Good Service - At a High Cost! 4/8/2016

I like Trim Electric and have used them several times. Technicians are knowledgeable, efficient, and get things right. My biggest gripe about Trim and most other electrical service companies is the cost. Cost is exhorbitant and at prices charged for materials and labor, it is way out of whack with value received. Rates are more in line with executive level salaries and 100% markup on materials is close to predatory; especially for those like us who are on fixed retirement income. more

We were charged double for their failure to receive instructions from their dispatcher and arrived without the proper equipment to do the job. We were charged an hour for that non-productive visit of about 20 minutes and then the hour when they returned several days later to do the job after they secured a proper ladder. The job was performed satisfactorily, but at an inflated price. I feel we were scammed - the guys said there was nothing they could do as the pricing instructions were coming from the supervisor. Not as bad as John Moore, but close. more

No followm up 10/28/2014

Went online both 10/13-10/14 to set up appointment. No response, went online again 10/13. then called and spoke with a Jennifer. She told me to take a picture of my electrical box, and send to here at Jennifer@trimelectric.net. Didn't hear back at all within a few days. Called another company who came out the next day and gave me a free estimate. more

poor 10/27/2014

I am a long time customer and called to have a simple breaker replaced at my mother-in-law's house so the A/C would work. They told me it would be 10 days to come out and repair it. What a joke!! Are you kidding?? more

You company did an excellent job. The crew was on time and completed the chandelier installation ia a timely manner. Took ectra care as to not damage anything in our house. Will definitely use your company again. Also the price was.very reasonable considering another quote I received from a company I won't even bother to mention. Will recommend your services to others. more

The company was responsive and efficient. However, I'm not sure that the diagnosis and solution fixed the problem. 10/4/2014

I contacted Trim electric to troubleshoot a GFCI outlet that continues to trip and won't reset. The electrician arrived and replaced the GFCI, re spliced the wires and added clear silicone to the outdoor outlets that could get wet due to rain This seemed to fix the problem for a couple of days, but the GFCI started tripping again. The electrician returned and swapped the GFCI outlet again and advised that I plug the garage refrigerator into another GFCI outlet to determine whether the the refrigerator is causing the problem. The GFCI has been causing problems for a long time with multiple appliances and still continues to trip sporadically. Ultimately, I would like a more thorough diagnosis. more

Trim Electric did quality custom electrical work at their bid price. The work included adding recessed lighting in the master bedroom, attic lights, outside security lights, electrical outlets, and under-shelving lights. They arrived on time and cleaned up each work area before they left. I can recommend them to anybody and plan to use them in the future. more

Not what I expected 8/14/2014

I called needing an estimate from an electrition for the insurance. Our house had been struck by lightning and needed electrical work as soon as possible. When the lady called me she told me the company didn't do estimates and when I asked if she knew anyone who did she said she's never heard of anyone giving estimates. Needless to say, the next company I called was glad to come out, and once we received the estimate it was approved and paid in full to the company. I never got a chance to actually interact with anyone but the girl who called me. However, she was enough to make me never call the company again. more

Job done right & on time. 7/24/2014

Remodeling a bathroom in a 70's house meant I needed outlets moved, new lights installed and old wiring replaced, Trim responded quickly and professionally. Reuben, Trim's electrician, completed the job on time and within the estimate. I am very pleased with the experience and would recommend Trim if you have a need for electrical service. more

Service was excellent. Trim Electric installed a new circuit breaker box and new circuit breakers to service my house. Trim also installed a quick connect for our portable generator and explained its use. more

Totally Dissatisfied 7/23/2014

I have had Trim out to my home 3-4 times regarding the photocell that controls my exterior lighting, and it still does not last for very long. This time when I contacted Trim, they sent me an email with their "show-up" of $150. I was somewhat insulted and lost all desire to even give them another chance at my business. more

Ruben and Matt were here at the appointed time. The worked through some very complex issues with the floor joists. Their work was wonderful. Will have them back anytime we do electrical work. more

PROFESSIONAL. COURTEOUS. FRIENDLY. 3/24/2014

Charlie and his assistant showed up and immediately got to work. They were conscious of the fact that i had my own work duties in the same general area, and were respectful enough to not interfere with my responsibilities. They didn't cut any corners, kept their work area clean as their job progressed, and were very "by-the-book" type of guys. Timely, Professional, Quality 3/17/2014

Marco and Carlos came out to install and outlet and move some wiring as well as advise on some electrical issues that we were experiencing. We're still working to resolve the source of the electrical issues, but both were very helpful in narrowing down the potential causes and did an excellent job on the rewiring / new outlet. They arrived on time and were very professional throughout. Would recommend. more

Outstanding 3/10/2014

Rueben along with Matthew replaced a service entrance panel and added a whole house surge protector plus lock out for a portable generator. They were courteous, efficient and cleaned up as the job progressed. Power was restored after 4.5 hours with city inspection and panel labeling taking another 90 minutes. more

Terrific Job! 3/7/2014

Ruben and Mathew did a great job in my kitchen. They installed recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, a chandelier, and two hanging fixtures. They were on time, professional, and left no mess when they were done. They completed the job in an amazingly short time for the amount of work. I was very impressed by their work and how my kitchen looks! more

100% Satisfied 2/24/2014

Michael did an outstanding job restoring power to two circuits in my home. Four other people tried to help before I called Trim but Michael showed up on time and had the job completed in 3.5 hours. I will be calling them again for other upgrades that Michael suggest! more
