Worst. Service. Ever. 12/11/2010

Not only will the charge you to tape a shipping label onto your package (what happened to those self-adhesive label pouches?), but the fat guy who runs the place is a total d*ck about it. Nothing but attitude in this place. Go to Office 11211, right around the corner on Bedford, and send it FedEx or better yet, good ole' U.S. Post (they accept both, but not UPS). more

Ehhh 3/31/2010

I can definitely fathom how they could mess some things up there. The customer service isn't what i would consider ""good"". But I go there about once a month to mail a few things via overnight mail and I've never had a problem yet. I do find it to be better than the other mailing store located in Williamsburg on Bedford (which has always been a nightmare for me) and it is definitely better than waiting in line at the post office. It's not great, but it is reliable for getting small packages and UPS letters sent, if nothing else. Pros: they've never lost any of my stuff, usually not a long line Cons: they're not the best as far as customer service goes more

F#$% This place, employees and ""Manager"" 1/6/2010

hese retards gave me a false estimate, and when I lugged my guitar to this location (Via Train and walking) they told me with the box, I'd have to have them stuff it with 22 dollars worth of foam peanuts just to purchase insurance. They neglected to tell me over the phone about this shakedown. The packing and box was almost 1/2 he shipping cost. F%$& this place. I'll ship fedex or USPS from now on. I called back to complain and vent my frustration and the manager hung up on me. Pros: none. Cons: Lied, attempted a shakedown and then hung up on me more

No common-sense or courtesy to be found here. 9/10/2009

I was told to drop off a pre-paid package here by a company who's defective product I was returning. I take a car service to this UPS store and walk in with the package but am told they don't take anything over 16"", pre-paid or not. I told the manager that I'd just seen a UPS truck around the corner and asked if I could run and ask them to pick it up. He said sure but that I couldn't leave the package in the completely empty store. Carrying this big box with me wasn't an option if I wanted to run a couple blocks to the UPS truck I'd just seen, but he said no way could I leave it in the store, even if I left my wallet and cell phone which I offered. So I had to awkwardly leave my package in front of his store on the sidewalk to run and grab a truck to pick it up. Thankfully the UPS guy had no problem coming to pick up the package which was still there when I returned, but come on UPS store! This is a little neighborhood business, doesn't it make sense, even if it's against store policy to help out people trying to use your services? I'll never go here again. I have no problem believing others' painful comments about this place. Pros: None in my admittedly limited experience. Cons: Reliance on store policy versus common-sense. more

They won't even accept UPS-prepaid packages for drop-off! 3/30/2009

I needed to drop off a package with a preprinted UPS label so I searched Google for the location and found this store, but also found the reviews. More than one other reviewer said they won't accept some UPS-prepaid packages for dropoff, which was hard to believe, but I called them and confirmed -- if the package is more than 16"" on any side, they won't take it. It's a sad day when you can't drop off a *UPS* package at the *UPS* store. Pros: Nothing Cons: They go out of their way to make things inconvenient more

A UPS store that doesn't want to ship packages 3/4/2009

I went to this store to drop off two packages with pre-paid shipping labels from UPS, and the store wouldn't accept them.\r They told me they didn't accept drop offs over a certain size. These were two boxes about the size of a case of beer. They then told me that I could wait until the driver came to pick them up, and I could give it to him directly. \r \r This was at 5:30pm. I said what time will that be, and they said between 6 and 6:30. So I said, you can't just hold the boxes for a half an hour for the driver? Nope. I said, what if I paid you to hold them for me till he came, they said, the only thing I could do would be to pay to have them ship the boxes for me. They also suggested I take a car service to Massapequa to the main hub??? \r \r Context, I just had surgery on my shoulder and am wearing an arm brace and had dragged everything there with a cart. I said, can't you do me a favor since I'm crippled?(okay, hyperbole). They said, the store is crippled, whatever that means...\r \r So I came home and called UPS and asked to arrange for a pick up (which costs an extra$10) and asked about why this store wouldn't take my drop off. UPS told me that any UPS store was REQUIRED to accept drop offs, end of story. So I called back and told them I had spoken to UPS, that they were required to take packages as a UPS store, and the guy told me, you can bring them here but we aren't going to accept them. That maybe I should talk to UPS about the bill they sent him, or that I should talk to the driver about picking up from them more often. Then he hung up on me.\r What????\r \r Moral of story. This store was rude, and refused to provide the service for which they are in business.\r \r \r more

HOW DOES THIS PLACE SURVIVE? 2/14/2009

I have used their services over the past few years and never once have I had a pleasant experience. The owner obviously never took a class in customer service and they do try to over charge you for everything. The only reason they are able to stay in business is due the fact that it is a franchise under the UPS name otherwise they would have closed by now.\r Please do not give them your business as a place like this deserves to fail. Cons: Service more

GREAT PLACE FOR A P.O.BOX, OR TO SHIP AND RECEIVE - BEST IN THE 'HOOD 1/6/2009

I am seeing a lot of negative reviews here and scratching my head. THIS PLACE IS GREAT. Great customer service. I have had a P.O.Box there for almost three years now and there has never been a mishap. They email me right away when stuff that is too big for the box shows up. I have shipped there and they are always on it with the packaging, tracking, etc... Yes, you pay a little more for this kind of service, but try standing in line at either the Williamsburg PO or the Greenpoint PO and the ""customer service"" you'll get there... Pros: Good customer service, highly professional Cons: This kind of service costs more more

GO TO USPS 12/18/2008

The place is always packed. U might as well take the walk to the nearest post office because it actually might be faster then the service in the N7TH UPS STORE. The service is so slow I sometimes wonder how effective the manager of the store is. Back in Idaho we have a UPS Store and the service is thirty times better and thats the reason I even bothered coming to this one. I had a box at one point but they charge for anything from now I am taking my chances with my house mailbox. There defintely not a green business either I came in with my peanuts that were in perfect condition and they refused to take them. I would defintely never bring my business there again. Pros: nearby Cons: $$$$ Slow more

stop complaining 10/30/2008

All everybody does is b*$%h & complain. Everybody wants free stuff. Last time i checked that is not how life works. how do you expect a Store to survive without charging for materials and service. Do you expect to walk into a ""shipping"" store and get free packing materials (tape) and boxes? haha i think not. Last time i checked, the cost of living in brooklyn isn't cheap anymore. So just imagine how much rents are and how much materials cost to supply the customers. How else could a store survive. You can b*$%h and complain all you want. If you don't like this store..or any ups store at that matter, then just shut the f*$k up & go elsewhere. Better yet, pack your own $h*t and get your own tape (which you wont find free anywhere by the way) and just pay the cost of shipping. Good luck finding the right box ""For Free"" that will fit whatever your sending. If not then go to the post office and wait 3 hours on line there, im sure you'll enjoy your time there, be my guest. If not that then drive your package there yourself. I use this store all the time and its a shame that all these rude people complain about meaningless sh*t. ""my drop off is over 16inches, they wont take it""-well if you have a label call for a pick up.which they charge for by the way. Its a small location they need a limit. they need to keep the space for PAYING customers. if u want a 30 inch cube, i challenge you to find such a specialized box, and if you do buy it, and stop b*tching lol. Also for the person who said they were going to revoke the owners license, ha good luck keep dreaming, it wont happen. You yuppies are something else, your the reason why this area has skyrocketing prices. go back to nebraska or idaho or wherever you come from lol this is NY. leave the whining and complaining at home. This is a great store, but if you come with a bad attitude and with the mindset that your going to get you stuff packed and shipped for free, keep dreaming. Dont expect the workers to deal with ur Bullsh*t Pros: Great place to pack and ship. Especially during the holidays. Fast deliveries with tracking and way faster than the post office. Cons: How could there be cons in a Packing and Shipping location. Dont ecpect them to kiss your a$$ if your rude. more

Awful customer service. And no, I'm not crazy. 10/25/2008

I don't know about any ""vicious"" incidents, but I've had a box here for almost a uear and I can say that they have on two different occaisions misplaced very important deliveries. They sent them back out with the driver after receiving them and notifying me. Both times my packages were returned within a week. Did they apologize? No. They got p i s s e d at me for being slightly upset about their mistake. The way they treat their customers s u c k s, even by New York standards. \r \r I'm sure it's fine if you just need to go in and send off your taxes. Hard to mess up something like that too much. Pros: I went in and asked how much for a 30 inch cardboard cube box. Over $40! That was pretty funny! Cons: Everything else. more

This store is fine 4/22/2008

These other people must be crazy. I've been there several times and its great. I sent my taxes without having to deal with the ridiculous waits at the post office and i faxed work to my office while talking on my cell phone and I was probably being rude, but they just faxed my papers and it went fine... Sorry about your head on the pavement, but I've found them to be very helpful\r \r more

UPS is going down the drain 4/1/2008

Horrible Store. DO NOT ENTER!. Workers are lazy and appear to be in their own la la la land. The store manager is belligerent and very agressive. This neighborhood is very close knit and a lot of word has gone around about many different vicious incidents. I have written to the UPS Corporation to consider removing this owners franchise license. This store ruins the reputation of the UPS company. Pros: near the 7 trains Cons: horrible service- inconsiderate- money hungry more

UPS Store on N 7th in Williamsburg 3/13/2008

I am sitting at home this evening with an ice bag on the back of my head after being shoved out the door by the proprietor of this store and hitting my head on the sidewalk. Sounds incredible but it's true. I was carrying two boxes weighing 18 and 8 lbs at the time. The incident report is on file at the 94th precinct because I called the police. I'm sixty years old and I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I wanted him charged with assault but the police said since he hadn't struck me with a fist and I did show any obvious signs of injury i.e. no red stuff coming out of my head, it wasn't an assault only ""harassment"". This man has serious problems with impulse control and could be dangerous. I would recommend avoiding this place. more

Attitude over service 3/12/2008

Don't try to take a package there ready to ship for UPS either. They make up a new rule every time to discourage you - to large, must be under 16"" inches (and who sends anything under 16"" UPS anyway?), not wrapped properly, etc. They are only there - with attitude - to take your money. This franchise doesn't represent UPS very well. more

worse customer service ever 9/28/2007

The manager at this UPS store is unhelpful and actually kind of aggressive. I went in to make copies and he refused to help me and then told me that I could do it myself when his employee ruined my original. I understand needing to go there for shipping, but if your'e just making copies or using any other services, don't go here! more

Good Convenience 4/13/2007

I have to disagree with Mr. Carvel. This guys in this place are very friendly unless you are mean or rude to them. You can get a whole bunch of stuff done, and it's right here! If you're looking for free handouts maybe this isn't the place for you, but if you are willing to pay for convenience and service, then these guys will go out of their way to help you. Pros: I found the guys nice and down to earth Cons: takes some time but less than post office more

we pack your stuff and give you a guaranteed good service 4/13/2007
