My Wife Becky found Royal Roofing & a few others on a Google Search but Royal Roofing stood out from the Pack as; Steve Pinkus from Royal called Becky from my eMail Bid request within 1hr. The 2nd Roofer called the 2nd day & 3rd Roofer called that Friday (4-days later so I guess the others have bigger Clients or don't need my business...so red ck just to set the Inspection). *It was important for us to select a "REAL" Roofing Contractor vs just a "Joe, Mike or Jesus Roof "guy" to give a low price but there's No Company or Insurance Protection behind that. My Wife & I have heard horror stories of an accident "leaving a wounded Roofer who fell off the roof & the rest of the gang just ran to their cars & drove away... +their Boost Mobile # is disconnected the next day (hour!!) as VERY SCAREY to have our House, Assets/Savings on the line then a Roofer slips or he gets burned with tar (we have a Flat Roof). There's ALOT of Liability & we neeeed to be Protected bottom line. *STEVE @Royal Roofing very passionately showed me Royal's Credentials then many, many photos on his iPad of my Roof's issues + similar jobs like ours from the stripping to how Steve's Roofer's clean up/hose down. (Wifey's Garden is very important & Steve talked about Royal's many precautions re; Safety, Garage/Attics & our Garden & how his Crew would protect all (b4 we even asked about it), *Steve's entire Presentation was Educational & actually VERY motivating as Steve's enthusiasm yet concern just couldn't be more genuine so well done Steve. WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE, what about the almighty price?? Yet Royal's the #1 pick but if they're price is out of line, then all for not...NOPE, STEVE AGAIN CAME THRU with a higher price but when we compared what was missing/open ended from the others, we easily SAW VALUE thus a VERY FAIR Price considering the RELIABILITY/COMPANY LICENSE AGE & CREDENTIALS (actually made Steve's Price a BARGAIN as we know Royal's roof will last the longest their Guarantee was 1/3-50% longer then the others depending on which option). The SECURITY OF THIER EXPERIENCE & STEVE'S SOCIAL MEDIA Conscientiousness (& sooo many REFERRALS) gave us the Confidence we needed to select Steve & Royal Roofing WHAT ABOUT THE CREW; Can Steve's Crew keep up with Steve?? They DID & WOW, you want to see precision Teamwork & NO goof off guys + the nicest of Politeness, ask for CARLOS to do your Job. We never met a Foreman/Worker of any Trade more PROUD than Carlos and Bless him for that; Carlos intro'd himself every morn/night + he explained what he would do or what he finished that day + he took ALOT of Photos to show us the bad wood so we felt secure that the work was needed, that it was not a bogus add on...Gosh, where can you find that integrity today, especially in Construction where it's an Industry stereotyped for cheating & excessive Change Orders. OVERALL EXPERIENCE 1-10; "a 12" many a 12.5 !! Steve called one of us "each day" until the job was done, several mornings Carlos came w/Photos of the day prior & explained ea...We just felt we got a Better Deal then we bargained for as we never met these folks...gosh, what do they do for Accounts!! While re-doing the roof in our 4 unit building, there was a horrible leak in my bedroom that resulted in the ceiling needing to be ripped out and re done to fix the water damage. We couldn't live at home and it was a disaster. When we approached the company about what had happened, the owner insisted we should continue with the roof work and he would pay for all the construction needed to repair our unit. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a lie, as several hours later he went back on his promise and said it would be our responsibility even though a) he had promised and b) the roof wasn't sealed properly by his company and allowed rain water to get in. He continued to insist it wasn't his responsibility even though he had promised to pay for the repairs. I felt the owner's dishonesty and arrogance shown through in the way he spoke to me and through a series of following events my instincts were correct as he tried to manipulate the company we hired to repair the ceiling into saying the water damage was old-but the company we hired stated to us in person and in writing that it was all new. I would not hire this company- I do not believe them to be honest or trustworthy. more

My Wife & I actually LEARNED quite a lot from our conversation with Royal Roofing's Representative STEVE PINKUS (I think he's the Owner per his card but he never bragged). Steve was Educational, Caring & VERY Patient as time didn't seem to matter to Steve as he never once looked at his watch or said he had to go to see his next...(that was very Important as he was the most Sincere of four Bids. Steve reviewed several options of "Good, Better & Best" with WHY Invest in a Better Roof System not just better Shingles and had my Wife & I "Sold on the Spot" but he NEVER PRESSURED US TO SIGN at all, My Wife said "No other Rep. or Co. compares to Steve & Royal Roofing" so let's give him the job now while he's here...and we were off & running on their Schedule... A couple days later STEVE called personally to tell me the Permit was in hand so ready to Schedule & what Monday did we prefer...What impressed us after signing was that Steve didn't dis-appear (for Selling us then Production Dept. takes over so the Salesman can keep on closing people...NOT with Steve/Royal). YOUR CREW headed by JOSE Bravo, his Dad Jose Sr., his three younger Brothers; Santiago Francisco & Johnny... WOW, what a Family of Experts!! just couldn't have been better. *We were in awe of their Crew DEDICATION, TEAMWORK & CLEAN UP even in the 90-95 Degree temps that week. Jose said his temperature gauge "roof top" showed 156 degrees then late afternoon each day, Sweeping up + a Power Blower machine & they even Hosed down (we expected one method but got all three...THANKS Jose & THANKS STEVE & also Liz/Laura in their Office, couldn't be more pleasant & respectful about our calls as our Home is our Pride & Joy so Bless You All for your Service.. more

I recently had a 7 layer classic and durable 'hot mop' put on a 9000 sf flat roof commercial building. I wanted the investment to last and perform well over a long period of time. It can be tempting to buy a cheaper roof but the saying in the roofing industry is that if you buy a cheap roof (that's made with inferior materials) you will pay to replace it again long before a quality 'hot mop' will need replacement. Royal Roofing took on what looked like the relatively simple job of replacing a 28,000 sq. Ft. foam roof, four stories up, with the job of first removing the foam which had been applied directly to the plywood, necessitating replacement of 75 of the 4 X 8 sheets. Then a false roof had to be built over 80 of the area to add pitch to a roof which had negative pitch toward the center. Forty eight air conditioners had to be moved up to five times each during the re-roof. The Foreman's experience, and his calm demeanor regardless of the situations' encountered, kept the job moving, regardless of the obstacles. Such as our finding that the concrete tile mansard roof across over one hundred feet of the buildings front width was pitching forward due to over 12,000 pounds of tile weight, and poor original construction. With ingenuity, some come-a-long's, chains and then some permanent steel legs, the roof was righted and will stay that way for the life of the building. The quality of the 4ply #72 lb. cap sheet California Title 24 compliant roof we received is top notch, as was the quality of your people and company. It was a pleasure working with you. I just had Royal Roofing do a major re-roof to a large section of our Sunkist Growers World Wide Corporate Headquarters in Sherman Oaks, Ca. It was a very difficult job, done during the heat of the summer, and I could not have been more pleased with the results. President Steve Pinkus delivered on every single item in the contract (and more) and I feel his crew, especially his foreman Ramon, went way out of their way to keep the job site clean, safe, and as "un-noticable" as possible. Ramon and his crew were on time everyday, willing to work long hours and weekends to accomodate our work schedule, and had newer trucks and equipment. All the roofers were in uniform everyday and were always very courteous to my staff and all the Sunkist employees they came in contact with during the job. The tear off itself was more difficult than anticipated by Steve, but he did not complain, or throw a bunch of extras my way. I have been in the Facilities Management business long enough to know some, if not most roofing contractors would have stopped the job midway and would have started throwing "change orders" at me like baseballs. Not Steve. Somehow, he and Ramon got their guys to work even harder, and they took care of business as stated in the contract. No whining, no moaning, no cutting corners. I feel Steve, Ramon and crew went way beyond what was asked, especially paying attention to the "little things". After watching Ramon and his guys work under the scorching sun for almost a month, I could tell that everyone of them took pride in their work. The crews workmanship and professionalism was oustanding and all treated my roof as if it was their own. When I had my final walk through with Ramon, I could tell he was extremely proud of the job he and his guys had just completed and I could not agree more. We have apartment buildings that had really bad roof problems. I needed someone to come out right away and Steve from Royal Roofing said he would and he did, so he kept his word. He got started right away. We've used them before on another building, and they did a good job then too. I'd absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anybody! more
