We called Roto-Rooter when our kitchen sink clogged because they are a national brand and well- this is what they do- clear drains. Silvano- the field manager came out- he was within the supplied time window and called ahead of time to say he was on his way. He was SUPER nice and personable. My jaw dropped at the cost of the service though- I told Silvano it was just too much- he told me he would work with us on the price and that they won't charge for the visit and come back again if we don't figure out how to clear it ourselves. Super sweet guy. Needless to say- we couldn't clear it ourselves- we called them again and they came back same day!!! Again- they called ahead. This time Jeff came. He got the job done in less than 45 mins. They have a 6 month guarantee which is awesome! \r I only gave it 4 stars because the cost was astronomical. I would have given it 3 stars because the cost but Silvano was so awesome, he kind of made up for it a bit.\r \r Plainfield, IL more

I called Roto-Rooter on Saturday morning. A previous plumber could not clear my main sewer line and I needed a second opinion. A very experienced technician came out and fairly quickly determined I had a collapsed pipe. The previous plumber suggested doing a water jet. That would have been a waste of time and money, so Roto-Rooter saved me a bunch! more

RotoRooter was very responsive, they came out to our house on Superbowl Sunday after a call to them late Sat. night. Technician, Danny arrived at our house within the designated time even though there was a blizzard occurring (5th largest in Chicago history). He was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous and diagnosed what was to become a major plumbing problem. Field supervisor, Eddie came to our house later and explained the problem and proposed solution very adequately. I called Roto rooter this morn because my bathtub would not drain. The technician, Bill and his associate were here in the time slot specified, diagnosed and solved the problem (which was a pipe partially frozen and clogged) and had it completely fixed in a short time. I always call roto rooter with any plumbing problems because they get the job done, and they are very professional and have ""no bull"" attitudes. They come in , diagnose the problem, explain what's going on, answer any questions, do the work right and leave. End of discussion. Todays technician was Bill 2986. They are good at handling ""distraught"" customers. I have used other plumbing services in the past and believe me some of them are real IDIOTS. I am so glad there's Roto Rooter to fall back on. more

We are located in Geneva, IL and had a busted garbage disposal late last night. Called Roto-Rooter at 8am the next morning and they were at my house with a new garbage disposal, installed and done before lunch. Pat was our technician and he was very friendly, explained everything, and even gave a discount off the list price to help out since it was so close to the holidays. This is the 2nd time we've used Roto-Rooter and were pleased both times with their professionalism and timeliness. more

They were scheduled to come from 9am-11am on the day we scheduled but they didn't end up coming until the next day. Once they were here they did good work and thought they fixed the problem but it ended up being a different issue. They come out the very next day and fixed the new issue for free. 4/5 would use again. more

Scheduled Roto-Rooter service man showed up exactly as scheduled. He was courteous and informative. He fixed the problem with the toilets' wax ring seal and was finished in no time at all. The fixed charge seemed a bit high for the time it took but it turned out to be an easy repair. If it turned out to be more complicated and taken more time, like it did when you came out last year to clear my sewer line it may have turned into a “deal”. Overall I was very happy with your service and would use you again. – Ron B more

We called roto-rooter on a Saturday night when we discovered our basement drain filling up with water in Kenosha, WI. They scheduled a tech to come the very next morning for a free assessment of the problem. The day of, they were running behind and called us to keep us updated. They were very friendly and took care of the problem within 30 minutes. I would recommend roto-rooter to anyone! more

I called Roto-Rooter and they were ready to come to my home the same day. The service man was friendly and helpful and very professional. He was able to clear the pipes and made sure he had everything covered up while doing his job. The service was quick and relatively inexpensive. I would recommend this company to anyone with plumbing problems. more

My husband's house in Racine, WI which is rented by his son and family had no sewage drainage last weekend which meant the family could use no water or bathroom facilities. After attempts to clear the line with no success they made an appointment with Roto-Rooter for Monday morning. Danny 2153 provided the service and was awesome. He was able to fix the problem. He was knowledgeable and professional. The charge was less than a competitor in our area. Thank you for a job well done!\r more

Scheduled Roto-Rooter to come out via online. Got a call in an hour and got a 2 hour time window. Tech arrived on time to Elgin, IL. Fixed my clogged sink and told me how to prevent it in the future. They were expensive, but came out the same day. more

This was my first quick and painless home repair ever! I noticed that my outside faucet burst over the winter when I tried to use my garden hose. It was leaking into my finished basement. I looked online on Saturday for a plumber and could not find one near me. I decided to try Roto Rooter just to see what they would charge. The call center said the earliest they had was Sunday between 8am and 11am. I asked if there was an extra charge for a Sunday and was told no. On Sunday the plumber was delayed and I did receive a from the call center to let me know this. She stated she would call again when he was about a half hour away. And she did just that. The plumber looked at my problem, gave me a list price for the repair and I asked when he would be back out. He laughed and said, oh I can do that repair right now. I said awesome and lets do it. An hour later he was done and everything worked great. I was given a 1 year warranty on the repair. The price was a little higher then I expected, but in the end I was satisfied because it was repaired less than 24 hours from when I noticed it and I di not have to wait for another day to get the work done. I would use this service again, but I hope I do not make the same mistake again with my garden hose and winter in Chicago. LOL more

I work for Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and yesterday we were faced with a serious clog in one of our pipes. We needed a plumber, and FAST! We called Roto-Rooter, and they had a plumber at our location -- on a Friday evening, no less -- in no time! Service was lightning fast, our problem was solved in under an hour, and our technician was courteous, polite, and very friendly. Five stars! more

My technician, Tim, got everything cleaned out quickly, explained the issue, possible long term solutions and cleaned up when he was done. The price was very fair and the service was excellent. We called on Friday late afternoon with drainage problems. They said they would be there Saturday between 9 & noon, he was there at 9am. He thanked us for calling them again, they had helped us14 years earlier. After only 1 hour, he snaked his way 120 feet and 3 areas of tree root later, he was finished. Everything fixed, cleaned up, and back to normal. Great job and next time we will definitely call Roto-Rooter again. Thank you from Valparaiso, IN. more
