After waiting 20 minutes to speak to someone, I got a 5 minute lecture from customer service on how if they do not say things right, they will lose their job. I was trying to reduce my bill since I have been unemployed for 2 years, only to find out that my contract was extended and it is going to cost $80 to quit TMC. I was suppose to notify them I did not want an extension. I did not sign anything. I am going to get rid of them. They seem to think they have no competition. I am having to make choices in my life because of no job and cable TV is one of them that is not necessary. more

Beware of Bundles 1/13/2012

Don't think you have any ability to downgrade your promotional services after the rates go up. I was told that since I'm an existing customer I now have to pay double the new customer rate for cable TV if I try to cancel internet and phone. This was not how I was advised at sale. This is the most outrageous rip off I have ever experienced more

Problem: DVR 3/15/2011

Problem with TW's DVR: Can't record two programs with same name at same time. Example: Men's Basketball games on several different channels during NCAA all listed as ""College Basketball""--only one will actually record even though it looks like they are both recording. The second one will not be on the ""LIST"" and will not be recorded. They can't seem to fix the problem and it's impossible to get access to anyone who will or can do anything about it. I've been trying for over two months. more

High speed internet 1/15/2010

We signed up for a $29.99 introductory offer. It was increased to $39.99 as planned. However, before we knew it our monthly rate increased to $54.95!!!! Customer service was rude when we questioned them and could not explain the costs for their services. We switched to Verizon DSL at 19.99/mo and are happy. We are moderate internet users. We do email, Skype, online shopping and distance education. Pros: Reliable service Cons: Customer service and constant price increases more

Bad Customer Service 7/17/2009

I Know this place isn't in the most plush neighborhood, but they really do need better attendees working there. The customer service stinks. I had to find another office to go to. it's a good thing they have a glass partition! more

Worst cable ever 10/29/2008

I have had nothing but problems with Time Warner. I've had both cable and internet problems and every time I call their tech support I have to go through this stupid voice automated system and then I still have to end up talking to an actual person (usually three or more) and each time have to repeat what the problem is. Also - you can't get Bravo! (Though you do get loads of stupid shopping channels and christian tv - woohoo.) I just canceled my account and it was the best decision ever. I'll wait until I move somewhere that has decent cable companies before I get cable again. Total waste of time. I went with Verizon for my internet and it's much better. I hope Time Warner goes bankrupt and soon. more

Horrid customer service! 8/25/2008

Unfortunately, Time Warner has a monopoly over cable internet. Their customer service number can be busy for hours, then you can be put on hold for hours, only to get cut off and have to start over! There is NO complaint department and they have a don't give (*&^ attitude. Get a dish or DSL or clearwire or something that you won't need to deal with Time Warner...they need some serious competition. You been warned! Pros: Internet speed is fair Cons: bad customer service, sporatic outage, no tech support more
