Beware, Beware! 2/2/2012

Elderly people beware. This company ripped off my parents $250.00 for some type of membership so they would not be charged a traveling fee and wanted to charge them $750.00 for a part that they said was broke on their air conditioning unit that was under a no out of pocket cost warranty. When my parents questioned them how much their Trane warranty was paying they turned into real jerks. I did some calling and found a different company that honored the warranty on their unit. They came out to service the unit and all that was wrong was a loose wire. My parents did not have to come up with any money. Yes Air Conditioning was trying to collect money on a part that was not even broken and as a result my parents sat with out heat. Dishonest company. They are a rip off.. I would not reccomend them. more

Horrible nightmare of a company!! 1/8/2012

This company showed up 1/2hr late.. With one very nice technician and another manager guy that was a total jerk salesman!! He used scare tactics to try to upsale us.. Made my wife feel very intimidated. and actually personaly insulted me twice.... I feelt very offended. They wrote an estimate with the highest prices I have ever seen. These prices should be illegal!!! They wanted $600 to replace a kitchen faucet!!! WTF!!! I think it should be illegal what they are charging!!!\r \r I strongly urge anyone thinking about using this company to get multiple bids before signing anything!!!\r If you sign with this company you will get burned!! and probly have nightmares!!!\r \r \r more

Excellent Customer Service! 12/4/2011

I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know of the EXCELLENT customer service I received from Dennis S. On 11/2/11 I called him to find out how to use the service I signed up for in April, 2011 to have my furnace checked prior to the heating season. He informed me to contact the office. When I did I was told the earliest I could get into the service schedule was for Nov. 15th, so I scheduled right away. Dennis called me back later in the day to see if I had called yet. When I told him I did and when I got scheduled for, he then informed me he was near the office and would check into that date. Within 15 minutes i got a conference call with Kirt (Manager) and Dennis. I was informed by Kirt that the date I was given was incorrect and I was then rescheduled for today! Dennis came promptly as scheduled and started in on the checkup. Soon after another man, Jason H., also was here working on my heater. When Dennis suggested the cleaning of the heater, along with air duct cleaning and an electric air cleaner for my system I told him that I've been unemployed since April (I used to work for a framing/concrete construction company) and I really couldn't afford it at this time. I soon was told by Dennis that he and Jason were going to take apart and clean my entire heater. I can't say how grateful I am for the service I received today!! The two went above and beyond what was expected and I will now be a loyal ""Yes"" customer for years to come! If ever there are times when a pat on the back or a bonus is given, these men deserve one! Thank you again! more

YES MAN CAN'T 12/2/2011

Their slogan is the Yes man can. They should change it to the Yes Man can't. I hired them to fix a plumbing leak. We were trying to isolate between the house and the yard. They could not find the shut off for the house so determined we needed to dig to find it. I agreed to this. They dug two holes mixing the dirt and decorative rock together. Now I have to sift the rock and the dirt. Not to mention they cut through my renters Christmas lights. Seriously could they not have been a little more considerate. They did not find the main so wanted to sell me a $10000 job to fix the leak. Really!!!! My husband came home and with the renters help found the main in two hours. Neither of them is a plumber. So they charged me $343 for nothing but to cost me more money to fix the mess they made. The Yes Man DEFINITELY CAN'T. more

ARS is overpriced, and they use unethical sales tactics. 11/21/2011

Ars is the most overpriced plumbing company in the area. How is it that another plumbing contractor that is licensed, bonded, and insured can install a garbage disposer that THEY supply for $199 (look around on internet) and ARS charges $327 to install a CUSTOMER SUPPLIED garbage disposer? I mean seriously... How is that? Why does ARS charge $2300 (No, thats not an error) for a water heater? They get the heater from Ferguson for $340, and they have another $175 in parts, AND permits, and the tech. that installs it gets a lousy $50-$75 for the install. O.K. that totals under $600. So why is ARS charging $2300 for a normal 50 gallon gas heater? \r \r People should know that ARS is being sued by the Attorney General of Arizona. He wants them banned from ever doing ANY business in the state again. They are being charged with unethical selling tactics and NOT backing their useless warranties. Its true, you can Google ""ARS lawsuit in Arizona"" and read the long list of charges. They teach their technicians how to NOT take NO for an answer, and to use scare tactics if needs be, to get a sale.\r Mark Atherstone, who is the head training instructor, and whos name is brought up a few times in the Arizona lawsuit, teaches the ARS and YES! plumbing techs how to lie and con customers into a sale. \r So if you ever need plumbing work done, I recommend calling around first......... Wait, maybe you should call ARS or YES! for your plumbing work, how else is Lance Fernandez going to pay for his brand new Lamborghini? more

YES! Plumbing and ARS/Rescue Rooter are the same company. They are in same building, and are both taught how to make a sale, no matter how unethical. Why is it that they must charge well over $300 to install a garbage disposer that the customer went and purchased himself, when other licensed, bonded, and insured plumbing contractors can install the same exact disposer that THEY supply, for under $200?\r \r If they are so qualified, like they say, then why does'nt any of their plumbing techs have a journeymans card, which shows that they have been through the proper training? If you use them, next time ask the tech to see his current journeymans card, which if they do have one, they are required to carry it at all times while working.\r \r \r ARS is being sued by the Attorney General of Arizona, for unethical sales tactics, and NOT backing their warrantys they sell at outragous prices. You can Google it for yourself and read the long list of charges. The Attorney General is trying to have them banned from doing any business whatsoever in the state of Arizona. The same ""Training Instructor"" whos name I won't mention...... Mark Atherstone.... is one of the main names in the Arizona lawsuit. Since the lawsuit, Mark has been in Las Vegas ""training"" the techs of YES!, and ARS/Rescue Rooter the same unethical tactics, and to not take NO for an answer. \r \r I would recommend to call around to other licensed contractors, before you use YES! or ARS. But then again, maybe you should give them a call........ Lance Fernandez has to pay for his new Lamborghini somehow! more

I wish to compliment one of the ARS employees and ARS for employing him. It was an A/C problem that proved elusive and baffling on the first day of service. On day two, field supervisor ?Big John? Keuch rang my bell, looked over the situation and confidently told me not to worry ? he will have it sorted out in 30 minutes. I must also add that he was clean, neat, and methodical and answered my many questions politely. In 40 minutes the problem was solved, the unit repaired and I was a very satisfied ARS customer once again. As I have in the past, I would heartily recommend ARS/Rescue Rooter with the caveat that ?Big John? Keuch be in the bullpen just in case. His expertise and experience is needed. more
