Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

We had a back up in our drains and called Roto-Rooter and they were at our home in Windsor Ct. within one hour. The service man Steve Fecteau (451) was very professional. He explained the problem, the solution and the cost before starting. He quickly fixed the problem and cleaned any mess. He also explained how the service was warrantied and simple maintenance that we could preform to keep the problem from coming back. We would definitely Recommend this company. more

Best of the Best! These guys came out within a few hours. Snaked a scope down the pipe, showed me the problem. Decided to replace the sewer line (very old clay pipes). They did it the NEXT day. The driver of the excavator was like a ballet dancer in that machine. We had a few problems with damage to the drainage from our gutters but they fixed it. The guys who came our were professional, polite, and friendly. I think I might have paid a little more but to have such great customer service and done in a day was worth it. These people truly believe in customer service. more

My water heater failed on Thanksgiving morning. Purchased water heater at Home Depot next morning, then decided to call Roto-Rooter to install same day. The plumber came by and quickly began working on the problem. Eddie was his name. He was very percise and meticulous about his work, which was a great relief to me. Needed a plumber on the weekend for a leaky kitchen sink. Roto-Rooter couldn't get someone there right away but they did keep calling to update me on the technician's availabiliuty & status. The tech from Hartford, Eddie Ruiz, was great. Fixed the problem right away. more

Sunday 9/25/11: Clogged shower drain, and after 2 bottles of Draino and so much plunging I have blisters, I called Roto-Rooter. Eddie Ruiz showed up and was one of the nicest people I have met in a long time. (I was going to call the local plumber, and decided he fixed the last problem, and explained NOTHING to me, not to mention he was not friendly).\r Eddie was thorough, and did not make me feel like I was stupid! We both laughed when he found a plastic bag jammed into the drain, and explained the previous owner tiled in the shower area and must have put the bag in the drain to protect it. Obviously it was too much effort to actually throw the bag away so it was jammed into the drain instead. \r I will definitely use Roto-Rooter again, and hope that Eddie the plumber from Hartford comes out again! We called Roto-Rooter in regards to our basement leaking from a toilet being clogged. Eddie arrived promptly at 2:00, which was within a half an hour from calling to set up service. Eddie was very thorough and made sure that the pipes were cleared. He actually taught us a thing or two about pipes and toilets. I called Roto-Rooter for a plumber in the Hartford area with a drainage problem and as told that someone would be at my house in one hour. True to their word Eddie showed up at my front door within 45 minutes. He assessed the problem, told me what it would cost and assured me he would be done within two hours. True to his word Eddie found the problem, showed me what it was and proceeded to complete the job in under two hours. I was given a window from 9-11 am. At almost 11 am, I was informed my local roto rooter plumber was not available so they would send one from Hartford CT. Eddie Ruiz came to my home and my clogged sewer drain was fixed in no time. Quick, knowledgeable and professional. Great experience, and I'd highly recommend them. My appointment was cancelled and rescheduled, because the Roto Rooter plumber, schedule for me was delayed at his present job assignment. However Roto Rooter immediately found a Hartford Roto Rooter plumber to come to New haven to assess the problem. That plumber was on time the next morning to tackle the job I requested. He was friendly and quite knowledgeable about his trade. He not only accomplished fulfilling the task at hand, but more than once found other devastating problems within the existing pipes. He show me how bad the pipes were clogged up with old grease accumulated through out the years and also suggested that I get the a pipe jet flush. He schedule for me a pipe jet flush cleaner for Friday morning, who also arrive and did the work efficiently. He formulated another work order on the spot and gave me the exact cost of the repair work he additionally found and tackled it without any complaints even as much as he had communicated with me that he had a wine tasting to go to with his wife after the job was finished. When he finished all the work he clean up what he could at the time and said he would come back the next morning which was his day off, to pickup the rest of the payment for the newly found problems, giving time to go to the bank and make a bank check for him. Well on his day off he arrived early Friday morning, to pick up the check and finish removing the old left over pipes. However as he was doing that he noticed that there was quite of bit of water coming from between the pipes he had installed and from the first floor. Lord and behold unaware there was another pipe inside the wall of the first floor apartment that had cracked from old age as he had removed and install the new ones. Mind you that this was this plumber's day off. He went to right to work on it immediately without complaining and was there for over five hours as he had to break into the corner partition of the first floor apartment and second floor apartment to access and repair the existing damage pipe. It was not easy, but to say the least, he not only did the work, but beyond that he made sure that all my first floor and second floor kitchen sink connections to the drain pipe were properly installed and made it so. This is plumber Tech #7206 is a worker that deserves great merit. Like him there are few these days. Although the tech was thorough and professional we were disappointed the arrival time was 12:30 to 1pm and he did not arrive until 2:30pm. Other than the time problem he did a very good job. more

I called Roto-Rooter at 9:30pm in desperate need of help. My toilet was over flowing into my basement. They came within an hour. Eddie was professional and reassuring that the problem would be fixed and my bathroom would be up and running soon. He staying with me for 3 hours, working on the problem. And yes, my bathroom was up and running for me and my guests. In the end, the cost was fair and well worth the peace of mind and a working bathroom! My experience with my Hartford plumber was a 5 star experience. I needed a plumber at 9 at night and I had one within the hour. He was friendly and informative.
