My boyfriend suprised me by taking me engagement ring shopping one evening after dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect so we went to a couple different stores to look. The first store was great. They offered beverages and gave us a tour. They showed us tons of rings and let me try on as many as I wanted. Then I tried diamonds of different shapes and sizes in my favorite settings to narrow down to my perfect ring. The salesperson spent an hour with us and was not visually disappointed that we didn't buy something on the spot. Then we went to Wedding Day in Maple Grove. From the moment we walked i the door we noticed a difference. All of the associates were over by one service counter and not one even said hello or smiled at us when we entered. We thougth perhaps they were busy with another customer so we decided to browse the selection until someone was available. We spent 10-15 minutes looking through the cases at both the men's and women's rings. By that point we were fed up and dissappointed that no one had even acknowledged us that we just left. We decided to go to a 3rd store just to compare not only the rings but the service as well. The 3rd store was not as helpful as the 1st one, but definitely made us feel welcome and that they wanted to help us find our ring. I still can't believe how we were (or were not) treated by Wedding Day in Maple Grove. I'm hoping that others are having better experiences. Maybe they were just having a bad night??
