I had Solvit Home Services put in a furnace and heating system. I had no problems with it! I would recommend them to anybody, they do a good job. They also come when you need them to. I needed them to come really quickly, and they came immediately. more

Efficient company. 12/22/2014

I have been using Solvit Home Services for a few years now, and have always been happy with their work. They recently cleaned up my drain that had been clogged up with grease. I appreciated how they accommodated me immediately when I called the same day. They explained what they were going to do, and did exactly as they said they would. I would highly recommend them. more

My experience with Solvit Home Services was top notch. The technician that showed up to my home was punctual and courteous. He worked quickly and was a pleasure to work with. He fixed my furnace and got it up and running again in no time. I had no problems with them at all. more

Quality reliable service. 12/18/2014

Solvit Home Services come to do my oil burner once every year. I have had them for years now with a contract; they are always here when I call. In the 5 plus years I have had them, I have never had a problem and always deliver through snow storms, etc. more

Propane heating/hot water unit not working 12/15/2014

These guys did an awesome job! From the the quick response to our initial call, to the completion of repair, the techs worked efficiently and treated us with respect. They assured us they would find and fix the problem even if it took all night. Other than waiting for a part to come in, they at least made sure the hot water was working and even had a little heat which was a huge improvement from the last guy (from a different business that our warranty company sub-contracted out) who left us with NO hot water and No heat and had an attitude on top of that. I am so glad we called Solvit. Now we have piece of mind with their Home Protection Plan. Knowing they guarantee their repairs and replacement parts assures us we wont have to pay out for the same problem twice. I can't say enough how grateful we are to them. Definitely recommend for any homeowner or condo owner! more

A pleasurable experience. 12/8/2014

Solvit Home Services does the job well in record time. Steve recently replaced a lever on my toilet and unclogged my sink drain. He was very personable and did a fine job. I love that he explained everything, and also got the job done efficiently. I have been using Solvit for about five or six years now, and I will continue to do so whenever necessary. more

From start to finish, Solvit Home Services delivered excellent service. The salesman was very professional and simply extremely helpful and kind. He wasn't pushy and offered honest options to best suit our needs. This was our first time using them and we were happy with how easy it was to speak with the salesman. We bought a water heater from them and it has been running excellently. The prices were good. I'd recommend them. more

Solvit Home Services came to my house to fix a leak that was coming from the boy's bathroom and into my laundry room. They came right in and came right to the problem and solved it. They were very pleasant and I was the most inspired by his honest concern to the problem and did not stop until he found it. They are very pleasant people and the right ones for the job! more

They are the best 12/1/2014

Solvit Home Services comes once a year to do my annual maintenance services once a year. I have a rather sophisticated water system that they installed. However, if there is ever an emergency situation, they are always right on top of everything. I give personal credit to Lucas in particular, the technician who comes to the house. He is absolutely superb at what he does, and he has wonderful interpersonal skills. It is always a pleasure to deal with him . Also, the women in the back office whom I speak to by phone are always on top of things, and they call to let people know they are on their way. They really have a nice sense of customer service and customer support. I have been doing business with them for a number of years. more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES! 11/20/2014

If there was a negative rating, this company would get it. I called them for a plumbing issue in my rental home. The plumber met my tenant, fixed the immediate problem, told me I needed many pipes replaced, convinced me to buy their service plan, and arranged to meet me at the home another day to show me everything he felt needed repair. I drove 6 hours with a baby to meet him at the home, waited for 1.5 hours and then called to see where he was. I was then told he was running 3 hours late and might not make it before 5. I asked for a copy of the report to be sent to me since I still had to drive 6 hours back home. After many calls, I still never received the info. I then arranged for the company to do the "free" furnace and electrical maintenance that came with the service plan I was suckered into. They claimed they did the inspection, however my tenant said nobody came into the actual apartment. I again requested a copy of the report, never received it. Customer service is completely incompetent and this company obviously doesn't care about its customers. more

Thank you Solvit! 11/18/2014

We recently purchased a home and had all of the copper water lines stolen. I called Solvit and was given an appointment right way!! They sent out a plumber by the name of Chuck who went through everything with us. He pointed out where the damage was and everything that he would have to do to replace it all . He went through the home to be sure that there was no further damage to the pipes in the wall as they pulled down the pipes. He was up front with all the costs and permit fees, and at the end there was NO HIDDEN costs!! The day of the installation they arrived on time, Chuck and a helper Leland spent most of the day there and explained everything and answered all of our questions. The new pipe was replaced and color coded!! No guessing if it is a hot or cold water line. I was very please with everything, from the first call to the office staff to the follow up call when the job was complete to make sure that all went well. Thank you to Solvit and all of its staff for taking the stress out of this terrible ordeal . more

Ac problem 8/26/2014

We had Solvit check out our AC system in early August. Per the technician all was fine with the system, but we needed refrigerant. Paid a lot of $ for that. The weather has been cold so we did not use our AC until yesterday. Well our outside fan compressor started to go on and off repetively. We had Solvit come back and low and behold a valve is no good that their prior technician said was fine. Was the prior tech not qualified and damaged the system when he put it back together? He was an installer and not a service tech per him. We will see how this evolves. more

The people at Solvit Home Services were knowledgeable, friendly and courteous, but the service was overpriced. I paid $575 for two shutoff valves and the plumbing -- just obscene! more

Very professional and pleasant people to work with. 7/21/2014

My experience with Solvit Home Services has brought me both great joy and high expense. The guys who come to do the service are great, very kind and personable, courteous and willing to hear you out on all your issues about the service being done. But one of the things I've wondered about is the "up-sell" of replacement parts during the service, which seems to happen every time even when I call them out for just an inspection. Other than that, I have been very happy with the service, although it's been costly at times, and will continue to use them in the future as needed be. I also would like to recommend their services to anybody else in the local area or market, looking for a quality HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical repair. These folks do a wonderful job in terms of repair. more

They're really great people that do their best to make it happen. 5/28/2014

We've dealt with 3 gentlemen at Solvit Home Services so far and they were all respectful, courteous, and cared about what they were doing and how they were doing it for us. We had one little problem with one of the handles being installed incorrectly, and they gladly sent someone out a few days later to quickly get it fixed. I really enjoyed the crew that came out. We've used their services twice, and in the first time, they repaired the leaky drain under the kitchen sink, which required a lot of work. Recently, they came and installed a new kitchen faucet. The guys that are coming out to do the work, and even the office people that I've been speaking to to set up appointments, seem to really care about what you need done. They try hard to make everything happen. My wife was very happy with them and you know how it goes, happy wife = happy life! Just our overall experience with them has been solid and successful so far. more

It's been a trustworthy, good experience 5/21/2014

Solvit Home Services are really wonderful. We've had their service for quite a while. They replaced our furnace, they maintain the furnace and air conditioner, and they've done some plumbing. I can't say enough about them. The techs who come out are really good. I feel very comfortable with them. It's expensive, but we have a service plan which helps. I recommend that. They come through and do what is necessary, and they do a professional job. more

Turned an unpleasant experience into a pleasant one! 5/20/2014

Solvit Home Services turned an unpleasant experience into a more pleasant experience. I was unlucky enough to have to use them a couple of times during the same week. I think my house was staging a revolution, so there was a lot of stuff for them to do. Both the technicians that came out were very nice and very helpful people, and the people on the phone were particularly friendly. They told me they would be here between eleven and one. When it got to be about 11:15 am, I got a phone call telling me the tech had been caught up in the job he was doing before me. They said the window would be more like twelve to one, but that I was the next in line. Certainly that type of thing happens all the time in their business, but it was really nice to get a call telling me that they would be here during the later portion of the window. It's unfortunate in this day and age that it doesn't seem that companies care about good customer service from beginning to end. Most companies don't seem to care about the little things, but Solvit did. I thought they did a good job. I was happy with their service, and I consider myself a fairly picky consumer. They made me laugh about the problems going on with my house, and that made the experience better! more
