I started my engagement ring search by doing online research of the various jewelry stores in the area. After narrowing down my top options I went into the stores to explore my options. My first stop was Wedding Day Diamonds, and I am delighted that it was. I was greeted by a younger gentleman named Sean, who was very friendly. He was able to explain a complicated product in a way that I was able to understand and retain for future reference. He also never seemed rushed with helping me even though I can very thorough and slow at making decisions. My slow decision making made it very difficult for me because Wedding Day Diamonds had so many options for me to choose from, but Sean did a great job helping me narrow down the selection to exactly what I thought would be perfect for my fianc more

My husband and I went to Wedding Day to purchase a ring to go with a wedding band I already had. Angie was so helpful and had so much knowledge on diamonds. She was able to guide us through all the steps of finding a diamond. We were able to find the right stone and setting that tied in beautifully with my exisiting band. I recieve so many compliments on my ring and love the way it looks! The service then and now has been outstanding! I take the ring in for periodic checks and cleaning and always am greeted with a cheery smile from Angie and other staff. I cannot recommend Wedding Day Diamonds enough!! more

I worked with Natalie for the first time in August 2011, and she blew my mind with the amount of insight she had for us, and the knowledge was more than obvious! (she pretty much had my girlfriend eating out of the palm of her hand!!). On top of her resounding diamond knowledge, she was the coolest jeweler I've ever met!!! I visited Wedding Day Diamonds in Maple Grove looking for Pandora bracelet charms for my wife and I anniversary. I found the store in Maple Grove very easy to get to from Hwy 94. Maple Grove shopping center can be a little confusing to get around but Wedding Day Diamonds was easy to find. Their huge selection of Pandora charms in stock was overwhelming at first but I quickly narrowed down my selection with help from their extremely friendly sales staff. Chris was very personable and had wonderful ideas on color and theme combinations that a guy like me would have a hard time coming up with. To help me decide which charms to buy, she asked a ton of questions on birthdates, kids, sports, pets, hobbies and favorite colors. What I found amazing was they had various affordable charms in stock for every question I answered. I love it when jewelry stores have items in stock and not ordering from catalogs. My wife loves her gift wrapped charms with a free promotional Pandora storage case. I will definitely be going back to Wedding Day Diamonds for future purchases for my wife and kids. Despite being married for 11 years I stop into Wedding Day on key celebration days like Mothers Day, Anniversary, etc. to pick up a little something special for my wife. The staff there is always great and really helpful to me. I'm a guy and despite thinking what my gal might like when it comes to jewelry I always ask for help. So far everything I've picked up there has hit a home run! So I keep coming back. Price wise I find Wedding Day pretty fair. Instead of trying to steer me into something that isn't in my budget the staff always are able to come up with a item that looks great and is right around what I want to spend. So, don't let the store name make you think they are only about wedding jewelery - they offer so much more! more

I know most engagement ring stores boast about great selection and great prices, but for me when I was looking for an engagement ring for my fiancé, I was most concerned with customer service and how I was treated when looking for the perfect ring. Wedding Day Diamonds provided me with a wonderful experience. Angie at Maple Grove couldn’t have been more helpful and informative. I really had no idea what I was looking for, so I was hoping that someone could help lead me in the right direction without just simply pressuring me to buy a diamond. My fiancé ended up loving the ring and it was right within my budget. I had a great experience at Wedding Day, I am glad salesmen are finally learning that pressuring someone into buying your product is not what customers want. I don’t really go these review sites too often unless I had a really amazing experience or a really awful one. I am happy to say that this time it is because of an amazing experience that I had with Wedding Day Diamonds. The store in Maple Grove was really cool and the sales staff there was extremely helpful and low pressure, which is critical for me in any shopping experience. I’ve never seen so many choices for rings anywhere. I would definitely recommend Wedding Day Diamonds to anyone in the market for a ring or diamond. They really surpassed my expectations. more

This spring, when I fiance and I decided to get engaged, we scoured all the jewelery shops for the PERFECT rings. I was using a large heirloom diamond and they seemed very open and accommodating. We found great customer service and more than we could have hoped for my fiance's ring. Short story, we fell in love!\r \r We were told about a big ""VIP"" sale that weekend and how they could give us better pricing, etc. So, when I went in to make the purchase of my fiance's ring, suddenly, gold prices had gone up and the ring was $600 more! ""No problem"" though... they would honor the quoted price from earlier in the week - but no further discount.\r \r I reluctantly ordered it, but did a little research after that. I found the EXACT ring, same designer, etc., for $800 less!\r \r That was one ""Bargain"" I could do without!\r \r Nice try, Wedding Day! more

About a year ago, my fiance and I purchased my designer, platinum and diamond ring. We bought the ring and were told the nice thing about making a decision that day was that if we ever decided this wasn't the perfect ring for us, then I could just trade it in for the value I paid for it, and then as long as I spend $1 more, I could get a new ring.\r \r Well, that day has come and we decided to upgrade the center diamond and get a whole new ring for the wedding. I brought my $5,000 ring in, and they told me that because my center was not purchased with the ring (it was a 1ct diamond that was given to me from my mom), that they would not honor their trade-in policy. News to me, since I was told that the ring would hold its value in their store as long as I spend more on the new ring.\r \r Ok, I am ready to spend more. Instead, I was told NO, and that all they could or would do, is give me the trade in value on my PLATINUM (forget the diamonds, and the designer aspect), so they could give me $180 for it. Really? REALLY WEDDING DAY? I spent $5,000 on this ring and you'll give me $180? You have got to be kidding me. The ring is in perfect condition - not even worn a year.\r \r I will never, ever shop there again and will let everyone know what a scam of a company you really are. WDD and these other mass market jewelers are a joke. The latest ad from WDD and Shane talks about ""vast selection."" What a pile. Any smaller independant jeweler will give you more personalized service, a better selection (the band I selected for my wife was out of a 900 page book of bands you can select from) and the diamonds are of way better quality. So not only can you pick your own band, but setting AND diamond as well rather than some junk pulled out of a display case. I know all about the ""C's"". WDD's markup is huge. I paid just over $3000 for my wife's ring and the clarity is phenominal. It was appraised at just under $5k. And no, I have no ties with the jewelery industry, I'm just saying don't rely on these guys for a diamond you'll end up sorry for. WDD is nothing but a ripoff, but hey, you get a free soda, right... My boyfriend suprised me by taking me engagement ring shopping one evening after dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect so we went to a couple different stores to look. The first store was great. They offered beverages and gave us a tour. They showed us tons of rings and let me try on as many as I wanted. Then I tried diamonds of different shapes and sizes in my favorite settings to narrow down to my perfect ring. The salesperson spent an hour with us and was not visually disappointed that we didn't buy something on the spot. Then we went to Wedding Day in Maple Grove. From the moment we walked i the door we noticed a difference. All of the associates were over by one service counter and not one even said hello or smiled at us when we entered. We thougth perhaps they were busy with another customer so we decided to browse the selection until someone was available. We spent 10-15 minutes looking through the cases at both the men's and women's rings. By that point we were fed up and dissappointed that no one had even acknowledged us that we just left. We decided to go to a 3rd store just to compare not only the rings but the service as well. The 3rd store was not as helpful as the 1st one, but definitely made us feel welcome and that they wanted to help us find our ring. I still can't believe how we were (or were not) treated by Wedding Day in Maple Grove. I'm hoping that others are having better experiences. Maybe they were just having a bad night??
