Not satisfied as a homeowner, Rude managers. Racist managers. High turnover. I predict they will cease to exist in five years. more

Grateful Board member 6/21/2011

THANK YOU for all you do for our community. In particular, thanks to the Talis manager for helping to make the Board meeting last evening a productive one. Her “level-headed” approach is just what we need. From where I sat, I believe she came away with a majority of the work. However, it is a wonderful consolation knowing that our neighborhood concerns are in her hands. At a time when our HOA is faced with several challenging decisions, the Talis manager's cool and calm approach is just what we need. She is professional in every way. more

More nuisance than help 5/14/2011

I'm not impressed at all with Talis. For what I see, they are a nuisance and we'd be better off as a community without them. I don't see any of the friendliness described elsewhere. I see that are more interested in being bill collectors. They don't respond to emails. They aren't here to help you work through something like the need for a storage building. I'm sure they follow the covenants to the letter and do only what they have to do, but they don't offer solutions. I don't see that they worked with the city over the parking issue, but they did come through blasting folks (at one point) with Talis Parking Notices. I've been here 15 years. How is it all of a sudden such an issue? more

Pleasant Staff 4/6/2011

Talis has really made my day today. I just got off the phone with several of their managers, and Talis people are always so pleasant. Most of the people I deal with are not as nice as they are. more

Great Job! 3/1/2011

I have been a homeowner at Brittany Woods for over 6 years now. Larry at Talis Management has really turned our property around 180 degrees. He has worked hard with our board of directors take a poorly managed property to one that I am proud of. Last nights annual meeting was the best ever. Lee, a retired townhome owner and long -standing board member, was very impressive. He has been a God send to our community along with Tamma, our President. They are truly serving the Brittany Woods community and we all should be grateful for the time that they spend at meetings and working closely with Larry. It is a great feeling to know they are diligently working on improving things. Although I am somtimes disgruntled about some issues myself, like the drainage problem around my home and the water and mud it creates, not to mention mosquitos, after last nights meeting, I now have hope that these issues will all be addressed down the road. I think our board together with you Larry, are a win-win!!! Keep up the good work! a happy townhome owner! more

Prompt and professional 2/14/2011

My husband and I have been Talis Management HOA homeowners for almost two years. On the few occasions that we have had some needs or issues they have been addressed and taken care of in a very professional and timely manner. As a home owner and a local residential real estate broker I think highly of the Talis Management team. more

Talis is Great! 2/2/2011

I just wanted to express my thanks to the staff of Talis Management. I have always found the staff to be courteous and helpful. I have had several issues over the past few years which were dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. They even went out of their way to let me know the issues would be taken care of and followed up to made sure they were done to my satisfaction. I have made several requests for repairs which were taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction. This is not the norm from my experience with other HOAs. more

Okay, to clear things up, that classic VW bug parked in the guest spot is mine. It saddens me that if I parked a 1993 Toyota Corolla, disheveled, with mismatched paint and bruised fenders that Talis would never be attacked and harassed to remove it. This tasteless, over poster has obviously been holding a grudge against this company for awhile. It is more than evident, witnessed by their pros and cons descriptions and their affinity for the caps lock key. I would say to any potential customer that any review by this person be considered invalid. Citysearch can be a wonderful reference point, but for legitimate validation of a company, any company, you must research the Better Business Bureau. They employ the good ol system of checks and balances. Maybe whoever is saturating this company with bad reviews had their feelings hurt due to the denial of a Facebook friends request. Maybe they got turned down for a date. However, let's be diplomatic here, leave my car and this company alone. Go to a pay site, eharmony perhaps, you have a better chance to redirect your hateful energy to someone as big a loser as yourself. Just to explain to non-car enthusiasts, my car is an eighty percent restore of a classic. It is a highly sought after automobile with a highly educated cult following. It values considerably higher than most cars parked in this community. My car is tagged and legal. The plastic over the tailpipe is to protect my chrome from being damaged (pitting) and moisture collecting, as I don't want rust. That is no advertisement for being inoperable. Occasionally I park in a guest spot. Sorry, that's when the lot is full. I can't go to a dealership and purchase this time piece. It's not a dime a dozen, absolute lack of personality vehicle as the Honda Civic you cruise to Jenny Craig in is. Please back off my car and get a hobby aside from watching the "gameshow" landscapers you so accurately describe. There is more to life than The Price Is Right, especially now that Bob left. I believe in you, I really do! more

Talis = Terrible 1/12/2011

We are very unsatisfied with the service we've received from Talis. Example: A BROKEN DOWN JUNK CAR has sat in a GUEST PARKING SPACE for so many months I've lost count. AND YES!!! THAT'S A BAG OVER THE CAR'S TAILPIPE, SO TALIS CAN'T SAY THEY DIDN'T KNOW BECAUSE THE CAR ACTUALLY ADVERTISES THAT IT IS INOPERABLE. We have "very limited guest spaces" (probably less than 1 space per every 4 homes). This car is presently inoperable, broken down, and FULL OF JUNK. We have emailed Talis about it twice and they've assured us it would be taken care of and yet absolutely nothing has been done. Even through the holiday's the little Guest Space Stealer just sits there... ridiculous! If I were Talis I'd have the car moved (IF FOR NO OTHER REASON) just because (in my opinion) it screams out that Talis is completely irresponsible and incompetent. Whether they care about their residents/clients or not, if I were them Id move the inoperable vehicle simply because it demonstrates a blatant disregard and disrepect for the bylaws of our community, and in so doing... highlights an issue with Talis that, if I were Talis, I would not want to be advertising Ive selected to highlight the car issue, but there are others I could have picked from like the fact that Talis hires this landscaping company to manicure our lawns. My opinion is that our bushes are not shaped and manicured but rather whacked as though the more bushes the guy can whack, the more money he'll make. I've watched this guy go from house to house in a major hurry and whack bush after bush after bush... all down the line, as though he's on some game show and he's trying to "take down" as many as he possibly can before the buzzer goes off... (or something like that...) The bushes have been in the ground for almost 3 years and they STILL look like little unevenly sized young bushes, recently planted and fighting for their lives Just my opinion but I think some have actually died because here and there I notice spaces that (it would appear) a bush had probably been at one time. You'd think the management company would come out and walk down the road from time to time and pay attention to whether the landscaping company is doing a satisfactory job or not... or perhaps they do come and look and find nothing wrong with it because for the 2 1/2 years I've lived there... it has continued to occur. I just think to myself... "the contract says we (Talis) have to have the lawns groomed and ... THERE YA GO.... !!! It's groomed... !!! ... and we don't care if it's a horrible job... after all ... we don't have to live there. It's not our neighborhood!" more
