I had a very disappointing experience at Schmelz Countryside VW. I used their internal finance department and was charged a higher rate than the credit union that they brokered the loan through. They said they were using Postal Credit Union, but charged me a higher rate than what Postal Credit Union charges on their website. This had nothing to do with my credit score which is 800. What they did is immoral and should be illegal. more

The day before my appointment I received a courtesy email telling me to contact the dealership if I had any questions. I replied within about 30 minutes asking whether I would need a rental for my bulb replacement. I didn't receive a call until 5 hours later asking me to call within the next hour before the service department closed. I would have appreciated the call sooner so I could have adjusted the appointment during business hours. I didn't use the rental and I left a voice message so hopefully everyone that needed to know was made aware. more

Received very good service 7/29/2011

I have received very good service at Schmelz Countryside when I have brought my vehicle in, and I Thank You. Recently, however, I have encountered service prices which have been out of my range for the service needed. I understand your need to charge these prices, however, I cannot justify them on the age of my vehicle. more

Working fine 7/26/2011

New vehicle was taken in at approximately 3000 total miles for initial inspection after I had been driving it 3 months. Vehicle was working OK when taken in, is working fine in the two weeks since it was taken in. more

Best service you could ask for! 7/22/2011

I called first thing on Monday morning with a very significant problem with my vehicle. Lisa was very understanding of my situation and was very helpful in trying to get me in on very short notice. She explained they were booked with appointments until Wednesday, but said to bring the car in and they would work hard to fit me in. When I got there Jon Raye met me and checked the car right away, diagnosed the problem and by noon the car was fixed and ready to pick up. You just can't ask for better service than that! Enjoying working with all the people 7/20/2011

Like anyone would agree, labor charges are a killer. I am now handing over this car to my young son so that he has a reliable car but just the labor charges alone were $450, something he can't even comprehend at his age! ;) The car was in for front brakes and they discovered something with the wheel bearing and they say they combined the labor but I guess I myself can't understand $450 labor charges when you're doing two things in the same place. I enjoy working with all of the sales people, I am always treated very well. more
