Great Place To Do Business 11/30/2010

I needed a new sewing machine and wanted a bit more options than my old one. I researched on line and decided this one sounded the best, so we went. I was so impressed with the knowledge on sewing machines and the recommendations given us. I was given a pretty detailed demonstration and was sold! I love my machine and am looking forward to going to get my free lessons. If you need a new sewing machine I highly recommend going here first and don't waste time running all over town! more

Great Place to Go Quilt & Sew 11/29/2010

This is a great place to shop, quilt and sew. Classes are excellent. Lynn is a great quilting teacher and Ken is extra generous to share his class room for the various sewing/quilting clubs. Everyone in the store is friendly and knowledgeable, eager to help. If they do not have it, they will get it for you. more

I have been a customer of the Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse for almost 17 years - I bought my first machine in 1993. 7 embroidery machines, 9 versions of embroidery software, 1 vacuum and 2 sergers! later, I am still a very satisfied customer. more

Perfect Place to Shop for Wife 11/29/2010

I surprised my wife with her first Brother Sewing & Embroidery machine from the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse in 1998. Now 4 machines, a serger and a vacuum later, I am still a very happy customer. We have had nothing but excellent customer service and fair prices. Plus my wife loves all the sewing and embroidery extras she finds at the store. We will continue to shop here and recommend it to our friends and neighbors. more

I really love the clubs and the classes that are offered. I have learned to be creative in 'sew' many areas, sewing, embroidery and quilting. All have been 'sew' helpful when it comes to the use of a computer, various programs and the embroidery machine Great people!!!! more

Houston's best Sewing Store 11/29/2010

I have been doing business with the Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse for many years. I have bought 4 machines from them and the service and helpfulness go far beyond my expectations. My Happy Embroidery Machine and my Brother Innovis are tops in my book. The folks in the store are always there to help and offer suggestions. They go over and beyond to make sure customers get the best prices and the best service. I would not go any where else to get a machine, vacuum or service. They are the best. more

Best Sewing Machine Store in Houston 11/29/2010

I have been using Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse for eleven years. I have always enjoyed being there and treated as a loyal customer. I have sent many friends here to buy machines and they are all happy with the service they received. Their Machine Clubs are great. I am at the Brother Club each month and it is always a fun, party type gathering. And we learn lots of new projects to do. Ken Carpenter has done so much for us sewing ladies, he is the best! I love coming to the Sewing Machine Warehouse. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. I have had several problems with my machine and they have fixed them. I wish I lived closer so that it wasn't so hard to get to. Thank you Ken and all your staff for a wonderful store! more

Best service and prices iin town 11/3/2010

I have shopped here and bought my sewing, serger and embroidery machines for the past 12 years. Have always been treated with great service, friendly salespersons. HOUSTON'S BEST SEWING AND VACUUM WAREHOUSE 10/19/2010

Have had great service from the warehouse. They have knowledgable staff who are courteous and work with you to keep your machines running in tip top condition. They work with you to find what you need to do your sewing and embroidery projects. The clubs for the machines are a great way to get to know your machine better and are so much fun to be a part of. Great teachers who know the machines and can show you how to get the max out of them. Highly recommend on levels. more

they threw away my sewing machine 5/20/2010

Thats right, they threw away my sewing machine. If you were thinking about going to Sewing and Vacuum warehouse on hwy. 249, you do not want to shop at this place. They do not give refunds and they do not post it or tell you about it before you purchase equipment even when your new purchase does not work properly and even when you speak with the manager and even when you come back or call back within the hour the same day of purchase. Read the whole story on my website.. I am a fair person and do not anger easily but I am reporting these folks to the better business bureau.. Normally a person goes into a business in good faith that they will receive a good product and that the company is not desperate for business like Sewing and vacuum warehouse in Houston is desperate for business, enough to do shady or underhanded business practices. I wrote a full detailed article about this on my website.. which is /sewing-and-vacuum-warehouse-on-state-highway-248-in-houston-threw-away-my-sweing-maching.html Fact: The new machine which was defective right out of the box, still will not sew the thin fabric and keeps breaking the thread. Fact: the sales lady in the store said that brand of machine had been having problems and she jammed it with a screwdriver to try to fix it.. .Fact: I called within the first hour after my cash purchase to get my Kenmore sewing machine back, but they claim they evaluated it , threw it in the dumpster, and the dumpster was emptied all within an hour of me calling them back to ask for the machine back but they did not tell me this when I called. Fact: My machine was thrown away even when I told them I was coming to get it. Fact: they refuse to give me a refund when they sold me a bad machine and they refuse to return my old machine which they claim they threw away. Customers only want to be treated fairly and with honesty and integrity and this store fails in every category. Do not buy a sewing machine or vacuum from Sewing Machine warehouse Pros: the one sales lady tried to be helpful Cons: unfair and shady business practices more
