spa after cycling 8/23/2012

I had never been to a spa until my wife eagerly pushed me to dress up and go to Ivy Day Spa. I was kind of hesitant at first but I was amazed how professional the staff were and they made me feel comfortable while being massaged. I am a cycling enthusiast and I just loved how the stress points were being dealt with. Well guess what? I'll start recommending you guys to my cycling club so they will be able to have a feel of what relaxation truly means. Thanks! more

Couple's day out 8/22/2012

My wife invited me for a together spa/massage and it was great. The way the therapist handles the stress points are really soothing and very relaxing. I highly recommend this place for a couple's day out. more

Recent visit to Valencia Spa 11/19/2011

I was extremely disapointed during a recent visit. The front desk made me wait over 15min for someone to show me to the locker area. The locker,shower and steam facilities seemed very shabby, almost like a college dorm bathroom. Most importantly, the facial was below standard, a complete waste of $105. When I left, the front desk hinted that I up my tip to 20%, when I didnt even care to leave the 15% I did out of courtesy! This is one spa in Valencia that needs to step up its services, cleanliness and customer service. Dont think I will be back here again. more

Surprised at reviews!! 11/11/2011

I have been to this Spa several times. I usually plan a day during the week to avoid busy weekends. I get there early take my time to enjoy the extras they offer before my treatments.Always have had an enjoyable time. Never had a problem with the staff. more

BRAZILIAN WAX 11/5/2011

I made my wife an appointment to have a Brazilian wax. It wasn't her best experience. The esthetician wouldn't give her a FULL wax, said she was fine and wouldn't even look. When she was asked to be a little more thorough, she appeared to get squeamish about handling anything around a female body. My wife left the appointment literally bleeding from wax wounds and obvious patches were left untreated. On a good note, Amy at the front desk was understanding, apologetic and accommodating. If not for her, I would never return to Glen Ivy and look for a Burke Williams even though Glen Ivy is five minutes from my home. more

10/29 visit 10/30/2011

It was great, the massage was great, however I had looked forward to the Grotto. I got, Scrubbed, and painted with green mask and then we came to discover there was a mechanical difficulty with the heater in the warm steam room. I was NOT charged for the grotto, but I was still very disappointed as I love how my skin feels after doing it. I do not get to do Glen Ivey much but I had a gift card. so I will have to wait till the next time I get a gift card. So sort of bummed. more

POOR SERVICE 9/16/2011

Their staff is rude and condescending. Rather than give you personal assistance and facilitate your visit she lectures you as too why you should arrive earlier for your services. Then when I checked out I was trying to figure out if I had enough cash or pay with a credit card and the cashier must have asked me 4 times if I wanted to include the gratuity which I thought was rude and desperate because I still had not determined my form of payment. My last two visits were NOT pleasant and don't plan on returning nor recommending this spa location. more

Teen Service 9/12/2011

I was told when making this appointment that a parent needed to stay with a teen under 18. When my daughter and I arrived, they would not take her at all (despite that we had been in to Glen Ivy many times together before). Glen Ivy completely disregarded the fact that we had followed their directions when making our appointment and then driven across town for the spa. No consideration was given, and they were rude about their "new policy" and made no restitution what so ever. They have lost 2 clients for good. I can not recommend them after waiting 20 minutes on the phone to make an appointment, spending 15 minutes in the car, and then getting turned away! No spa is worth that irritation. more

Happy Feet 8/16/2011

The pedi service with Mary is fabulous! She is fabulous! My feet feel and look fantastic and the pedi easily lasts a month! You can only tell I need a new one because my toenails grow out! I have been coming every month for a few months now and it has become my essential foot and nail care appointment with the perk of having beautiful toes! I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on my pedi! I always tell where to get the best pedi, Glen Ivy and who gives it, Mary!! more

Amazing 8/10/2011

I had my first experience at Glen ivy in Valencia for a mom and daughter spa day! The staff was awesome. The lunch was delicious! The jacuzzi relaxing! Loved the cucumbers and refreshing towels around every corner! The aroma of the cool towels was brilliant! The grotto was exciting and cleansing. The gentleman that painted our bodies with the mask was a sweetheart. I cannot say enough good things about glen ivy. I tell all my friends! I have an appt ske in 2 weeks and I cannot wait! Glen ivy helps to revive the min body and soul. I am a mother of 3 and I seldom invest in pampering myself! Thanks glen ivy, you rock! more

Best Way To Recharge In A few Hours 2/4/2011

I received a gift certificate for Christmas and was persuaded to book the massage/facial combination of services... I think it was called the relax package. I had a massage with Kristopher who was so amazing. Jessica did my facial and she was such a sweetheart! I loved that they use Glo in their facials. I have been using Glo for my skincare regimen for years. Oh! And I added on the Grotto! My skin felt sooooo soft! Everyone was very nice and warm. I loved how the staff wasn't pretentious. I didn't feel like I was in Hollywood. Just remember to bring your bathing suit so you can add on the Grotto! It was so neat! more
