Nice Family Run Business 10/28/2012

I recently helped my Dad sell some of his gold ounces. I went to all the pawn shops and they all low balled me as if it were a piece of used Jewelry. We were feeling pretty hopeless until a friend of my Dad's told him I should try Stone Oak Jewelers. Mike is the guy that helped us and he was very professional & friendly. We accepted their offer because it was about 25% stronger than others before it. All in all my Dad is happy and so am I, Thanks....... . . .. more

I found Stone Oak Jewelers to be a great place to sell gold or silver. After visiting 3 places in my area I decided at the suggestion of a friend to go north a little more to Stone Oak Jewelers. Awesome Customer Service 10/16/2012

Really great visit! Sales associate worked with our budget, and was very friendly and helpful. Independent stores often get a bad rap and I was concerned about visiting Stone Oak Jewelers ( which was referred to us my my Mother-in-Law ) to pick out my engagement ring, but we loved the whole experience after being snubbed by one of the Mall jewelers. I'm Definitely recommending this store ! more

I bought a very nice bracelet. The sales people were very informative & helpful without being pushy at all. I went ahead because the price was right and because I'd been looking for a bracelet like this for about a year. So it was the time to buy or I knew I'd never find a great deal like this. Great Store, Stone Oak Jewelers, sold 3 ounces of Gold bars. I got more than any other place would offer, and I got 300. more than Stone Oak Gold Exchange offered. It feels really nice when you can come out ahead and know it. more

We went to several places in the area and found Stone Oak Jewelers to offer the most for my silver ounce coins. I'd had these since I was little and I had no idea they were so valuable. Nearly 30.00 each... And I was in a really bad place financially. I thought I was broke and it turns out I had over 5000 dollars and didn't even know it. I'm so happy I can't stop telling everyone about my experience at Stone Oak Jewelers, they are the Best. more

This is a great place to sell your gold now that it's gone up. No place in San Antonio will pay you as much as the owner will at Stone Oak Jewelers. This is my 3rd visit in a couple years and each time I've felt like I came out ahead. I spoke to Dan this time, but Mike is also very good to talk to about selling gold or silver. more

Stone Oak Jewelers is #1 in my book. 7/30/2012

My Mom brought me to Stone Oak Jewelers to sell my 5 ounce gold bar after I totaled my car. I'd hoped my parents would help buy me an inexpensive replacement just to get back on my feet. But with this depressed economy, and the fact I wrecked the other one, they weren't very motivated to help. So I've had this gold bar for about 20 years now and with gold on the rise in value I decided to sell it to buy my car myself. When we got there I thought Mom was going to take charge so i got the best deal but she had me do it. I met with Dan, the owner I think, and he was very polite & professional. He examined my bar with the laser thing that tells you the exact content of the bar, then he checked the weight and made me a very strong offer. I was prepared to haggle to a better price but Dan shocked my with his offer being several hundred more than i expected so I just took his offer right there on the spot. I'm driving again, I am grateful, and feel like I've learned allot from this experience. more

AMAZING JEWELRY STORE that wasn't pushy at all. Very laid back atmosphere. My husband and I looked everywhere for a new and improved wedding ring for me. I am very picky and only at Stone Oak Jewelers did we find what we were looking for! Mike was so patient and was great to work with. The owner even came over to help us find the perfect ring. I absolutely definitely do recommend SOJ to everyone we know ! They actually buy gold & diamonds too. more

Best place in San Antonio to sell your Gold hands down. 7/11/2012

I received a Gold coin as a gift many years ago and never thought I'd sell it for sentimental reasons, but I had some car problems and lets face it, this economy is not getting any better on Hope alone. So with the rent almost 7 days late and other utility bills piling up I decided it was time to do something drastic. I decided to call a bunch of places ( gold buyers & pawn shops ) since I knew what I had was 1 ounce of pure gold and I thought this would be the easy way to get bids. Wrong... I can't believe the run a round I got even over the phone working with something as simple as a 1 ounce gold coin. They all wanted to see it before they would make an offer even to the point of arguing with me, so I sat on it for another day feeling depressed. The next day I asked some co-workers at work if they wanted to buy it and was told to just go to Stone Oak Jewelers and see Mike or Dan. So I went during my lunch break. It was So Easy and Fast, I mean I was probably out of there in under 10 minutes with my money in hand and I even got back to work with a few minutes to spare. Thank You Stone Oak Jewelers. more

This is a very nice store. We went to Stone Oak Jewelers to sell my old gold coins and was offered about what I was hoping for, but for sure more than I was offered from any pawn shops. The store was a little busy when I got there and there was a short line I had to wait in, but in the end it was worth it. It's went pretty fast and I got my money. more

SOJ is the Best store in San Antonio to Sell your precious metals too. We sold a small part of my grandfathers old silver dollar collection and it turns out Dad had over 1000. So we collected his most undesirable coins and took them to Stone Oak Jewelers. Dan inspected each coin and made us an offer based on 150 ounces of silver. It's hart to believe we got about 4500 for something my grandfather probably paid 1.00 each for just 60 years ago. The short of it is we were treated right by SOJ and if you go there you will be to. more

We were very impressed when we visited Stone Oak Jewelers a recently to see how much they would pay us for a heavy gold chain and 5 assorted rings in different purities of gold. The heavy ring was 18K but we couldn't tell because part of the stamp was warn down. When he told us it was 18K we were so happy. All in all we came back with almost 3,000 dollars and that's about 1200 more than anyone else was offering. more
