My girlfriend and I went to Stockpot Broiler last week after a friend of ours who works there finally got us off the beaten path to go visit her. We live almost in St. Johns, so it's not easy to get us on to Portland's ""suburban side."" Wow, we were missing out. Their HH menu is packed with good eats, probably about 10-15 choices, and well drinks less than $3?! On a golf course?! They've got a full bar, I think 5 or 6 beers on draft, and pretty damn good food. We ordered 4 HH plates, my lady had 2 cocktails and I had 2 drafts, and got out of there for less than $25. I know you can get $1 PBR anywhere in Portland, but for the view we had from our table (18th hole) and the overall feel of the place, I'm sold on this HH. In terms of it being far away, if you know how to navigate a freeway it really isn't that far from anything. 217 gets you there, and 5/405 to 26W coming from N Portland is a sure way. So our friend had just gotten off shift and wasn't our server, but the girl we had was super cool and totally attentive, and the other girls looked like they were happy to be there, sometimes an anomaly in Portland's service industry. It was pretty jammin when we were in there actually. The day HH is from 4-6, and they also do it from 9-close! I consider myself a HH enthusiast, and this one is totally worth the drive for what a great time we had. I think this may be one of Beaverton's best kept HH secrets from the suburb-shy Portlandites...shouldn't be though! Good times! Happy HH everyone!!
Pros: cheap drinks/food, friendly staff
Cons: why aren't you on your way here?!?!?!
