Not as satisfied as we hoped to be 2/27/2016

We recently had our 2nd annual maintenance visit for our furnace which was installed by Specialty Heating and Cooling November/December 2013. While our original dealings with the company were overwhelmingly positive, our recent experience left us feeling let down. We were happy enough with the service technician, but we were displeased that the company did not as a matter of good business practice bring a replacement filter. The visit cost us a couple hundred dollars and yet after our furnace was serviced we still had to call the main office and arrange to pick up (& pay for) a new filter at a later time. Then the gentleman in the office was unable to find our order after we had been told we could come pick it up. He was not very friendly. It was a rather disappointing overall experience. Next time we will know that we are expected to take care of the details ourselves. To add an exclamation point to the experience, a week after the appointment the furnace started telling us that it was time for our annual maintenance appointment. more

Service is good. Really hate surveys. 2/27/2016

I have no complaints. All issues have been dealt with in a timely manner. Surveys to verify that are annoying and it seems everyone has gone to this notion that filling out a survey is good for the company. Well, if I continue to get surveys, that is the one place I will be quite dissatisfied. NO MORE SURVEYS. more

Excellent service in every way! 2/24/2016

From our initial sales consult with Bob to our annual inspection of our new furnace with Jason, Specialty Heating and Cooling has done themselves proud. Their communication both in person and email has been consistently prompt, thorough, and extremely helpful. In a time when customer service has slowly deteriorated, the character of this company stands alone as being ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! Oh, and we love our high efficiency furnace! What a remarkable difference in our comfort, ease of use, and heating bill. more

20 years of service and still going. 2/23/2016

Specialty Heating & Cooling came to do their semi annual maintenance on the AC and heating units in our home. We have been using them for 20 years, they actually installed the units when we first built the house and have since replaced them a couple of times. We have been very happy with them, we have never used anyone else mostly because they have a better idea of whats going on. They know they system and how it is supposed to be working. I would definitely recommend them. more

SHC has installed quite a few commercial and residential mechanical systems for me since 1992. Not the lowest bidder, but better equipment and much less problems for tenants. more

Overall experience - awesome 2/23/2016

I do have some thoughts I'd like to share. When having to order parts from the factory; in our case they were coils for our electric furnaces. And often times coils can be damaged in shipping. Maybe have that job staged the day before. Check out the parts to make sure all is good there and the job is ready to go for the next day. If there is a problem then you have the opportunity to get items right before showing up on the job. In our case, the coils were damaged and then there was confusion that they also were not the correct TXV coils. This caused our 1 day job to be a 3 day job which I'm sure also affected your profitability. The Technician was very friendly and was doing his best to complete the job. more

They did a great job 2/23/2016

I am a realtor so I have used them many times for repairs and installation including in my own home. My upstairs had extremely poor heating and cooling consistency room to room. They did a wonderful job of revising the ductwork to make for a constant temperature room to room. The difference is amazing. I would highly recommend them for quality work. more
