blood work (since I had to be fasting), then reschedule the appointment. I had planned to get a renewal of my prescription medicine at today's appointment, but when I asked about it, I was told they couldn't do that since I am now a "new" patient, since I'm no longer in their system. The office staff was not at all professional. I've seen a LOT of turnover in the office staff over the years, and it just gets worse each time. I am very unhappy with my experience and after TEN years of going there, I've decided it's time to find a new doctor. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Pros: null Cons: null more

The Very Worst Doctors Office I've ever been to!! 2/4/2012

I had made an appt. for my husband at 8:45 yesterday and after we got there, they said that we didn't have an appt. and then waited 15 mins. at the front desk for them to confirm the visit, then argued with us saying that they hadn't done his blood work and I said that they did. Rude is not the word - they are s___ a___s to say the least. I worked for the State of GA and if we EVER treated the public like this office, we would have been fired. Not only are they nutcases but they don't know what they're doing. New system in place is a bunch of hooey- they are the most incompetent, idiots I've ever dealt with. The appt. secretary looks like one of the stepford wives - stoic and claimed she didn't know the woman that worked there before her. Waiting 48 hours to return a nurse call is outright preposterous!! You could die waiting for a phone call from them. If you value your health and well being - take my word for it 'GO FIND ANOTHER PRACTICE'! They should CLOSE this office down due to incompetence!! I myself am looking for another Internal Medicine Group because they're like fish - there are more in the sea!! Charge you extra $25 too if you can't make the co-pay! Great service? Why aren't you getting the same???? 3/24/2011

I have been going to this practice for almost 2 years. I haven't had a single problem. The doctor I see is very caring, prompt (never wait long, if at all) and her nurse is very caring and calls me back before that day is over. Their voice mail states up to 48 hrs, but it is never an issue. I worked in a medical practice, and this one is no different from any other practice. YES their phone system is terrible, but if you are nice and patient you will receive prompt care. Maybe some of you are TOO NEEDY to wait for a callback. I really like the facility and parking. You do not have to park in a parking garage to access the building. The front office staff was very nice to me. Maybe the old saying "treat others the way you want to be treated" is true. more

Just bad manners 11/21/2010

I went into Alpharetta Internal Medicine to pick up a perscription for my husband (after telephone instructions from the nurse to do so). I was met with a snide attitude from a young brunette with a pie face who must have been having a very bad day. My request was received with fierce resistance and a lecture on their policies. After 10 minutes or more, she finally went to the back and brought out the perscription (now was that so hard?) So much of my time was wasted with her bad manners when all I was doing was picking up a perscription. When I think of all the money we have paid AIM over the years, it is shameful the way we are treated by their front desk staff. It is time for the doctors to drain that swamp and hire some people who are pleasant to the patients. more

Low quality receiptionists 11/20/2010

When you enter Alpharetta Internal Medicine don't expect to be greeted with smiles. But first you'll have to stand there and wait until they finish typing whatever they are typing. Whoever hired the young brunette with the round face showed very poor judgement. Her only talent is back-talking and sass. I came to pick up a perscription for my husband (after a telephone conversation with his nurse instructing me to do) and was met with rude resistance and a lecture on their policies for 10 minutes before she finally went back and got the perscription. We have been patients for over ten years and wonder why we continue. It is time for the doctors to drain the swamp and hire some ladies who can be pleasant and show some good manners toward the patients (who by the way, furnish the salaries of the employees there. more

Steer Clear if you value your health & sanity! 6/10/2010

After several years with Todd Miller and his group I wish I could say some positive things. WEll, I guess I could say the location is good and parking is adequate.\r \r If you are looking for a good working relationship with a doctor or group, shop around, it's definately not here. The receptionist, nurses and PA's and office staff are not only rude but incompitent. The phone system is impossible to work around and calls are generally answered in about 48 hours. No regard for your time or discomfort. Perscriptions will not be called in or faxed anywhere, unless you pay extra...go figure! After discussing my dissatisfaction a number of times to the staff and doctor himself, I was sent a certified letter and told not to return. Their phone system is outdated and the LONG messages you have to indure regarding holidays is long overdue. WOW, fired from a doctor, ouch. So much for the oath. You will see by all the other reviews that my complaints are common and not addressed. Pros: Nice looking facility, good magazines. Cons: Rude, no follow-up or follow-thru, poor care. more

Good Docs/ Lousy Staff 1/4/2010

In my experience the nurses and medical assistants who work directly with the docs are good, the docs are good, but if you call them, be prepared to be talked over, interrupted and spoken to as if you are a moron. This is the rudest office staff I have ever seen. I had been going to this Dr. for more than ten years. Then my husband got sick and went to the emergency room. He was diagnosed for a kidney stone, for the next three weeks I was calling them to get an appointment, but they were too busy. He finally got an appointment and they sent to the hospital immediately, WE HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! My husband was in complete kidney failure and diagnosed with multiple myeloma, one month earlier appointment could have saved his kidneys. This was a life changing disaster for him and our family. Worst Experience I've Ever Had 9/4/2009

I went to this doctor's office on a Monday and was given a medication which I had a severe allergic reaction to. I called at 9am the next day saying it was urgent, and no one ever bothered to call me back. I was still having an adverse reaction by Friday, and when I called the lady who answered at 3:30pm said everyone was busy and no one would be able to call me, even though I had an emergency. After going to this practice for years, I've finally decided to move on. The reason? You have to HOUND the front office for information, follow up on scripts, etc..etc....it's just way below accepted standards. I don't doubt the doctors and their expertise but frankly, after having to hound the front office for everything after the visits, it's just not worth it. While the doctor I have seen several times was personable and knowledgeable (if a bit rushed at times), the office staff is brusque at best and rude at worst. I had originally rated this office with one star after an hour and a half spent trying to handle a very simple request over the phone, most of that time spent navigating a very frustrating phone system...but in retrospect, the quality of care I received was good, but the treatment that I received from the office staff greatly detracts from the overall experience. If they can bring the quality of the office staff more in line with the quality of the physicians, a four or five star rating would be possible. more

WORST DOCTORS OFFICE I'VE EVER BEEN TO 11/19/2008

FIRST LET ME SAY - I TRIED DR. HOLBROOKS OFFICE FOR ALMOST A YEAR. I KEPT GIVING THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT - HOPING THEY WOULD SOLVE THIER PROBLEMS - BECAUSE I LIVE SO CLOSE. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY ONLY KEEP GETTING WORSE! THEY TREAT YOU LIKE CATTLE. THEY HAVE NO PEOPLE SKILLS. THEY NEVER EXPLAIN ANYTHING. I ONCE ASKED FOR A CHECK UP AND THEY TOLD ME THE FIRST AVAILABLE TIME THEY HAD WAS 5 MONTHS AWAY! LAB WORK IS ALWAYS LATE OR LOST. NOBODY EVER CALLS YOU BACK WITH LAB RESULTS. LOVE this office...my old dr office you would wait for atleast 2 hours. Not this office you get in easy w/o a long wait...Dr.Holbrook, Dr.Caldwell, Dr.Still and Dr.MIller are all very nice and very knowledgeable. Even the P.A.'s and NP's are great. more
