I went to Salon Dacota because I wanted to try something different. I read the reviews online and decided to give it a try. I had such a great experience and I can't wait to go back! ha! I have recommended this salon to many of my friends. Erica was the stylist that did my hair and she did such a great job! more

super hair cut 4/6/2011

Needed to find a new hair salon after having hair cut wrong too many times, finally got the great looking layers that I have wanted, very happy, I will be going back again. Loved the inside of the salon too, so relaxing. more

Salon Dacota 4/4/2011

this was my first visit to Salon Dacota. I was impressed with the atmosphere.\r \r I loved my stylist Lauren. She created a beautiful shape to my hair which I had been looking for for quite a while. I was also pleased that I can get an appointment without having to wait for a month. I am looking forward to my next visit to the shop. more

Love Lauren 4/4/2011

I've been looking for a good stylist for about a year now, after my previous stylist and a dear friend passed away. I found Salon Dacota online and called on a Saturday morning, expecting that I'd probably have to wait until next week for an appointment. To my delight they were able to see me in the early afternoon and my stylst, Lauren, was just the sweetest girl ever. She LISTENED, a skill which I found is hard to come by in my year- long search .I love my new style and look forward to going back there again. My search is over. Thank you, Lauren! more

What a RELIEF!! 3/31/2011

We moved to the St. Louis area about a year ago, and I dearly miss my former stylist. A friend recommended that I try Derrick @ Salon Dacota. He is simply amazing!! I could feel my frustration level drain away as the new and improved ""me"" emerged in the mirror. He took the time to understand what I was looking for, made a few suggestions and within an hour, I was on my way, feeling GREAT!! Thank you, Derrick - I'll be back! more

Great Stylist 3/30/2011

I needed a new stylist and I'm glad I went to Salon Dacota and chose Derrick, based on what I'd read on Citysearch. He is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable right away. He listened, made some recomendations and I walked out of there with the hair cut I'd hoped for. He did a great job! more

Salon Dacota on Ballwin, MO 3/28/2011

I made an appointment for Salon Dacota online a week in advance and arrived to my appointment 15 min early. I actually had stopped coming since they charged my mother to color her hair ""by how much hair she had"" . since I had $30 in credits I decided to get my hair cut one last time. My appointment was at 11 but I was not seen until noon. I find this unacceptable and will not be returning no matter how many credits I may have, it wasn't worth it. I am writing this review to let others know that if you are getting your hair cut here clear your schedule for the day. Thanks. more

Wonderful Salon Experience 3/27/2011

My experience at Salon Dacota was more than I could have asked for. When I walked in Amanda greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile. Bobbi took a few minutes to evaluate my hair - the texture, health and cut. I was invited to a parafin wax treatment for my hands and a scalp massage during my shampoo. My hair cut turned out wonderfully. I am so happy I stumbled upon this salon! more

The salon was warm, inviting and there were smiles on everyone's faces! This was my first visit, after trying 3 other Salons and 5 other stylists in St. Louis. Great Haircut and wonderful stylist! 3/20/2011

I recently tried Salon Dacota and was very happy that I did! I was looking for a stylist that could give me a great haircut and understood the look I was going for with my fine but thick hair. My stylist worked with me for at least 2 hours, first talking about the look and then creating the cut all in a relaxed atomosphere that was not rushed. The shampoo massage was wonderful too and I really liked the Euphoria oil. My stylist was great both with skills and his manner; you could tell that he really wanted to achieve an outstanding cut for me. I plan to return very soon for my second cut ! Kathy more

I just recently tried Salon Dacota for the first time. I had the best experience. They know how to pamper you from the moment you walk in till you leave. My stylist listened intently and commented about the style I was going for. He was very knowledgeable about the products he used. I never felt like I was just another customer. I had my first visit with Salon Dacota and was highly impressed with the salon in every way! I love their theme - the fun photos of the staff. The professional, calming, clean atmosphere. I went in for a completely new hair style - and my stylist spend almost 2 hours with me - from discussing my ideas, inquiring about what I did not want - and ending up with giving my a fabulous new hairstyle! I have found a new salon! more

hair color 3/6/2011

I was very happy with the color that my stylist and I were able to figure out even though it was my first time there and I was somewhat undecided with what I wanted. She helped figure out exactly what I wanted. I also like their products which aren't as harsh on your hair and contain more natural ingredients to prolong the color. more

Just what I wanted - awesome! 3/2/2011

I was there over a month ago but still get daily compliments on my hair. Chrissy did an awesome job! I had long hair and decided to cut it very short; she made it perfect. Before everything, she listened to what I wanted, then told me her professional opinion, which was very helpful. She took her time to make every little detail perfect. I looked around meanwhile and all the other stylists were very nice to their costumers, and made great cuts. It was very cool to see some of these transformations! Next couple days at work everybody talked about my hair, I loved it:-) I definitely recommend this place. And check out the bathroom, it is awesome:-))) more

Great Service! 2/27/2011

I moved to St. Louis a little over a year ago and have tried numerous stylists in the area. I have found good stylists but not one I was completely impressed with until I went to Erica at Salon Dacota. My experience with the salon started off on a very good note. I loved that I was able to make my appointment online, I don't understand why more salons don't do this! I arrived at the salon and the front desk was very friendly. Erica was very professional and friendly. She took the time to understand what I was looking for in a haircut and she wasn't afraid to make suggestions based on what I was looking for, I love this in a stylist. My haircut went wonderfully and I love my new style! I also discussed with her about color options, in fact I am going back in a couple of days to get my hair colored. Not only did she do a great job cutting my hair, I had one of the best shampoo's I have had in a long time, it was very relaxing! Erica also took the time to explain the products she was using on my hair and let me know what they were good for without being pushy by trying to get me to purchase them. Not only did I leave the salon with a great new haircut I also received a first time client discount. I was not aware of this discount however I received it anyway, what a great bonus! To add to the wonderful service provided by the salon I received a thank you card in the mail. Salon Dacota not only provided me with a great stylists, they also have wonderful customer service....something that is not easy to come by these days! more

WONDERFUL! 2/21/2011

I saw Lauren at Salon Dacota this weekend and I have not been happier with my cut and color in months! My previous stylist relocated and I have been salon-hopping for about 8 months. I finally found the perfect salon in West County. Lauren took her time and listened- which led to the perfect cut and color. I was also impressed with the decor and feel of the salon. No flourescent lights and old lady dryers. All of the stylists looked great- which is important when you are trusting them with your hair!\r more
