My wife and I purchased our wedding bands from Stafford Jewelers in Florence and from the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcome and comfortable. I had been referred there by several others who had great experiences. Jason was our sales person and he treated us with respect and dignity as soon as he greeted us. His knowledge of the business is outstanding and help my wife and I pick out the perfect bands. He gave us individualized and personal attention the entire time we were there. It was like he knew exactly what we wanted!! It is not often you go into a store of any kind and recevie such amazing service and wanted to make sure it does not go unnoticed. I will go back to Stafford and request Jason to help us.\r \r A+ Service!!! more

Dishonest Jeweler 4/15/2010

Purchased engagement ring from Stafford Jewelers in Florence, KY in February 2010. Ordered the wedding band that was supposed to match in March 2010. My diamonds are 7 points but Jason said that the matching wedding band only came in 5 point or 10 points. 10 would be to large and 5 would be close enough you couldn't tell. It was supposed to take 2 weeks. During this time we noticed my 18 Karat white gold was now yellow. 3 weeks later the ring was in and did not match at all. The diamonds were half the size and the band set significantly lower than my engagement ring. I was so offended to hear Jason tell me that I didn't want to pay the extra money to have my wedding band match my engagement ring perfectly. Stafford Jewelers are refusing to refund my money but for $700 more I now have the option to get a 7 point perfectly matched wedding band. Horrible customer service, very dishonest and very disrespectful. I will never do business with these people ever and will make sure that no one else I know falls into this trap. Great Price! Great Experience 4/20/2009

After spending countless hours online and visiting most retail locations in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky a friend recommended I go to Stafford Jewelers. I thought I know a lot about diamonds until David showed me through the microscope that not all diamonds are the same (even though they carry the same rating) There is a lot of differences between cut and clarity in the same rating class. Stafford is Scandalous 2/2/2009

Stafford Jewelers in Florence KY is by far the worse business. Their staff is liars. My husband purchased my engagement ring and paid a significant amount for it as it was ?Platinum? and after loosing a stone, I took my wedding set to another well known jeweler who stated my set was in-fact NOT Platinum. I would not recommend this business to anyone. P.S. I will report what the Judge has to say about the business practices there at Stafford on Mall Rd in Florence, KY. WARNING................ I recently purchased a princess cut diamond engagement ring for my fiance at Stafford Jewelers in Florence. It was a truly amazing experience. My salesman, Don Stafford, was very knowledgeable and helped me to choose the perfect ring. He did not pressure me to buy something I did not want but instead helped me to find the ring that I truly wanted. He knew what he was talking about and I would recommend Stafford's to everyone!! SUPER EXPERIENCE!!!!!\r \r I was about to go CRAZZY!!!! I had just come from the mall and could not believe the HIGH-PRESSURE and lack of knowledge of some of the salespeople. I mean I did some homework on the internet before I came to buy and in several occations I was more knowledgeable than the person waiting on me. \r \r The second I walked into Staffords I was put at ease. I was greeted by ""Jim"" and I told him I just wanted to look around the store. Instead of trying to ""Hard-Sell"" me something he said ""great, make yourself at home"". After finding and engagement ring I was interested in ""Jim"" actually sat down with me and really took time and answered my questions and helped me with my selection. I gave him a price range I didn't want to exceed and he searched and found exactly the style I wanted and in the price range I gave him. It wasn't like the mall where they kept showing me stuff ""just a little over"" what I wanted to spend. \r \r I reccomend Staffords ""HIGHLY"" to anyone. I started shopping for my fiance's ring a few months ago, I must admit I was a little intimidated at first as I started the whole process. I went to the mall and a few others outside the mall. I also shopped online and I really did not expect any jeweler to be able to compete with the online sites, but I must say that I was pleasantly suprised that Stafford Jewelers took all the time I needed to teach me about diamonds as well as the difference in gold and platinum. It was a non pressure info filled way of shopping and I would recommend them and shop there again. Pros: No pressure, Great Values Cons: have to be buzzed into store ( I understand why) more

Terrible customer service 10/11/2007

I bought a wedding set here 4 years ago. A diamond fell out of the set the first week and they replaced it for free. Last week another diamond fell out. Jim (Florence) told me I'd get an estimate within 2 days. Four days later I phoned and they still had no estimate. Jim also told me I'd get 50% off the price because I work for a company they do business with. 11 days later I called and the ring was finally ready. (They say they were going to call me, of course.) Then Jim said I misunderstood him, as they do not give the discount on repairs. I understand completely that this man lied to me. He was condescending and rude. I will never buy another piece of jewelry here and will discourage others from doing so, as well. Cons: Product quality and customer service more

Totally unsatisfactory 1/6/2007

This place was the most uncomfortable place I have ever been. There was a phone call that the manager ook and was totally unprofessional telling the customer ""its going to cost ya!!!""saying it very rude. Then there was a customer who said they wanted their money back, as the ring ha lost its claw after two days, an the sales person said it would be 200.00!!! This jeweller should be shut down!!!!I brought back a ring that my wife didn""t like fo christmas , and they told me I could only get a refund. On their sale slip it says refund on diamond jeweller. I went to their lawyer vince stafford who I called several times with no call back and said once I drop my lawyer he will deal with me. I did as asked and still no call back. No common curtosy, no human respect. Please save your money!!!! more

The worst service ever! 10/1/2006

My fiance purchased my engagement ring here. It is a gorgeous ring but we have had numerous quality issues with it. After 3 months of having the ring, a channel set diamond fell out. We took it there for repair and it looked terrible. After the 3rd attempt at making it look good it is still noticable. The ""white gold"" turns yellow every 3 months and I have to have it dipped in rhodium. I also have to pay $40 for it!! A prong broke on the center diamond and I took it there for an estimate to have it fixed thinking they would do it at no charge considering my history there....no dice! 3 days later they don't even have a quote for the cost. They just don't care about their customers. I am definately taking it elsewhere for repair but wanted a cost quote from them and really I wanted to test them one more time. They failed miserably!\r It's so unfortunate that my husband spent so much money at their establishment and gets treated so badly. Pros: Ambience and Parking Cons: Everything else! more

I HAD PURCHASED A PAST,PRESENT,FUTURE DIAMOND RING FROM THIS JEWELLER,WITH A PROMISE IF MY WIFE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH IT I COULD RETURN IT FOR A REFUND. WHEN I CAME BACK WITH RING,MANAGER WAS NO LONGER AN EMPLOYEE(AFTER 12 YEARS OF BEING THERE) AND WAS TOLD I COULD ONLY GET A CREDIT. mY WIFE CAME IN AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING SHE LIKED. i AM NOW WITHOUT A RING, AND A CREDIT FOR 5000. I always do my research on every purchase including the internet. I shopped almost every jeweler in the Tri State area. Stafford's had the most educated (G.I.A.) staff, with the best prices in the city. I would highly recommend you make them your final, and last stop in buying jewelery. Misled 10/21/2005

Dishonesty on 3 occasions: 1)about the minimum price of the diamond, granted this is somewhat expected, I asked for the minimum price, couldn't afford it, then he lowered it more, it obviously was not the minimum price 2)I asked if the diamond was certified, was told it was, then received a call later telling me it was not, by itself, maybe a honest mistake, they replaced it with probably a less valuable, certified diamond (3 points higher, 1 down in color and clarity) refused to pay to certify the original 3)Was told it would be ready in 7 to 10 days, it took 14 at the most recent suggestion First rule of customer service is to under-promise and over-deliver, the opposite was done here.
