Shapiro Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

I found Dr. Shapiro online and had heard about him through word of mouth. I really liked his photo galleries and the various testimonials that he has posted on his website. I had rhinoplasty and breast augmentation in January with him, because he seemed to really understand what my end goal was. My original consultation wasn't even for rhinoplasty. It just kind of came up at the end of the consultation, and he seemed to understand exactly what I was talking about and what my concerns were. He seemed to have lots of confidence in what he could for me. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He is very passionate about his profession. Everyone at the office has been wonderful throughout the whole process. more

On December 27th, I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with some fat injections with Dr. Shapiro. I looked at his site and saw that there were so many testimonials and lots of pictures. It was clear that the work that he did was incredible. During my consultation, he showed different pictures and used new technology. He was knowledgeable and so down to earth. I was very impressed with him and knew that I didn't have to go any further. He’s very gifted and down to earth, which is an incredible combination. I work in the medical field and you don’t often see that combination now. After my surgery I didn't have to take any pain medication. I did have some swelling and you could hardly see that or the minor bruising. I’m extremely happy with my results. I still very much look like me. I never felt completely bad or anything too horrible before, but now I don’t even bother with eye makeup anymore. I just feel more carefree about leaving the house. I’m thankful to all the people who wrote testimonials, which helped me get an idea of what to expect. That, along with the postop pictures was extremely helpful to me. Several years ago, I worked with a young woman who had seen Dr. Shapiro for multiple procedures. I thought she looked great and she raved about him. So, I went in for a facelift and some fat injections under my eyes and on my jaw line. Dr. Shapiro was very good about helping me see what I was going to look like visually by explaining it and showing me pictures and things like that. I felt confident with him. He had a clear understanding of what I wanted done, and he also kind of looked at me like an artist would and made a few suggestions and explained why he thought I would be happy with those things. I wouldn't have seen little things that he pointed out would make an improvement, which I’m ecstatic about. I'm very, very happy with everything he did with my face. It’s scary, I mean, this was my first go with this so I didn't really know what to expect, but they were really good about explaining what to expect at each phase. They tell you at what point you’ll be comfortable going out in public and at what point you’ll be able to wear makeup, and that kind of thing. So, it’s been just as they said it would be, not difficult at all. Thankfully, I haven't had any bumps. I literally had no pain but I did have a fair amount of swelling, which was normal. He did a fairly substantial face lift and some muscle reduction on my jaw line. It was nothing horrific though. I would encourage anybody that is thinking about a procedure to come in for a consultation because Dr. Shapiro is very good about answering questions and giving you the information you need to make a good decision. I had been to Dr. Shapiro's office before to have some laser work done on my face and one time I was just sitting down and started looking through his book. I liked what I saw in his book, the previous patients that he had completed the surgery on in the photo book were very nice. I was happy with previous work I had done here to and thought that this was the best place to come to for my bilateral breast lift that I did this past November. I am totally happy with my results. I had a bilateral breast implant exchange on November 13. I chose Dr. Shapiro because several of my girlfriends had, had him re-do implants that other surgeons had done. I actually came in and sat in a girlfriend of mine’s consultation. They are very happy with the results because he was able to fix whatever was wrong with them. I really liked that he is known for his plastic surgery and that his scarring is minimal. He is a perfectionist and you can tell by the way he dresses and carries himself, every part of him screams that. He has very good bedside manner and is very proud of his work. He was always very professional and very friendly. I felt very well taken care of. My particular procedure was not easy because I had implants before and the pocket had popped and he had to put different sizes in and repair a pocket that had ripped. He absolutely nailed it, they're perfect. It was not easy. I don't know that another surgeon could have done a better job. I love the size, the shape, the amount of cleavage and the fact that they're both the same. more

I recently had a procedure done with Dr. Shapiro. It was a Facelift, and I did it September 27, 2013. Dr. Shapiro was referred to me and the consultation was great. At that time, I didn't know if I was going to choose him or not but he made me feel very comfortable, so I didn't even try to go to anyplace else. The staff at his office is wonderful. The whole process was great as far as surgery goes. After the procedure, the recovery for me went well and the follow-up care from the doctor and his staff was amazing. I can't think of one specific thing that I like the most about my results. I'm just pleased overall. I would tell any potential patients that Dr. Shapiro has an artistic flare to him and I think people will be 100% confident with him. more

I had a procedure with Dr. Shapiro in June of 2012, an Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty with Fat Transfer to the cheekbones and Facelift. He was recommended by another doctor that I had. I came to Dr. Shapiro and he really just made me feel better about it, though. The procedure was what I expected and he prepped me for everything. Following the procedure, the recovery was pretty easy, and he prepped me pretty well, so I knew what to expect. The follow-up care from the doctor has been excellent. He has continued to see me all the way through and just make me feel OK about the healing process and everything. I love the results. What I like most is that my eyes were my biggest concern and so it was kind of his major concern. I just am so pleased with how they came out. Then, he did some Fat Transfer into my cheekbones, which I wasn’t considering, but I'm glad that he did it because I love the way that turned out. Everything looks really natural, so that made me very happy. No one knows, people just think I look good but no one can tell that I've had anything done. Dr. Shapiro is very knowledgeable. He listens to your concern and to what's important to you. He understands what's important to you, I think. The staff at his office is very friendly. Overall it's been a stupendous experience. more

The procedures I had done July 22 were a Breast Lift and Breast Augmentation. I also had a Tummy Tuck and Liposuction on my thighs. Honestly, Dr. Shapiro had the best reviews and he appeared to be the most knowledgeable in his field. I was pleasantly surprised. He and his staff are welcoming, and they make you comfortable. It was an exciting experience for me overall. I'm the type of patient who asks a hundred questions. They were so very accommodating to my needs and my results were good - better than anticipated. Everything seems so new and really nice. They said I would have more of an hour-glass figure and they were right. Dr. Shapiro's manner is very open. He is meticulous doctor and he takes his time. more

On May 6, I underwent a Rhinoplasty procedure with Dr. Shapiro. I'd researched him online and found very good reviews of his work. The consultation went smoothly. He listened to my concerns and I saw that we were on the same page as far as what needed to be done and why I was dissatisfied with the appearance of my nose. I thought my nose was too big for my face. My nose had a hump and the tip was unrefined. The surgery went well for me and the care that I received, as well as the aftercare, were great. I am very happy with the results and would absolutely recommend Dr. Shapiro. He is a great physician and a great surgeon. His staff is very responsive and courteous. more

Dr. Shapiro is one of the best here in the valley. He spent a lot of time with me to make me understand what I was going to go through and what I was looking after. After the breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and liposuction of the flanks I didn’t have any bruising. I was amazed! I look really great since the surgery and I’m really happy. I had a Blepharoplasty, Upper and Lower. It's been about six weeks, I think, something like that. The results are excellent, just really excellent. Everything has completely healed, and I just have one little area that has just a slight little bit of swelling still in it, which should resolve itself within the next couple of weeks, but I'm very happy and I look a lot better than I did before. My eyelids were all puffy and I had a lot of loose skin hanging on the lower part of the eyelids on my face. My eyes just look much better. I certainly would recommend him. I can only speak for the procedure that I had done, and I would certainly recommend that anyone looking to have that procedure done come to see him. It's been a great experience. The staff made me feel comfortable here and I felt that I was in good hands. They keep me updated with upcoming appointments and are really interactive. After I fell asleep before the surgery I didn’t remember much, but after waking up, everyone was really nice and helped me out. It was relatively pleasant after having just been operated on for a breast augmentation and mastopexy. There wasn’t a lot of pain during recovery and Dr. Shapiro ensured that everything was going smoothly and beautifully. My Breast Augmentation was done with Dr. Shapiro on April 17. I chose him because of his expertise, his beautiful office and the excellent location. The consultation went wonderfully. He asked me what I wanted and then he suggested what he thought would be good for me. The surgery went quickly and well. The recovery process also went well. I am five weeks out now and feeling great. I am so happy with my results. They are perfect. I wouldn't have gone any smaller or larger. I was nervous about it at first but I put my trust in Dr. Shapiro and he was right in every way. I would absolutely recommend him and have done so. I have always felt that I was not in proportion, that I was too small on the top and too large on the bottom, and I went in and I have always wanted big breasts. I went in and it told Dr. Shapiro that, and I told him that I wanted to look exactly like the ones I had. I would most definitely recommend him to others, mostly, because he is a very, very, very skilled surgeon and he has a wonderful office staff. I had a Bilateral Mastopexy, High definition on the abs, arms, back, flanks, buttocks, lateral thigh and knees. I met with Dr. Shapiro and his staff and everyone was very helpful. He made me feel more comfortable. He eased my mind walking into the operating room and out. Everybody was like a big family. The nurses were fantastic. As a matter of fact, I think they even slept right in the bed next to me. It's been a year since my procedure and it's been great. I do a lot of fitness competing, and he did some sculpting of the abs and it just helped everything out a little better, it was just fantastic. Dr. Shapiro is down to earth and youthful. He is not bothered with listening with you. He is into you. He is involved and hearing what you have to say and what your concerns are, what scares you, what doesn't scare you. I had Cellulaze on I believe it was May 25th of 2012. I actually saw Dr. Shapiro on TV talking about the procedure and then I went to their website to get more information about it and I actually came to their office for a seminar. Dr. Shapiro was very inviting and made me feel very confident in his skills and the procedure and then also looking at the pictures of before and after and seeing myself in those pictures, I wanted the same sort of results, that's why I chose to book with Dr. Shapiro. I had Googled, different plastic surgeons in Arizona, and I just liked what people had to say about Dr. Shapiro. I looked his before and after pictures and I didn't have anyone say anything bad. Everybody rated him as one of the top one, so that was how I chose him. Then when I came in, I just liked what he had to say. You know, he was very knowledgeable to what I wanted and he didn’t push his input. It wasn't about what he wanted but rather what he thought I should do. We discussed it and I like that. I liked the consultation. It wasn't rushed. He took time with the consultation. I had another doctor that basically was in and out. The questions weren't answered. It just seemed like he wanted to get as many people in and out as he could. Dr. Shapiro doesn't do that. He took his time. The best part I guess is that I no longer have tension headaches. I used to have them every single day and it will go up into my face. Thanks to my revision Breast Augmentation, I don’t have to worry about this anymore. I think I've had one headache since the procedure. Also they are a good size. They're not small. They're still big enough to where it wasn't a drastic difference but they look natural. They don’t’ look phony and they fit my body. I left up to him to pick the size and they're perfect. He is great. more

I had Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty and Anterior Hairline Eyebrow Lift December 10th. A friend of mine where I live recommended Dr. Shapiro to me. I felt Dr. Shapiro saw my concerns and knew what I wanted, and he pointed out the Blepharoplasty alone would not give this result that I wanted, that he also needed to include the Eyebrow Lift, and I had thought that already when I looked at the pictures in the waiting room. They have this recovery center where I stayed one night instead of going home right away. The nurses took very good care of me. It was just very pleasant, they were very caring. I'm very happy with the results. Now my eyes are open and fresh. I look younger and I look rested. If anybody considers an Eyebrow Lift and they have a high forehead, don’t be scared of the Anterior Hairline procedure versus the Endoscopic Eyebrow Lift because he really achieved a better proportion. It's a very subtle thing but otherwise my forehead would have gotten even higher. more

The staff had all the information I needed and they were there for me when I made phone calls about anything.
