A Long Search Comes to an End!!!!! 7/19/2010

My first criteria for a sofa was it had to be comfortable! For my wife it was the design. That meant we've been hunting for""the sofa"" for a long time. Pros: Lots of selection Cons: Fabric was out of stock so a longer wait. more

The staff at the Sofa Company is wonderful. Jeannie helped sift through the many swatches of fabric for us. She listened to what we needed and gave us the books based on our price range, color preference, and fabric needs. I would totally recommend working with her. The sofa is a quality, made in LA product. Delivery time was very long. If i had to do it over again, I would get something that was already made since we could not buy anything else for the living room until we saw what the sofa really looked like. It would be better if they had some software that could show what the final product would look like in a specified living room. I might have chosen something else if such a software was available. We still like our sofas but we underestimated the space. Also, you can't cancel the order since it is customized. With that said, if you know what you want or need a little guidance, I recommend you go to Jeannie at the Sofa Company. She deserves 5 stars!!! =) Pros: Great customer service, lots of selection of fabrics. Cons: Long delivery time, can't see final product until delivery. more

Good place to buy a sofa 12/2/2009

The Sofa Co had by far the widest selection that we've seen, of both sofa styles and fabrics. They were willing to work with us and to go beyond their standard sizes, to modify the sofa to fit into our living room. The room is tight, and the modifications, while small- and I don't think all that easy for them to do- made a huge difference in the appearance of the couch and the room. Good value furniture, excellent sales staff 11/27/2009

Helpful sales staff answered all questions with zero pressure. Sales staff listened to all of our needs and offered many helpful suggestions (limited space, pets, color, wearability, etc.). We visited 3 times before purchasing; sales staff (all 3 members present) remembered us and gave us time and space to try out models/options and make a decision. Ultimately, we were amazed to find so many options for our specific needs. Because we modified the actual size of the sofa model, a 3-5 week delivery time seemed well within reason for a custom sofa. Easy shopping 11/19/2009

After a month of shopping for a sectional, we enden up at the sofa company. We were pleased with that experince. The salesperson, Jeannie, was very helpful. She helped us with the fabric selection, the sectional style, the dimensions with no pressure at all. It was easy to customize our sectional. Now, we are looking forward for the delivery day!! I was really surprised at the ease of selecting a sofa at this place. I wasn't expecting to make a decision to buy that day, however, w/ the help of a great salesperson, I was inclined to buy since the experience was very easy. We came into The Sofa Company looking for seating options that could also include a sofa bed. We were very pleased with the number of different sofa styles and the option to configure many of them with a sofa bed. Jeannie Kwon helped us on our initial visit and also on our second visit when we came in to place an order. Jeannie quickly and efficiently assisted us with our fabric selection and wrote up our order. The shopping format allows you to shop for sofas and chairs without the confusion of a regular furniture store. Their delivery is fairly quick compared to regular furniture stores, but not quite as quick as they advertised. more

Great Experience! 8/15/2009

We were in love with a couch from Restoration Hardware that was beyond our budget. The staffer at The Sofa Company, Victoria Vascelli, was sympathetic to that -- and even offered to walk over to RH to look at the couch! We didn't have to do that as we looked it up online in the store. The elements that we liked we recreated in a couch that will be nearly as lovely and $1000 less! Victoria was great and patient and understanding. The only con is that it's going to take 6-7 WEEKS to get the couch -- but then, we did have a few requirements on size and such. We saw this company's advert in the LATimes and thought well, maybe we'll find something close to what we loved at RH. We did. I recommend this company at this location as everyone was helpful and friendly and professional. Pros: Dedicated Staff; Smart! Cons: long lead time.... more

Great shopping experience 8/8/2009

The sales staff, manager Chad and salesperson Victoria in our case, made our experience easy and fun. I had looked for a sofa to go with our funiture and art for several months, but had no luck with anything we could afford until we came here. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and very pleasant to work with. There are no ""inexpensive"" sofas here, but I wouldn't call them expensive, either. We had a great time picking out our sofa and the cost was very reasonable. The lady who helped us was really attentive and had great ideas. We haven't received our sofa yet but if it is anything like our shopping experience, I'm sure we will love it. I will definitely go back for more sofas! Custom Sofas 7/27/2009

Customer service was excellent. The sofa can be made pretty much any way you want it. Depending on what you want, it can get to be a bit pricey. Then again it is still a lot cheaper than a place like DWR for a comparable sofa. Our consultant, Victoria, was very helpful. There is also a consultant there named Chelsea Couch. How funny is that?
