Where has the customer service gone?...... Starts out with a phone call to Advanced Window Products to get a quote. The guy on the phone...yawns....""ok, what's your address"".....""do you know approx. how many windows?"" I told him, ""I know exactly how many windows""....after a few more questions he asked, ""What day looks good for you?""......after I told him Thursday the 11th @ 1:30 pm (Long pause) ""I guess we can do that""
Then he asked, ""Do you have a husband?"" Come on, what does that matter? I told him ""yes, but I'm capable of getting the quote"" He told me they like it when both husband and wife are present. Fine, I understand that but where I use to sell windows my husband and I felt it wasn't necessary for both of us having to take the time off work to be there.
So day of appointment, I take off work at 1:00 pm so I can be home and ready for the ""sales"" guy ""Joe"" to arrive at 1:30.
Well 1:30 comes and goes.......at 1:45 ""Joe"" calls and says he's running late...(really) he's in SLC ( I live in West Point) and he can be here around 2:30- 3:00. I said ""ok, if you can make it by 2:30""
He then says ""Oh we better make it 3:00 pm ..I need to stop and get gas""
Wow, I don't know where he get gas, but 30 minutes seems like a long time to me just to get gas????
So he shows up AFTER 3:00, comes inside sits down.
Now because the fact, I sold windows in the past, I have already measured all the openings for him.
Guess what?? He doesn't bring a pen in with him OR the sample of the window!!
I offered him MY pen... he wrote down the list, priced them out, went out to his car to get the sample window, AND brought back in a DIFFERENT window then the one he quoted. (What the heck)
You know I have been in ""sales"" since 1982- and still in ""sales"" IF I EVER provided Customer Service or lack of in which case I received, there is no way I would have made it.
PLUS... when I questioned the advertising I saw from his company. He claimed he didn't know anything about it...his words ""they never tell us anything""
AND BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
