Dr Fields and the staff at Tuality 4/27/2012

Dr Fields and the staff at Tuality Physicians are very caring & professional. I was lucky enought to be accepted as a new patient about twelve years ago when they weren't accepting any, because my sister was a current patient. The Dr told me he would always accept additonal family members of his current patients and has since accepted my brother and his entire family as new patients as well. Dr Fields is an extremely caring person and is absolutely the BEST Dr I have ever had. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for the best care available. more

Dr. Fields has been my primary doc for 4/18/2012

Dr. Fields has been my primary doc for over 25 years. He and his staff have been attentive to all my medical needs during this time. I have found Dr. Fields to be very thorough in his recommendations and care for me. Diane and Kathy and now Robin are excellent nurses and have always treated me with curtesy and professionalism. I would recommend this office to all my acquaintances. more

Revisited Review: Good Physician and 2/28/2011

Revisited Review: Good Physician and Nurses, Improved Receptionists I'm pleased to see that Tuality has a new receptionist who is to nice patients. I've always been satisfied with Peter Hoffman M.D. I think that he cares about patients and provides great service. But when the first and last person that you talked with in reception was always rude, it was hard to have a pleasant experience. Looks like 'Lisa' is no longer in reception, so I'm very happy to keep my business with Tuality Physicians. more

LOOK ELSEWHERE PLEASE! 10/14/2010

With so many options today, please take heed and find another group to tend to your medical needs. Although my doctor was helpful, the staff is awful and when it comes to any issues with their incompetent billing - you will be frustrated and angered beyond comprehension. This office billed me over $300 for a visit. I have a co-pay that was paid at time of service and I knew this was incorrect. The billing dept would only argue with me and insist I pay them. They were totally unhelpful. After a few phone calls and finally getting angry myself, they hung up on me, wouldn't return or take any of my calls and sent me to collection. This in turn, became a law suit 3 weeks later. We spoke at length with our insurance company and were informed that the doctor's office never filed this claim with them. When I told them this, they told me ""we aren't obligated to bill your insurance"". WHAT!?!! Yes, they are obligated and actually have only 180 days to do so. Which they did not and we are not responsible for any of it, even the $14.00 that was actually my responsibility. So, be forewarned. Read the other reviews. This facility is shoddy, both in aesthetics and in service. They are scam artists, they provide less than good care and WHY choose that when you can find a doctor that actually cares? more

Good Physicians 1/26/2010

I thought I would add some context to the discussion on this medical group. First everyone can have bad days - other things happening that affect their life, pre-occupation. Sometimes people have a connection with a doctor they enjoy. I believe most family physicians if they are getting into an area that is not their expertise - they refer out - is the correct protocol. I have had people come into my place of business and have some people complain about a physician and others that swear that they are the best physician on earth. Sometimes it is chemistry.\r \r I was a patient of Dr. Cruz which I enjoyed and I was then transferred to Dr. Karr as she left. My first encounter was strange. Perhaps we were both new to each other. I would have classified her as indifferent in our first encounter ( Bet you she thought the same). However, Having gone back to her for a physical a year later - I found her very informative - concerned over my health and what restrictions I may have in my life and willing to discuss items I wanted to discuss ( I did come prepared with a list and she spent the time with me). She was very pleasant and warm in her approach. Perhaps we met that comfort level with each other. The nurses were very helpful. \r \r I cannot talk about the other physicians since I have not had an encounter. I would say it is difficult to get into see them at times.\r Pros: Have lab and xray on site more

Staff very rude and one Dr terrible bed side manner! 9/3/2009

I have been a patient of this office for over ten years. I was a loyal patient of Dr. Cruz and when she left the practice it went downhill fast!!! Thier staff became more unfriendly, unhelpful, and the receptionists the absolute worst! They need to shut up stop arguing with patients, and schedule appointments! I shouldn't have to convince a receptionist I have a urgent medical need! Thankfully I have not needed to visit the clinic in quite some time and I hope Dr Cruz's replacement will have better bedside manner than Dr. Carr who appears bitter, rude, and no real emotion in any appointment I had with her. Pros: Has thier own lab tech on site Cons: Terrible staff more

Tuality Physicians: working in family care 11/19/2008

I've been a patient of Tuality Physicians for 3 years, and I have even brought my daughter in to be seen and urged my parents and my cousins to see the physicians in this clinic. I had worked in the medical field for 12 years in Texas and had my doubts about the care that I would get here in Hillsboro. I've always receved excellent care from all the doctors in the clinic who listen and genuinely care about my health and strive to help me take charge of my own personal health. I found their nursing staff to be knowledgable and caring who are always willing to answer my questions. If they didn't have the answer, they would talk with my doctor and get back to me. Tuality Physicians is a busy clinic who do their best to see every patient that needs to be seen, sometimes it takes a couple of days to get in, but their care and advice is worth it.\r \r I will never change physicians and am going to keep my care and my family's care at Tuality Physicians. I may not always like what they have to tell me, but its been proven that they were right and I just needed to listen which has resulted in my improved health and happiness. Pros: multiple physicians, not hesitant to refer to a specialist if needed, proactive on preventative care, open environment, remember patients names, caring staff Cons: busy clinic, parking can get full more

Tuality Physicians is Quality Physicians 10/3/2008

As a registered nurse and a patient of Tuality Physicians, I feel my experience at this clinic, and my opinion of it, is quite balanced. Tuality Physicians is a highly-respected clinic in our area, and the care that I and my family have received there has been excellent. It is refreshing to have someone answer the phone promptly, listen to me and help me make an appointment in a timely fashion. I have always been taken seriously whatever my health concern has been, and I leave the office feeling as though my situation is well under control.\r As a registered nurse who has worked in clinics, I know full well how difficult the job can be. Most patients are a joy to work with even when they are ill and concerned as to what their illness might be. Others, unfortunately, can be demanding and dissatisfied no matter what is done for them. At times, this dissatisfaction can turn into an opportunity to seek revenge such as slanderous-like reviews. I believe that criticism should be constructive to be productive, and I would suggest taking the negative reviews with a grain of salt. more

Beware of Cranky Dr's assistant's/Nurses assisting Dr's 7/29/2008

This office was reff to my husband and I through a friend..\r The first few visits were on time and the Dr. helpful..\r Needed some advise turns out they do not offer an advise Nurse but req you to go in for appt..\r Request Dr to contact me, again that is not ok.. Appt's only\r Being an adult in my mid thirties and knowing my body, I knew wht my problem was and knew wht I was in need of as for meds..\r But still was requested to go in for appt, even though I had just went in for the same issue a few wks prior..\r The Nurse was extremely short with me and RUDE..\r On my appt, I apologiesed to the Nurse if I had said anything to offend her and though it was a done deal..\r A month or so I ended up in their office a few times a wk for over two months we serious issues..\r During at which time meds were prescribed..\r Each time at the pharmacy the meds were way to expensive so I would have to contact the Dr office..\r in doing so, the Nurse prescribed me the incorrect meds..\r and from there each time I called in the Nurses were RUDE and sound unhappy helping others..\r The way I see it is, we are sick going to assistance, we don't need RUDE,SHORT and NON-HELPFUL Nurses w/negative attitudes.. \r All in all the DR, Dr Kristen Karr was always GREAT..\r The front office and AR dept were helpful as well.. Although at times my appt time was not on time sometimes a hour or so off the schedule time.. For the most part everything I seen in the office was fine..\r The Nurses were CRANKY and I am not exactly sure but these two gals are the ones that return your call regarding questions you may have on your chart from your appt..\r The times I inquired about me chart I was told by the nurses "" I don't see that you were even seen for that""..\r As if I was making sometime up or falsification info..\r The Nurses always made me feel I didn't know me or was flat our NOT telling the truth..\r Then the Nurses would say, I don't see that, you'll have to make an appt..\r Kathy & Diane are the unhappy nurses Pros: Good Dr's Cons: Bad Patient Relations by Nurses that assist the DR's more

Not so great! 4/17/2008

Physicians seem uncaring. Staff is unfriendly and/or unhappy. They seem reoccupied and don't spend much time with each patient. They are more of a referral service than a doctors office. I wouldn't recommend. Pros: close to a hospital Cons: they don't care about thier patients, all about sending you to someone else, for most things. more

Phenomenal Physicians 10/26/2007

\r Extremely accommodating, Great with Kids. Dr Karr listens takes the time to sit and listen. Her love of her clients is so evident in how she handles herself. Pros: Everything. Cons: Nothing. Honestly. more

an excellent doctor with real insight 12/1/2005

A great diagnostician and a very fine doctor, Dr. Abbott listened carefully, examined me thoroughly and recommended a very successful course of treatment. He had a good sense of humor and was very sympathetic. more
