I requested a female when I scheduled on line, but my original appointment was made later in the day and changed to a guy that I did not want to work with. When I arrived at the shop a lovely woman checked me in and I asked if she would be willing to be my "person", which she graciously accepted. I utilized your shuttle service, which was great, and I was told my car would be ready by six p.m. I made a cup of tea while I waited, (it was about 5 p.m.); about 5 minutes to six, the guy who had been assigned to me came over to me and with the most condescending tone told me that my car wouldn't be ready for at least another hour, and made me feel like a piece of excrement. He told me that the mechanic had to remove (???) (I later discovered he was talking about the engine block heater but he didn't call it by that name and I had no idea what he was talking about; I explained to him that I had made my appointment online a week earlier, and that in the scheduling of that appointment I made note that I had moved here recently from Alaska, that I was coming in for 3 warranty issues, (for which I had received notices from Toyota both in Alaska and here in Washington), and that I had included my vin number both in the body of my appointment request and in the form of the document.
He looked at me like I had sprouted horns, or had purple skin or was a leper. With a very haughty tone here told me that the mechanic and staff were staying late because of the (???) and intimated that I should be on-my-knees grateful for such over the top service. I told him that it was not my job to hand him a list of the particulars of my car, which was special-ordered and sent to Alaska, that I had included my vin number in two separate locations on my online appointment scheduling, and that I had some expectation off a Toyota dealership being able to access my car's particular history. I was angry yet very calm, and this circular argument ended when he walked away. Then I became furious!
I waited for the woman who was helping me, told her what happened and with exceptional skill she peeled me off of the ceiling off your dealership and told me she would broach the incident with him. Because of her and the excellent work of the mechanic, who stayed late, I had a (mostly) wonderful experience, and special thanks need to go to that mechanic to Kellie (?), and to the two gentleman who took the time to help with a blue-tooth problem. Also, it was wonderful to have my car washed and vacuumed! What a delight! My family has been a fan of Toyota since the Prius came out and I'm glad to find such a good dealership here to fill in for the great dealership my dad used in Fairbanks.
I look forward to working with you again in the future. Sincerely, Heidi borjesson
