I give Mission Maids credit where credit is due: they did a very good job cleaning my very messy apartment. In the process, however, they broke my toilet bowl handle and my showerhead, neither of which had shown any signs of damage or wear before the cleaning. Furthermore, they threw away some of my books -- you'd think you wouldn't have to instruct cleaners not to do that! When I called customer service to report these problems, the guy said he'd get back to me within 24 hours, and never did. (They cleaned my apartment over two weeks ago.) more

We had scheduled another company to come out an clean our place. My parents were coming into town that evening and the other company flaked on us the morning they were scheduled to come out. Mission Maids was only co available and they were cheaper than our first choice. The maids were quick, thorough and efficient. We will definately be using these guys again. Recommended! more

We had a rager last night. Mission Maids came in the morning and glued our house back together. It's hard to believe they did it so quickly. Our house was totally trashed. They were even able to pressure wash our patio, its looks like new. more

We had a water pipe burst in our home. Once it was fixed I called Mission Maids to come out and clean up our house which was a total mess. The estimate turned out to higher than the price we were charged. The maids had all the gear and I liked the fact they use environmentally friendly cleaning products. The maids spoke good english and were knowledgable. Overall we were very happy. more

I used to Mission Maids on a fairly regular basis. I am teacher so I have to watch my pennies. I found a slightly cheaper service and decided to try them. What a mistake, they were late, took longer so I ended up paying more and they broke a figurine my mother left me which they won't replace. So I am going back to Mission Maids, they are always on time, the maids work quickly and they arer insured for breakages if they occured. Mission Maids is a much better service. Came out the next, cheap and were able to just clean my 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Other companies had a higher min charge. Service was good quality. Pros: We could select the areas of condo we wanted cleaned more

We develop condos and had several large projects in Hollywood and So Pasadena. We initially used Mission Maids to clean our office and because of the quality we decided to give them a shot on a few model units at our Hollywood and Vine Location. They did a great job on those, so we have used them on all our projects since then. They seem to be able to handle very large projects (we had over 150 units) with ease. The management is friendly, professional, flexible and available for on site visits. Pros: Can handle very large projects more

I need a cleaning after moving out, the company I had initially booked faked the day of and I had to give the keys back the next morning to my landlord. I called Mission Maids and they are able to squeeze me in later that day and they did a great job. The landlord gave me back my entire deposit. Pros: Ontime, cheaper that competitors more

The people who run this company are SHADY!!!!! They claim to use environmentally friendly products, but the don't. I called about it and rather than giving their cleaners the appropriate products, they told me I could have the cleaners use my products but they wouldn't give me any money off the price for it - are you kidding? They had my credit card for payment and it's a good thing I check my statements because all of a sudden I noticed I was being charged more and they hadn't let me know. I called to ask about it and they just matter of factly said they raised their rates, and when I expressed concern that I had not been notified, they acted as though I was being ridiculous. I then called to cancel my service, and they couldn't have cared less (always a mark of good service!). But the real bonus is that I just noticed that they charged my credit card for $75 - the charge for canceling an appointment within a day of service - even though I gave them at least a day's notice - and you would think that if they were going to charge me, they would have let me know when I was on the phone with them to cancel. When I called about that charge, again, they behaved as though I was insane and they're ""checking their books"" - I have a sneaking feeling they're not going to give me my money back! For this amount of money, go with someone else!!!!!!! Pros: The actual cleaning was ok. Cons: Shady and disorganized managers - don't give them your CC! more

When I scheduled a Saturday service on Wednesday, I was told that my window for the maids to arrive was 1pm to 3pm. Today, Saturday, I called to make sure what time they would come and they told me that they would actually arrive at 3:30pm. By 3:55pm, I'd called Mission Maids 4 times and no one picked up the phone (I left one voicemail). At 4pm, my voice mail alerted me that I had a new message even though my phone didn't ring, which was odd. It was my maid telling me that she was on her way and to call her back but she didn't leave a number. I called Mission Maids' main line about 7 times in a row without leaving a message, thinking that someone would eventually pick up the phone since it was during normal business hours. I finally left a message with them on my 7th call and told them that I was extremely annoyed that no one had arrived yet and that no one was picking up the phone. I told them that I was thinking of cancelling the service or asking for a discount, which I never got, and I asked them to call me back. I started getting ready to leave when the maid called again saying she was a mile away. My friend came by and we were chatting for 20 minutes before the maids showed. My friend even said, ""A mile away, my *ss!"" The maids did a good job, but I had things to do today, which I couldn't get done because I was waiting all day. We bought a home in Los Angeles, we are moving from NYC. We were able to coordinate from NYC to get our home clean after construction. They were able to meet up with my friend who lives in LA and they did an unbelivable job of cleaning our home. All the details were taken care of, and we were able to pay by cc. They were able to provide us with an emailed invoice for tax/reimbursement purposes. The scheduler was accurate with the quote and really helpful with suggestions to make our experience painless from 2,500 miles away. We now use them weekly. Highly highly recommended. Mission Maids quoted me a price over the phone, then I was charged for almost double the amount. Thankfully, after talking to someone I only paid what I was quoted. So for taking care of it, I'll give them 2 stars. But they were not the best cleaning service I've used and I won't use them again. Pros: They washed all my dirty dishes. After one phone call, two people showed up on time, understood exactly what to do and performed the job without me present. The house was a mess and when I returned, it was clean. My landlord was thrilled that the house looked so clean and my whole deposit was returned. Pros: easy to deal with, ontime. more

Mission Maids cleaned our 1K-s.f. apt. 3 times. The first time was good, in which they did the extensive, start-up cleaning (although 2 area rugs were ruined due to bleach stains), but it was rather expensive. After that time, I requested a reasonable time limit on our biweekly cleaning, based on what it takes my partner and I to clean our apt. ourselves. The other two times, the staff seemed to ""spot clean"" only a couple of rooms, which was surprising to me given the timeframe and the $90 cost. When I called to report this after the first incident, the staff kindly sent out a follow-up team. The second time, though, the service was even more spotty (kitchen counters cleaned, sink left undone, bathroom sink/counter cleaned, tub left untouched, little evidence of work done in other rooms). I called and left messages over a period of one week, indicating that I wanted my key back and to cancel my service. My call was never returned. When I finally did reach a staff member--on my 4th call--he acted as though he was unconcerned with the spotty service, too busy to talk with me, and rushed me off the phone. All in all, I expect more from my service providers and would not recommend Mission Maids. more

We have a restaurant in West Hollywood that we are about to open. We needed a thorough pre health inspection cleaning/post construction clean up. The general contractor had left the place in a mess. We were under a serious time crunch because the construction had gone longer than we expected. Mission Maids sent out a crew of 5 people the next day and they went through the entire place from top to bottom. When they were finished it was hard to believe it was the same place.
