Our A/C died yesterday when it was 90+ degrees and we have a 7week old newborn; needless to day it was a rough night. We submitted an online request for service with Specialty H&C last night as it was past their normal hours. They called and left a voicemail 2 minutes after they opened this morning at 7:32am. I returned their call about 90 minutes later and spoke with Cathy and was told that they were booked a week out. I expressed my concern with the hot weather and having a newborn and asked if they could recommend any other companies in the area as we could not wait that long. They put my on a cancellation list and said they would call if something came up and I also scheduled an appointment for the next availability. I got off the phone and and starting calling other companies all of which were booked up but willing to put me on waiting lists. While on the phone with other companies not even 10 minutes later I received a call from Cathy saying they could come today between 10am-2pm! I was thrilled. Matt, the technician, arrived about 90 minutes from the time of my initial call. Our capacitor was broken but he replaced it and the A/C was working in less than an hour and it only cost $250 for the call, part, labor. I also got an estimate for a thermostat replacement and some maintenance of our furnance/AC which we need as well, but because they were so busy I said we could do it at a later time; I was just so happy that they could fix our A/C the same day! Everyone was soo nice and understanding! Our little baby is now comfortable in our air conditioned home and we will continue to use Specialty H&C in the future for sure! more

I have had nothing but good rapport with Specialty Heating and Cooling. Everyone who has come out to the house has done superior work and professional work. I have no complaints whatsoever. They came and put a new furnace and air conditioner in and then have come out to service it. Every time I call with a problem they send somebody right out and fix the problem. We put the units in in 2010. It's competent, quality service and that's something that's hard to get. I call and they are right here. And they didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. Our salesperson, Nick, who initially contacted us on the buying of the furnace and air conditioner, has been absolutely above and beyond. He was the very first person I dealt with. He's a top flight individual and very conscientious. I have nothing but good words for him. Melanie, who works in the office, has also been superior as well as Greg, who is one of their techs. more

Normally, I don't give all five stars to anything because usually, there's always something to improve but there's literally nothing negative I have to say about this company. Specialty went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the product. They replaced my A/C unit and furnace. I actually had five different companies come out but I was really impressed with their service, the people who work at Specialty, and the quality of the products. After the job was done, they made sure I was comfortable and replaced the thermostat just because I didn't like it. They bought a new one and exchanged it with no extra charge. I am extremely pleased with the service and quality of work and the comfort that the furnace and the A/C gives us in our home. TJ Walker more

I scheduled furnace maintenance with Specialty Heating two weeks before the date they were to show up at my house. I also had to schedule time off with my employer to be at home at the appointed time for the maintenance. On the day of the maintenance appointment I arrived home in plenty of time before the scheduled appointment. The scheduled time for the maintenance came and went and no one showed up and there were no phone calls from Specialty Heating. Over an hour past my appointment time I called in to Specialty Heating to find out what had happened. When they answered the phone they said it was a very busy day and the technicians were busy at an installation. WHAT!?!? How come no one at Specialty Heating could do a better job of scheduling the service people so that someone was free to perform my scheduled maintenance, or at least call me? Again, let me repeat, my maintenance had been scheduled for over two weeks and I had taken time off from work to be available. I now do not plan to have Specialty Heating do my maintenance. They stood me up once. What is to keep it from happening again? I think it is time for me to find another Carrier certified dealer to assist me. more

The guys from Specialty Heating and Cooling were prompt. They came and did the work as promised. They were efficient, clean, and they installed a quality product. We had them install a combo heating and cooling system. more

Specialty Heating and Cooling was really good. From the first guy to the sales guy Nick, everyone was really helpful. There was no pressure from the sales rep. The maintenance guys were great as well. They were thorough and did a heck of a job. more

It’s so awesome that Specialty Heating & Cooling offers green heating and cooling options! I love being comfortable year-round but in the past I’ve felt guilty about how our furnace and heat pump contribute to greenhouse gases. But Specialty Heating & Cooling offer products and technology that are so way much better on the environment, and also a lot quieter!
