Awesome care 8/22/2011

I will never take my dog anywhere else. I have been to some awful places before, and this place is SUCH a relief. I leave Zenga with them, and leave stress free. I don't have to spend my vacations worried about my baby girl anymore!!! more

Fantastic Service 8/17/2011

I use the daycare service Monday-Friday and my dog just loves it. She gets to play with her pals all day long in a great house setting. She is shuttled in and back home again so I don't even have to think about it. It is just taken care of. I simply love it. On nights I work late, they give her dinner and her pill before bringing her home. It is a fantastic service. more

I can not say enough about Safe Journey. My dog had to stay there while I went on a business trip and he loved it. They always have great offers through their website. I know that I can always trust them with my dog. Thank you so much for making him feel so welcome. more

No Crates 8/11/2011

I had to leave town for a few days and I did not know where I should take my dog to be boarded, since I have never left him before. I heard about Safe Journey Dog Boarding from a friend I was leaving town with. When we were leaving town, we dropped off our dogs and I am so happy. They don't have any of the dogs in crates, I love that they are able to roam around. more

The names says it all! You know that if you leave your dog here they will be safe and well cared for. The staff is just fabulous and the facilities are immaculate. I love it here and so does my dog! more

Consistantly the best! 7/25/2011

I've been going to Safe Journey for a long time now and I love it. More importantly my dog loves it! When I pick her up she's always happy and stress free. I never have to worry about her while I'm away. Best of all, they are super flexible with my work schedule, which involves a lot of travel and last minute changes. I've tried a lot of the other boarding options in Portland with mixed results. Safe journey has consistently been the best. Five stars!!! more

SAFE and Sound 6/14/2011

Safe Journey is the only place for my dog. Craig takes care of her ""special needs"" and keeps me posted on how she is doing. It's a calm and small place (not too crowded) and I know my dog receives the attention and love she needs. more

    Serving our local community's need for top of the line crate-free boarding, Safe Journey is the best in the business when it comes to caring for animals, people and the Earth. It's crucial to our vision to be compassionate not just to pets, but to humans and our environment, as well. That's why we operate with social and economic justice and environmental sustainability in mind at all times.


    How it works:


    You make a reservation to bring your dog to us during check-in hours. Your pet spends the day and night at our comfortable Victorian home, with us and other dogs. For your dog's protection, our home is climate-controlled and our yard is pesticide-free. We care for an average of 5 dogs during the week and average of 9 dogs on weekends. During the Holidays we care for 15-19 dogs.


    While in our home, your pet enjoys frequent contact with care providers, petting, play time, and more. We follow all your instructions regarding your pet's feeding, medications and appropriate behavior. Dogs are free to roam 1400 square feet of space. Outdoors they can bask in the sun on our back deck and play in our fully secure and fenced yard.


    We are a family business and incorporate our lives into our work. This means we sometimes have to safely arrange the pets while we run to the post office, to the grocery store and other errands. All dogs need to be family raised dogs that get along great with people and other dogs.
