Review content:
I went to this store to drop off two packages with pre-paid shipping labels from UPS, and the store wouldn't accept them.\r
They told me they didn't accept drop offs over a certain size. These were two boxes about the size of a case of beer. They then told me that I could wait until the driver came to pick them up, and I could give it to him directly. \r
\r
This was at 5:30pm. I said what time will that be, and they said between 6 and 6:30. So I said, you can't just hold the boxes for a half an hour for the driver? Nope. I said, what if I paid you to hold them for me till he came, they said, the only thing I could do would be to pay to have them ship the boxes for me. They also suggested I take a car service to Massapequa to the main hub??? \r
\r
Context, I just had surgery on my shoulder and am wearing an arm brace and had dragged everything there with a cart. I said, can't you do me a favor since I'm crippled?(okay, hyperbole). They said, the store is crippled, whatever that means...\r
\r
So I came home and called UPS and asked to arrange for a pick up (which costs an extra$10) and asked about why this store wouldn't take my drop off. UPS told me that any UPS store was REQUIRED to accept drop offs, end of story. So I called back and told them I had spoken to UPS, that they were required to take packages as a UPS store, and the guy told me, you can bring them here but we aren't going to accept them. That maybe I should talk to UPS about the bill they sent him, or that I should talk to the driver about picking up from them more often. Then he hung up on me.\r
What????\r
\r
Moral of story. This store was rude, and refused to provide the service for which they are in business.\r
