The worst lawn company ever!!! My lawn has bare spots that I did not have before.I treated with Scots now it is trying to comeback. Use them for 3 years hoping my lawn would get better. Technicians were nice. Customer service if you can get through were useless. My lawn thinned out and so did my neighbors. They automatically renewed this year without my permission because they kept my credit card on file, that I had made one payment with. When it was investigated by the credit card company that said it was a misunderstanding. Still, they charged me for services I did not request. Now are sending me to a collection agency, and the call center employees are rude. Please do not patronize this business. more

The absolute worst in every way 11/12/2021

Negative 5 rating if it was possible. Results were non-existent, customer service was horrible, and the technicians were clueless. Apparently they hire anyone who is willing to run a machine or answer a phone, regardless of having any knowledge of the service they are providing. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I understand why they do not put their company name on the flag they stick in the grass indicating that the lawn was just treated. They obviously don't want to advertise the lack of results. more

Dishonest, Incompetent, Worthless, Despicable! 5/18/2021

Signed up and pre-paid for 6 treatments for 2020. Had to call them 3 different times to remind them to treat my grass. Their treatments made absolutely no difference to my lawn whatsoever. In 2021, I switched to another service which was more expensive but they actually do what they say and provide a quality service. Meanwhile, TLC has continued to treat my grass without authorization. These double treatments have now killed my grass and when I called TLC, the customer service rep told me that I signed up for an auto-renewal. However, I have no contract stating this and I keep all my documentation. Oh, and when I question the rep about it, she hung up on me. Classy move, Felicia. Whatever happened to customer service? Whatever happened to delivering a quality service? Whatever happened to honesty and integrity? I have never once called them and spoke with someone who wasn't rude, nasty and completely incompetent. Despicable company. more

I would give zero stars if it were possible. I signed up for this service at the end of April. The service I chose from their advertisement was "Full-Season 5-Service Program (8 Payments of $24.08). Lowest Price - Guaranteed, Results - Guaranteed and Unbeatable Service Guaranteed". I paid the first two but the service itself was lousy and after waiting a week from the third application I canceled the service because when I started I had grabgrass, clover and violets. I still have grabgrass, clover and violets. Now I received a letter stating I am over 30 days past due and I owe them $67.40 with no explanation of why I owe it other than the last treatment and I'm just supposed to pay it. When I called and spoke with a very rude individual who told me the service was really $36.09 and I didn't pay for everything when I only remitted $24.09 which is what I signed up for and what the invoice said to remit. Nowhere in the signup sheet did it say I was really getting services for $36.09. It the old "bait and switch" and then charge them more for it. Since they did not achieve the above mentioned guarantees (it wasn't the lowest price, $24.08 became $36.09, I still have the weeds I started with and their service is lousy) I shouldn't owe them anything. I've had other services in the past and after the first treatment the weeds were gone and remained gone the entire time along with a beautiful, green lawn. He also left a sheet telling me what he sprayed for and grabgrass was one of them so why do I still have grabgrass. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!! more

Zero rating company 5/13/2019

One of the worst services I have seen and experienced.Last year i took services. They just come and finish within 5 minutes 5000sq ft of lawn.Customers are not considered.Afterwards poison Ivy also sprung up in my lawn.Being unhappy i discontinued before the last treatment.They took the whole amount +Interest talking about Court. DISGRACEFUL. This year the lawn has nearly turned brown. this never happened before at all in 35 years i have seen of my lawn getting dried up.BAD BAD EXPERIENCE.If they have little bit of consideration they will come and look at the lawn and restore my lawn free of charge more

I have 2 houses near each other.The guy who applies it is always in a hurry .He does a hap hazard application ,missing spots and applying at the wrong time. I don't think they care what they need to put on or how ; just finish quick and move on.They put the crab grass preventer on too late, then they tried to kill it .My lawn had dead patches all over.Then I got more weeds .Looked far worst then it ever did. more

Horrible treatment/wouldn't waist money in the future 8/9/2018

I would give 0 star If there was one. I have weed growing all over on my lawn despite I paid for all kind of weed prevention treatment. When I called this company they have all kinds of excuses. Cindy was very rude. I called a month ago about my lawn looked horrible, no one came to treat my lawn. Service is horrible. Ladies sitting in the office has no clue about lawn but will give you all kind of excuses like weather is not supportive. meanwhile all my neighbors lawn might have different whether when their lawn looks perfect more

Bad Experience 11/13/2017

I'm 75 and alway serviced my lawn myself. Decided to try a lawn service for the first time with TLC. Just a very bad experience. They started late. First service was second half of April. Too late in Delaware for preventing crabgrass. I now have more than ever. Five services and four different technicians-no continuity regarding my concerns, property lines, etc. My lawn complaints were followed up with a nice return email but no action. I even paid extra for the core aeration they suggested but lawn is worse than ever after all their treatments. In preparation for the 5th service I worked really hard removing all the fallen leaves, and then they didn't show up until 3 days later when the lawn was full of leaves again. Attempts to call the technician were useless-message saying his voicemail was not yet set up. I wish I had read the other reviews before signing up with this company. Save your money! more

If their service actually prevented and killed crabgrass I would be happy. Their service has been prompt, friendly and affordable. My crabgrass, however is out of control and has never been this bad. Despite my complaints and their repeated attempts treating it the crabgrass is priliferating and going to seed. I assume that the low prices they charge do not allow them to use the most effective chemicals. Nextyear i will be forced use a more expensive company. more

TLC is the WORST . 8/13/2017

Do yourself a favor and DONT LET TLC ON YOUR PROPERTY!!!!! They will kill your grass, and destroy your lawn. DONT let them "plant grass seeds". They have poor quality seed. Mostly weeds. I fired them after only 2 applications. It will take a couple of years to fill in all the bald spots and kill all the weeds. more

Terrible! 8/8/2017

I would give them zero stars, if possible. I bought my home last year and signed up with them after receiving a very appealing rate for treatment. I knew better but thought I would give it a try. The first treatment was very late in the season and I had to call several times to follow up on when they would even come out. The treatment did nothing and they came and re-applied. It too did nothing. They have since done two additional applications and frankly my yard has as many, if not more, weeds and crabgrass than last year. I don't know if they use inferior products or what but their treatment has done absolutely nothing. They also told me I cut my grass too short and my mower should be set at 3". Had he looked at my mower in the shed he would have seen it was actually set at 3.5". Cancelled my service today! more

Promises, promises 4/22/2017

Trying for 4 weeks to get an estimate for treating my lawn. Promised many times to come out. No luck! If I ever had success, it's too late now for the crabgrass pre emergence treatment. They also don't call back on a message I left on their voicemail. Time to try elsewhere after giving them many opportunities. more

No service 4/20/2017

Stil Awaiting, early spring application per our contract. The weeds are taking over, and it is imperative that TLC send some one. We have left message after message requesting service, but nothing happiness, nor do we get return calls. At this point, one can say they are not client/ customer concerned.
