On a Sunday after NEW YEARS my main sewer line is clogged. My son said call Roto-Rooters they are the professional plumbers in the Pittsburgh area with a good reputation. I called and they said someone will call me within two hours and let me know when they are 30 minutes away. They called in 35 minutes and were here in 20 minutes. John was very polite and tried to fix the clog with the snake in my sewer. He said if they could not fix it there would not be a charge. Well I do have bigger problems that it could not be snaked and he kept his word he did not charge me. He is sending his supervisor tomorrow with the camera to see what they can do for me. He knew I am worried and he assured me that his supervisor will discuss options with me of their High tech ways that they can help me. Very polite and they know people are worried and they try to help. I will give you an update tomorrow. But I give them 5 stars! more

Roto-Rooter For Christmas 12/26/2010

I guess when Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve, we didn't think we had to wish for a plumber to come unclogged our game room's drain. Roto-Rooter came to our house within 2 hours of contacting them and were able to do the job in less than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, we had some damage since the kid's Christmas Tree with presents were still downstairs. The rep for Roto-Rooter acted very fast and did the job 100% effectively. Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy the rest of our holidays without the worries of more damage to our finish Game Room. Thanks a million Roto-Rooter. Who says there are no miracles that happen on Christmas. more

what a weekend 11/30/2010

I had been working on my drain all weekend when I finally gave in to calling a plumber. I had been looking thru the green sheet when I remembered that I had a number on my cork board. Which was the old rotor-rooter guys coupon from 2006. So I figured why not call who I know in stand of taking a chance on someone new. I am very pleased with the proformance of the rotor-rooter technician named BEN IFFT. He not only fixed the problem but providing additional information to keep me from having the problem again. roto-rooters plumbers 11-23-2010 11/29/2010

It was two days before Thanksgiving and I was in the process of getting the house in order and starting to prepare for the Holiday gathering and dinner. My husband noticed a smell in our basement and he discovered a back-up in the main drain in our garage. He was leaving on business and could not be around to take of the problem. I called for a plumber at roto-rooter in pittsburgh and they told me someone could be out in 2 hours to fix the problem. Initially, i thought it would take several days to have asomeone come out and that would have ruined our Thanksgiving Day plans. Their plunber called and showed up within 2 hours and the problem was fixed withing 45 minutes. The main sere was cleared and the problem was solved. I could get back to my holiday preperations with no worries. Thanks roto-rooter for savings my holiday plans an dresponding in a quick and professional manner. more

clogged main sewer line 11/17/2010

We had water and sewage backing up through our laundry and garage drain. The next day Roto-Rooter came and snaked the line but could not clear it. Within a few hours another employee came to ""jet"" the line. This cleared the line. They are now helping to determine why the clog occurred and have given estimates to fix the line. more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 10/31/10 11/1/2010

I was attempting to deal with a clog in our bathroom sink for several weekends with no luck. After this past attempt we decided to give Roto-Rooter a call. The main reason for choosing Roto-Rooter (after looking through the Pittsburgh Yellow Pages) was due to the fact that they didn't charge extra for weekend calls. It was Halloween night (as well as several hours before the start of the Steelers' game!) and we had a plumber at the house within an hour. Justin took his time and explained the process to me and corrected the problem. Justin also took his time to reattached all of the plumbing to make sure there wasn't any drips. more

Whole House Water Filter Installation 9/7/2010

We recently purchased a whole house water filter system from the internet. The manufacturer indicated it would take a plumber 2 hours to install. My original request was for a plumber between 10 and noon on a Saturday. Roto-Rooter started contacting me at 7:30 am in the morning to confirm my appointment and update the estimated time of arrival. more

On August 9, 2110. I Called roto-rooter about our plumbing problem, there where here within the hour. They told us what the problem was and how much it would cost to do the job. they were able to start the job within 3 hrs. The 3 days they were here the temp. was 90. The guys that were here explained what they were doing as they did the job. GREAT JOB GUYS. We told a lot of our friends and businesses that we clean about the service they give. Thank-You more
