Why All State Van Lines hit a home run on our move. There quote made the most sense and was the most realistic. They quoted a tad high to make allowances for our mis calculations and eagerness to save. The follow up infomration and assistance was concise, lucid and helpful. All personnel were patient, friendly and professional. The driver and his assistant were excellent men and worked with courtesy and exceptional manner with pride and humble character. They were superb in there conversations, explanations and manners. The company is very lucky to have them working on their behalf. All goods made the 1200 mile trip from Michigan to Florida. Things just went so well. We are happy to give this testimonial and would glady answer any questions anyone would have regarding our move. more

Outstanding Move 1/31/2013

What a great move!!! All State Van Lines and Colonial Movers did an outstanding job in relocating me from Oklahoma to New Jersey. The estimate was excellent and superior to the competition. In fact, we came in under $300. Further, Mike and Chris from Colonial were careful with my household goods and very courteous to my and my family. G'Day, Generally speaking this move was very satisfactory. Not perfect; the pick up was a day late, but the shipper compensated monitarily and the the drop off was a few hours late, but we were called. The packing of the furniture was very good and the delivery personnel carefully unwrapped the furniture and allow us to inspect it. No damage. A Fantastic Move 1/31/2013

Thank you All State for coordinating my move from Oklahoma to New Jersey. Your estimate and your service was spot on what you said you would provide. In fact, we came in $300 less than what was estimated. The movers, Colonial, was exceptional. Both Chris and Mike were careful with my goods and courteous to me from start to finish. Kudos!!! Only one hitch in the plan because of another customer. My pickup was delayed 24 hours. James called me to explain and apologized for the inconvenience. He compensated my time loss with a satisfactory refund of $100. So, all in all, the move was less costly than expected and also less than the competition. The delivery was on the exact day I requested. And everything was delivered in one piece and without incident. If I could give you 6 stars, I would. Should I ever have to relocate again, All State Van Lines will be who I call (as long as I can have Colonial handle my household goods). Thank you. amachugh more

Horrible Experience 1/24/2013

Worst movers I've ever dealt with. Once I booked with main person, I finalized with another person who promised me a guaranteed delivery date of Dec 31st because of my situation. Day of move (Dec 16th) came and movers were scheduled to be there between 8 and 11am, but didn't show until 4:30pm and it took them 3 hours to pack the truck with what amounted to a studio size apartment or less. So they wasted my entire day. While movers were there, one took a crap in my bathroom (for at least 10 min) and stunk up the entire apartment. Each time I called to check in on my move I got a different story; some told me it was on the way, some told me it was in CA in storage. As the guaranteed day got closer, I could not get a straight answer. Then they told me it would only be 2 days late and I was promised $30/day that they were late. I was stuck in NH waiting for my stuff so I could store at family house, meanwhile missing days of work in NY because they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. Because I had to return to NY, I asked them to change delivery and they agreed and said they wouldn't charge me. Went back to NY since they promised delivery on Jan 2nd. Did not receive my stuff until January 16th which was ONE MONTH after my stuff was picked up. They gave me $30/day for late, but then deducted a change fee for changing to NY (which was more convenient for them and I HAD to get back to NY because they were making me miss work), which I thought they shouldn't charge. Told me they would deliver between 1 and 5pm and didn't show up until 9. Movers were horrible, customer service was horrible and they tried to nickel and dime me every time they could. I will not only never use them again, but I will gladly tell everyone my story so they will not use them either. more

A very satisfy customer. 1/18/2013

Recently the All State Van Line helped us moved from Detroit to LA and we found ourselves very happy with their service. First of all, the total price is based on the weight of contents and because we don’t have that much stuff to move, so the actual cost is over $500.00 lower than the estimate. We appreciate their honestly because we were not there at the scale to witness the weighting of the truck. The other thing is their on-time service. Both the pick-up and delivery were with-in the estimated times of arrival which were very important to us. The movers were very courteous and professional and the service is great. Under estimate you all the way!!! They will play you 1/7/2013

TERRIBLE ESTIMATING PROFESSIONALS!!!! First estimate was $1,671.80 i paid in the end $3,200. Every time I would speak with Greg ext 145, he would assure me that my Ikea furniture was being overestimated, because their forms only allowed them to put average weight in furniture. Every time we spoke the estimate was higher and higher and he said, (along with other employees that I spoke with) that it would DEFINITELY be lower. When the mover came, he added another 900 lbs to the weight "estimate" and he counted a bundle of sticks ornament, that dosent even reach my knee as a 30lb box. Then he also assured that the 900lbs was an overestimate, LIE!!! They play you all the way to your credit card. I ended up going way over budget, they are "legally" ok, because they estimated correctly, BUT they ALWAYS SAY "it is overestimated dont worry" it is NOT. PLEASE LOOK FOR ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY. In regards to your concerns with the estimates our customers receive, prices are quoted based on the furniture list that is provided by our customers to their moving coordinators upon booking. Contractual documents also advise that the estimated cost provided are subjected to change in the event of increased weight, as well as additional services, if necessary upon loading or offloading including use of shuttle, long carry or additional packing , to name a few. As reflected in your account your items proved to be more than the amount you originally provided to calculate your estimated cost. It is to our knowledge that you agreed to render payment when the movers arrived for delivery, however you requested a reweigh to be performed. Our office made contact with the agent immediately and your request was made and on 12/6/2012 you confirmed that the reweigh took place. Please be advised that the results of the reweigh confirmed the previous actual weight determined, therefore all charges are valid and and we made no attempts to charge you incorrectly. We would like to express appreciation for the feedback you have provided in regards to the services you received throughout your relocation and would like to take this time to extend our sincere apologies for your dissatisfaction of the services provided. All our things burned in a truck fire 12/31/2012

All State Van Lines Relocation, Inc, RELO, and United Transport Logistics are names of moving companies my wife and I will never, ever forget. We contracted with All State, which subcontracted with RELO (unbeknownst to us), which subcontracted with United Transport Logistics (unbeknownst to us) to move all the contents of our house as well as a motorcycle from Atlanta to San Diego. They: 1) arrived four days late to pick up; 2) never asked about access to our driveway, knocked down power lines nearby, and were not able to navigate the driveway and therefore had to rent another truck to transport our items to their trucked parked nearby, at our expense; 3) were not helpful on the phone any time we called to inquire about the status of delivery, routinely processing more than they were able to deliver; 4) and were four days past our “guaranteed” window of delivery when a representative called with a curt, “I’m sorry to tell your this, but your truck caught fire, and all your things were burned beyond recognition. A claims representative will be in touch with you to discuss further.” No one ever called. I called and tried to gain information about the company to register a formal complaint and was stopped at every turn. Through our own inquiries and with NO help from any of these companies, we were able to determine the location of the fire and where our things were housed in a salvage yard. We flew there at our own cost and recovered some personal effects, pictures, scrapbooks, etc. And, we’ve been told repeatedly by the salvage yard that the truck driver attempted to: 1) rent another truck after the fire to still deliver our destroyed items, and 2) take the motorcycle by stating that I had given him permission to take the bike. That is completely FALSE. I caution you DO NOT, under any circumstances, give business to any of these three companies. The customer service, not to mention the horrific outcome we’ve had to deal with and are still dealing with, is deplorable. more

All dates requested are estimates and are picked up and delivered within reasonable dispatch and reasonable time. We make every effort in performing our customers' moves within the requested moving dates as contracted and try to accommodate our customers despite circumstances that occur beyond our control but unfortunately at times our efforts prove futile. If we are unable to render services within the estimated date, our customers can either accept an offer to be picked up at a later date which we ensure is convenient for them or they have the right to a full refund of their deposit if they decide to services. Your account indicates that you allowed the movers to load your belongings on 11/30/2012. In regards to the shuttle charges, our records indicate that a Quality Assurance representative contacted you and inquired about a semi truck being accessible at both the pick up and delivery location and you informed him that the truck could gain access. A truck was sent to your home based on the information you provided us. Given the fact that a semi truck was in actuality not accessible you were therefore charged for shuttle usage. Please be advised that the written agreement states once extra services are rendered, you will automatically incur additional fees. Your account indicates that this was explained to you by a customer service representative from our office and you stated that you fully understood why a shuttle was needed and agreed to render payment once the movers arrived. Please be aware that all charges that you were informed of were valid and we made no attempts to charge you incorrectly. As it relates to your losses due to the unfortunate mishap which occurred causing a major loss of your belongings, our office is fully aware of this and we are currently making every effort to resolve the matter at hand. Please be advised that you hired our company as your moving coordinator/shipper agent/broker and not to handle or otherwise participate in your move as a carrier, therefore our company is not responsible for any property damage and personal injury or death. This information can be located in the Terms & Conditions that was provided prior to the execution of your relocation. We notice that our office has been in contact with you regarding this matter and so far your deposit made to reserve your move was refunded to the credit card on file as well as additional compensation for inconvenient expenses you incurred. We definitely appreciate your patience thus far. Our office currently awaits a copy of the police report, once this is received you will be notified of any further action that will be taken in resolution. I hire this company to relocate me they promise to pick up my furniture on a specific day, but was picked up three days later I end up paying extra days and a late fee to my landlord almost $250.00 when I file a claim they promise to refund me only $125.00 when the relocation cost me almost $2,000.00 this was early October, and I’m still waiting for my refund 12/24/2012. more

Not Pleased with All State, Contrator was Colonial, they were good. 11/27/2012

Only satisfactory person was origianal contact by Rob. Second guy upped the price per pound charge at the last minute. Then when I said I would cancel, he changed the price lower. But I'm still getting emails "waiting on discount approval". Then at the last minute, got a call to state the movers would be there a couple days late. Got a $200 discount for that. Not enough for the inconvienence! Then was told they would load at 4PM, odd for a 16,000 pound load which turned into a 21K load. Then they called back and said they would show up at 9AM. Not sure anyone in this company talks to anyone else. Would not hire these guys a second time, and would not recommend them. I think I figured out they are brokers and don't actually own a truck. Loved These Movers 9/12/2012

The movers we hired from this company were incredible. They were strong enough to lift my refrigerator and washing machine and had the skill needed to take apart my furniture and pack everything up properly as well. I mean, there was no way I would've been able to get all of these things into a moving truck on my own. They took what would have been a 3 day job If I ever needed to move again, I would certainly consider hiring this company one more time. Even though the prices were a bit pricier than I hoped for, the quality movers were worth the fees. more

You Can Count On Them 9/6/2012

There were quite a few reasons why I recommended this company to two of my friends since I hired them. For starters, the moving quote was cheapest and all of their moving services were affordable. Booking was easy. I just put my desired dates in a form online and they were willing to work with my schedule. They explained everything in great detail and didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that I had a million and one questions to ask them. However, there was a slight miscommunication with one of the movers. I didn't realize that there was an extra charge for having a flight of stairs. Because of this, I thought that they overcharged me for no reason. Taking all of this into consideration, there's no doubt that this company was well worth the money. more

Fantastic Moving Company! 8/29/2012

I hate using the word perfect, but that's the only word that really comes to mind when I think of this company. They were as cheap and efficient as can be during my move and I love them for that reason alone. This company has excellent customer service and moving agents who will stick with you from the minute you call until all of your things are delivered. I figured that with all they do for me at such an affordable rate, the least I could do is spread the word about their hard workers and excellent movers. more

Really Liked This Company! 8/25/2012

Moving across the country was a breeze with this company. Not only were they incredibly focused and attentive, but they were intent on giving me the best prices on the market as well. I first heard about them from my coworker who used them about 2 years ago. Then six months ago my ex girlfriend told me that she hired this same company to help her move out of town and she was more than pleased with their service. After getting two recommendations from people I trust, I knew that I had nothing to lose. When I first tried to call them to book my move, I kept getting nothing but voice mails for almost an hour. For a minute I thought that maybe they were out of business. But I got a call from Michael (moving agent) later that day and it was the start of a hassle-free move. The movers work hard and really listen to your requests. If your experience is anything like mines was, you won't have any regrets. more

Experience Matters!!! 8/7/2012

There's nothing better than a company with employees who know what they are doing. That's exactly what I got when I hired these guys. I didn't have to stand by and give directions or babysit these movers at all. They greeted me at the front door and I got completely out of their way. I popped in from time to time and they made lifting the heaviest things seem effortless. I still have no idea how only two of them hauled that large washer and dryer set into the moving truck. There was only one flaw in this whole thing. My office desk drawer got chipped a little on the side. Guess I have to file a claim soon for that. more

A Real Team Effort! 8/2/2012

Let me just say that Mike and Juan have to be two of the best movers in the city. They were consistent, hardworking and paid attention to the important details. Needless to say, they were unbelievable during my move man. I was nervous that the movers I hired would end up stealing or damaging my items, but this company really did an excellent job. Before my move they did an estimate for me over the phone and the agent forgot to jot down some of the things I had in the guest bedroom. So, I ended up paying more than I expected for a mistake they made. That was really the lone error they made in the entire thing. more
