Volkswagen Of Oakland

I brought my car in first thing in the morning, was greeted by very friendly staff who listened to my concerns and were able to clearly communicate the estimated cost for repair. The woman I worked with was also very clear that if the mechanics were to discover something else that I should be aware of that she would call me to discuss it before anything was done with it. She did in fact call once and I declined one of the recommended services (simply because I'm waiting on it, not because I didn't want them to do it). She didn't push me on it at all, which is a really nice change as far as mechanics go. They also provided me with a free courtesy shuttle back home and picked me up at the end of the day when they were finished. Btw, the shuttle driver I had was hilarious and actually really made my trips rather entertaining. I don't remember his name but he's a huge KISS fan and has a really great sense of humor (and loves dogs). When I picked up my car and they provided me with my receipt, it also listed the recommended repairs and their estimated costs as well. This will be extremely helpful should I choose to shop around for a mechanic or decide to have it done at the dealership. It also makes my budgeting around the repairs so much easier. Btw, they're repairs that I already knew needed to be done, so I know they weren't trying to con me either, which is always really nice when it comes to my car repairs. I bought my Toureg from these guys and had fun in the process. This was like no other car buying experience and I recommend it. In fact my daughter loved my zippy Toureg so much I went with her to see if she can purchase one as well. Brady Gibson, the Sales Manager, showed her a TDI Toureg. So this zippy SUV is great on gas, and stocked full of luxury. We has no idea this type of Toureg was available and thanks to Brady we know as much about it as the man who designed it! We are both very pleased! One other rant, I went in to buy some gadgets for my daughter and I, and Mr. Gibson saw me and noticed me right away.He introduced me to the parts manager and showed me which gadgets work best for me. I had an emergency repair and they got me in that day and got me out in good time. Since I was without my car, they had the shuttle drop me off at home and then pick me up when my car was finished. I'd like you to know that the GTI I purchased from you guys was only my third brand new car I had ever purchased in my life and it was the best experience I've had buying a car. I felt like the staff really cared about me and not just my business. It was them who alerted me to the fact that VW was having a zero percent financing. I live 200 miles away but made the drive specifically to purchase my car from you guys and I'm glad I did. I have a dealer about 30 miles from me but after speaking with D I was very impressed with his way of dealing with my questions and concerns and he addressed each and every one before I even showed up. While my days are hectic with young kids getting off to school, working, and maintaining the house as a single mom, I'd like to take the time to tell you I am always happy with the service I get at Oakland V.W. Frank, my service adviser, is always clear and concise, and the technician that works on my car (I'm sorry, I forgot his name,) always does a great job and has a nice smile that warms my day! I am extremely happy with the purchase of my new Routan Van - I love it, the kids love, and my friends love it, as I always have if filled to capacity! I will tell you that I think VW has a great product for the market right now. I am getting 50 mpg with my Jetta in Tahoe. Also your service department could not have been more helpful. The part I requested is only available in Europe but they did not make me feel crazy for requesting it and took the time to look for the part. I was very happy to work with David Patton in buying my very first VW! My family and I have always been big fans of Japanese cars and, recently, my housemates convinced me that I should look at VW because they always had VW, and so I did. I spent about a month looking at the VW- especially the jetta TDi for its fuel efficiency. I went around to different dealerships to compare prices. I first came to VW Oakland with the help from Derek, as he was very helpful in trying to convince me to come in to look at the car (he was so kind in taking pictures of the TDi and texting it to me as I couldn't get in because I was on the road- it kept VW Oakland in the back of my head as I was talking to other dealerships). Then finally I decided to go into VW Oakland to see what was in the store, without really thinking I was going to buy it that day and continue my research, and because I had a better offer at the VW in Walnut Creek. To my amazement, David and Brady offered me a deal that was better than the Dirito Bros and I said yes on the spot! I was very happy! I think the only minor thing I'd say was that after I took the car home I found some "spots" that weren't clean throughly- a couple of soap stain on the outside, and dirt stain in the interior near the windshield. But I didn't let this ruin my experience! Overall, I am very happy with the customer service at VW Oakland! I like how David has called me on several occasions and check to see how I'm liking my car- I really appreciate the great working relationship! I'll definitely refer my friends and family to VW Oakland next time! Vy more
