Pre-Birthday Hair color 12/8/2011

I had a great experience there as always. My hairstylist Jameson always does such a wonderful job on my hair, but I do have to say this time the way my hair was colored and cut was one of my top favorites. I came in before my birthday and left feeling great and ready to show off my new color and cut! The service is great right when you walk in the door. Everyone is very professional and I was offered something to drink right away as I waited briefly. I have been coming there for awhile now, because of the service and quality of hair care. I thought they did a satisfactory job on my hair and make-up, I wasn't overly impressed not sure I'd do it again but I do love the massage experience at Spa Bleu very tranquil. more

Always wonderful and attentive! 11/25/2011

Facial was great. Everything at Spa Bleu has always been great. I also want to say in the several years I've been going to both Dundee and Barrington, I've NEVER felt pushed to buy ANY of the products. I've purchased because I know Aveda is great stuff! There is always a variety of suggested products at the checkout and my stylist will always make sure that I don't leave without making sure I'm stocked on what I consistently use. They also follow-up to get feedback on the new products I try. They really care that I'm happy with the products. In fact, at this last visit, to show how much products are NOT pushed, I confused the girl at reception by pulling one of my intended purchases away from the others and she only charged me for that product. We had to do another transaction because I seemed SLIGHTLY uninterested in the other product. No pushing at all! more

haircut experience 11/23/2011

My recent experience was just ok. I am pretty happy with my haircut, but I wasn't happy that the person cutting my hair directed her conversation to other people nearby. I hate getting my haircut when there is dead silence and I have to constantly come up with topics to chat about, or when the person cutting my hair would rather talk to others and exclude me like I am not there. I am considering finding another salon for next time, where I will not feel ignored. more
