I went to the Studio by Gaven across the street-very happy with my highlights. Its a training facility so you have to keep that in mind-but the price is great and they are very friendly!! more

I have been a client of Gaven's studio for 10 years, and I love love LOVE this studio. Even though I live part time in NYC, I come will only get my hair done here. While everyone who works there is great, my personal stylist, D'Leigh, is phenomenal. Seriously, this place is amazing. more

I have always loved Studio Gaven. The atmosphere was welcoming and the environment was open and pleasant. I was very much looking forward to the new location, however I was puzzled when it was opening. The sign changed from Winter to May and now June? I went for my appointment yesterday and everyone was relocated to the Studio by Studio Gaven. It was crowded and unorganized. The front desk was apologetic, however I could not get over the environment. There was little waiting room, not enough chairs for haircuts, a line for getting your hair washed, and I didn't see my Kerastase products that I love. My stylist had been saying that the opening was delayed because of construction. That was February and this is June. I know nothing about construction but something is wrong. I hope changes are made soon because it seems like they may be going out of business. The amount of money I spent does not reflect my experience. I will not return. Pros: null Cons: null more

I was referred to this salon by a family member, so thought that I would give it a try. I just got a basic haircut, which I was very happy with the results. I spoke with a stylist that seemed very intelligent and I booked my next appointment with her right away. I was very excited to finally have found a salon that I could trust. While I was speaking with the stylist, I told her my concerns that I had with my hair, and she proceeded to point me in the direction of some great hair products that she recommended. I was willing to give it a try, and I confirmed with her that I would be able to return the products if for some reason I didn?t like them. Pros: null Cons: null more

I just can't say enough great things about Studio Gaven and their fantastic director, Leon!!! I LOVE this place!!! I have been visiting this establishment for several years and I feel like part of the family when I walk through the front door. The manager, Leon, is someone that I have the privilege of seeing on every visit and he is a genuinely nice person that cares about each and every customer as well as the stylists. If you don't have a salon that you frequent or even if you do, then I HIGHLY recommend trying Studio Gaven!!! Then, you can see for yourself that this is the best salon in the area!!! I am 56 years old and have been going to Studio Gaven for almost 2 years. I love both Amy and Kim doing my hair. They treat me like a queen. My hair is thin and fine ... and a challenge. I had had the same old hairstyle for years when I met Kim. She made me look 10 years younger .I also have found the best place to have a facial....Kelly. I have had many facials at many spas and Kelly is the best. I try to have Kelly do her magic at least once every month. more

I've been going to Studio Gaven for about five years and have had three stylists during that time. I started with Johnna. I liked her and her expertise, but she often had students and she would not only teach but work on my head and two others at the same time. Sometimes the results were great and sometimes so-so, depending on how busy she was. I stayed with her through 2 pregnancies and a number of students until she left. more

I have been going to studio gaven for 3 years now. I recently found out they opened at second location called The Studio, when my stylist was out of town and they booked me down there with Lauren. I completely loved the experience. Lauren was amazing and i felt very comfortable there. My hair looked amazing and best of all i saved money! I loved it so much Lauren now cuts my husbands hair and my two son. Thanks Studio Gaven for the reasonably priced location that doesn't jeopardize the service that you guys have become known for. more

I was dismayed to read the very hurtful words posted about Crystal. Our family of five have been her clients for years. Crystal is professional, accommodating and very talented. She listens, she is very patient and she truly cares about her client. more

Best hair cut EVER! Ask for Josh. He did exactly what I asked him to and knew the "vision" I wanted. He also gave me a lot of good tips. I even made an apt for highlights next week! Thank God I don't have to jump salons anymore!! more

Hi. Thks for reading. As leader for my 2 salons, I stand behind each and every service provider. Doing hair myself with clients for over 15 years, I have pleased many women, and I am sure there are some I didn't. I have learned and it is a fact that 87% of what we/I do is personality, and rest is hands on. Like my Mom always said, I have to make my own assumption and trust. There are wonderful posts on here from clients, and some not as positive. On the other side, some stylists in my business have been asked to leave due to many reasons. And will make odd posts on here. Mainly a lack of character, and not taking required Education for growth. As well, we spend money giving back to our guests, not paying a lot of money to this site to be able to delete those posts, a few of them however made by a very sad individual one of my TOP stylist dated briefly. I have been going to studio Gaven for well over a year now and was surprised to find that he had "split off" part of his staff to a new location where Dolce Salon was formerly housed. The new place is called The Studio. Of course my stylist was moved to The Studio so I went because I love the way Ashley does my hair! But I hated The Studio. I think it is billed as a lower priced Salon hoping to get clients from Regis and places like that. Good luck with that because you MIGHT get a few Regis customrs but you are probably going to lose your Studio Gaven faithful! The Studio is so small and cramped that you are almost sitting on top of the stylist next to you! It is also very loud. You can hear every word that is said, every consultation,every phone call. While this salon is billed as a lower priced salon than Studio Gaven that was not reflected in the price I paid!! I got the exact same servces that I have always gotten at Studio Gaven and my bill was $10 more! I am very disappointed in this change and am hoping that Gaven sees the err in his ways and moves them back to Studio Gaven. Or just move Ashley back to Studio Gaven! The Studio to me is more like Great Clips! Not at all what I expect from something Studio Gaven would EVER do!! Just a very upset, disappointed, and LOYAL Studio Gaven customer!! more

I am very pleased with my experience at Studio Gaven and with stylist, Amy James. She listened to what I wanted and gave me the color I love! The color is rich with light streaks. She did an excellent job and I will definitely be going back! more

I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the services I receive from Studio Gaven. Sepcifically, Josh Richardson, my stylist. Josh has been doing my hair for close to a year now and I couldn't be happier. I've never had such beautiful color and Josh created a cut just for me. It's the best cut I've ever had. I was new to Brentwood in February. I gave Studio Gaven a try. I was placed with Crystal was told she could cut my hair the way I wanted. It seemed like the entire time I was telling her what I wanted she was not paying attention to me. My cut turned out horrible. I mentioned to a friend at work about my dislike of Studio Gaven, DUE TO THE BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH CRYSTAL. My friend told me about Bethany and I decided to go back and give her a try. BETHANY IS THE BEST. She is amazing at what she does. 2 thumbs up for her. I will continue to go to studio gaven thanks to Bethany.
