I just lost a lot of weight, and to reward myself I decided to have a body treatment done. I've read articles relating how much people enjoy them so I thought why not?? I decide...

Bad Bad Bad is all I can say. I treated my family and friends to a spa afternoon and was very disappointed. Of the 6 of us, the paraffin treatment was the best of the whole day....

Very Bad Experience 10/21/2012

Bad Bad Bad is all I can say. I treated my family and friends to a spa afternoon and was very disappointed. Of the 6 of us, the paraffin treatment was the best of the whole day. The pedicure was somewhat relaxing, but staff was interrupted by personal and spa phone calls - water was medium, massage was okay, the nails started chipping etc the next day. The manicure was very poor - I didn't want to complain about the missed spots as I wanted my family to enjoy the time, not feel bad. The amount of money paid with a tacked on 20% was excessive for the lack of attention paid to their work. Never again will I go there, I suggest you do not either. One of my friends and I purchased polish remover and polish and redid our own nails two days later as the chipping and peeling was so bad. Huge disappointment. more

New Me!! 9/7/2011

I just lost a lot of weight, and to reward myself I decided to have a body treatment done. I've read articles relating how much people enjoy them so I thought why not?? I decided on the Seaweed and Clay Wrap. It was described to draw impurities, tone, and firm skin. I gotta say--this was AWESOME!!!. It made me feel really good about myself. Worth every dollar!!! more

LOVED IT!!!! 8/23/2011

My husband and I just love coming to Pigeon Forge several times a year. While he played golf, I decided to treat myself to some pampering. I went to Utopia Day Spa for what they call the Stress Buster. It was a one hour Swedish Massage and a manicure and a pedicure that truly was a stress buster. The staff was friendly and the service was outstanding. I will most certainly will be coming back to the area in the next couple of months, and scheduling an appointment here is a top priority!!! Next time I want to try the Nature Massage. You can get a massage outdoors on a dock overlooking their pond. This is a really unique place. It's in a country setting that's private and quiet. It was a little vacation within a vacation for me!! I can't wait to go back!!!! more

I'm Impressed 8/23/2011

Every year on vacation I treat myself to a spa visit wherever I go. This year my husband and I went to the Smokey Mountains. I found a brochure for Utopia Day Spa at our resort. I'm so glad I went. I was having some allergy issues and decided to try the Ear Candling Treatment-- this removes excess ear wax. I had heard about this and wanted to try it. The treatment also came with aromatherapy and a face and scalp massage. This made my sinuses clear up, and I was able to really enjoy my vacation. I also booked a Swedish Massage which I highly reccommend. I left there feeling like a new person. Also, I love the location!! It's rustic and relaxing. I couldn't be more pleased. more

Dynamite Spa 1/6/2011

My back was hurting from driving & lifting. I found Utopia in Yellowpages. I got a deep tissue massage from Michael & it straightened my sore back out. He was great. Spa is neat, in the country & very rustic. If I'm up here again, I'll do a repeat with Utopia. It's a class act. more

Wonderful body wrap & massage 1/6/2011

I went to Utopia Day Spa went I last visited my cousin there. She had been to Utopia & loved it. I went & had a body wrap followed by a Swedish Massage. I was treated very well & felt like a valued client. I felt great when I left. The spa was in the county, not in the hustle and bustle of the business areas. I loved it. I will certainly go back the next time I am up there...Sandy more

Don't go here! 9/7/2010

I went this weekend with 5 other ladies. We all got pedicures, and some massages. The massages were reported to be ok, but the deep tissue turned out to just be a regular massage.\r \r Our pedicures were the worst. The water was scalding hot, and the benches were uncomfortable and I kept sliding off the pillow and having to hold myself up. \r \r My toes are still sore because the lady filed the down to the skin the proceeded to round them off. The paint smeared after 3 hours of the pedicure, and parts of my toenails were not even painted.\r \r 2 of the girls asked for the paint and repainted them because they were so bad. One of the pedicurists could not have done one before because they 2 girls that had her had their skin painted and 1 girl was not even filed. \r \r Then, they added a 20% gratuity. Myself and another girl had our pedicures given at the same time. She spend 1 hour total of us because we had the same lady doing both of ours. \r \r 2 of the girls reported a tool being used on both more

absolutely worst spa you could go to 3/8/2010

I took my daughter to Gatlinburg for her birthday and decided to take her to a spa for a manicure, pedicure and hour massage. we could barely feel the massage. there were only two songs that played over and over again the whole time we were there. there are no built in tubs for pedicures, just bowls of luke warm water. my pedicure and manicure were both bad. they acted as if putting our hands and feet in paraffin was a favor. they gave us "flip-flops" that came apart before i made it to the car. no big deal but they advertise differently. there was not an actual seat for the pedicure either, just a ledge basically. i can do a way better job painting my own toenails and fingernails. my daughter's were so clumpy we had to go out and get polish remover to remove it before we went anywhere. her toes were just as bad. the "massage" i was given on my arms when i got my "manicure" have caused me extreme pain as he pushed on "my ligaments" (he said he was pushing my "pressure points" ) over and over again and now can barely move right arm. they talked to us and everyone else that came thru the door, and also discussed their appointments for the day. they did charge a 20% gratuity without asking... i would not have given them this, they didn't deserve the $140.00 each we paid either. i wish we had never gone. i'm sore, feel like i got no massage and we have to re-do our own nails just to make them look decent. THEY ARE NOT EXPERIENCED!!!!!! Pros: very nice setting Cons: inexperienced and don't get near what you pay for more

worst spa experience of my life 1/28/2009

My husband and I visited this "spa" for a couple's massage in January of 2009. I am 9 months pregnant and love getting prenatal massages. We arrived at a beautiful resort only to be sorely disappointed with extremely unprofessional service. The massage bed (for me) was never warmed up and by the end of the massage, my feet were like ice. The lady massaging me was supposed to certified in prenatal massage but was obviously not. I was offered no wedges for my pregnant body, even when lying flat on my back. This is actually dangerous so I placed my own hand under my body to support my right side. There was no music playing until I asked and then the CD turned off. The phone could be heard ringing throughout the massage and the lady kept commenting to me about various things during the "relaxing" massage. The final straw was when she gave me a downright painful belly massage...I asked her to stop rubbing my belly and couldn't wait for the massage to end. To be fair, my husband enjoyed his massage but I cannot recommend this spa because of potential danger to pregnant women trusting that someone is actually certified and knowing what they are doing. There are also no blinds or curtains on the windows and so the room is incredibly bright the whole time. Also, the houses next door could see right in if they wanted to. To add insult to injury, a 20% gratuity was added without asking or telling us beforehand. Very unprofessional. Not relaxing. Potentially dangerous. Cannot recommend and would never visit again. If you've ever had a professional massage, you will be sorely disappointed. Pros: pretty atmosphere in country-like setting Cons: potentially dangerous, not relaxing, bright massage rooms, cold tables, no music, cats more

Horrible Experience 9/2/2008

The experience that I had at this spa was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others. I wish I had read the other reviews of this spa before going. The website makes this spa look very warm and inviting. Kudos to your web designer!! The experience was less than. I will only highlight just a few of the odd experiences I had at this "spa"- Pets running around in this establishment, very inexperienced therapist- I was even given a massage and facial at the same time ( I was charged full price for both and was never told this at the time of appointment, made me feel really hurried) I have been in the spa industry for over 8 years and was horrified at the procedures followed here. The aesthetician sprayed puddles of toner directly onto my face and I left with scratches on my face from some unknown cause during this treatment. Gratuity of 20% was added- the therapist performing these services do not deserve this. This "spa" is located in a beautiful area and it is a shame that the owner doe more
