My sink was draining into my washing machine and I was praying it wasn't a problem with the drywell. I called Roto-Rooter and they were very flexible with scheduling around my work hours. The plumber came out and unclogged the pipes and flushed out the system. I didn't realize how bad it was. My sink drains quicker than ever! The plumber was very professional and did a great job. I highly recommend them for any plumbing problems. (Shelton, CT) more

Called Roto Rooter (New Haven) on Saturday to fix a very slow moving drain. They sent a tech on Sunday as they did not have a plumber available at the time. The tech was extremely nice but was unable to clear the drain. First thing Monday morning, a plumber came and when he was unable to clear it, he arranged for one of the plumbers that had previously been able to clear the problem. Neil #6435 came and did as great a job as he had done a couple of years before. There was no charge for earlier visits. So very pleased with their response and the professionalism of the staff (especially Neil!) Would definitely use them again!\r \r Carolyn G. more

ROTO ROOTER PLUMBERS\r \r Yesterday, 20 May 2014, Penney responded to a call for a blocked basement drain. She arrived within an hour of the call and went straight to work. Opened the main drain and found that to be clear. Opened the secondary drain and snaked the pipes over 70 feet to the street - twice! Found the problem and continued to flush the pipes. Once they were running clear she used a video inspection to insure all blockage was cleared.\r \r Penney was fantastic and compassionate.\r \r Would use Roto Rooter again and hope that Penney would be the technician.\r \r She is a credit to the company and the franchise.\r \r Roy & Barbara O\r . more

Roto-Rooter, Stratford, Ct. 06615. On March 15, 2014 , we had our sewer plugged and suddenly water and sewage began flooding our entire basement. We were so devastated and unsure of what we should do first. We called Roto-Rooter in Stratford for help and they were here in 30 minutes. They still had my name in the computer since 1999 as a customer! They are so caring toward their customers as well as the needs of each other. It was amazing to watch how well run each dept. was. It was such a confusing time for us and they simplified every detail, getting our permission every step of the way and expediting the help that was needed so that it was immediately cleaned up as fast as possible with detailed explanation s of what is to be expected next. We could never have survived this experience without them! Thanks to all who helped, especially Jim Nefferdorf, Jose Reyes, Tech #2311; Will Rotkauskas, Restoration Manager; Peter Czymr, Excavation Manager , and Dave and Dave Excavation Team Members. Special thanks to Michael Bamaly for Financial Assistance and special thanks to the wonderful cleaning crew who readily removed all our contaminated items and made sure the yard was spotless too! Roto-Rooter was great 5/25/2012

All of a sudden my toilet wouln't flush and it made a weird hissing sound. I called Roto-Rooter and Jon #35-417 was there within 20 minutes. He fixed the problem, was kind about how old and crusty the fixture and pipes were. He finished the job quickly, and I was able to get to a meeting on time (that I was actually hoping I might have been able to miss). I will certainly call Roto-Rooter again. I had a clogged pipe in the basement that was my kitchen sink flowed into. It was backing up into an old pipe that had been used for a washing machine and overflowing on to the basement floor. I called in the morning. Was given an appointment for that evening between 5 and 7 which was perfect for my work schedule. On the way home I had a customer service call that the technician was on the way. When I arrived home is was just pulling into my driveway. He was very nice and friendly and explained all that needed to be done. Pipe was unclogged in less than an hour with a 100 foot snake. Excellent service all the way around. more

We had water and sewage backing up into all the sinks in the house. Called Roto-Rooter of Stratford, Ct. They sent Tech Jon #35-417 immediately and he arrived within the hour. Quality service, reasonable prices 2/24/2012

I had a clogged kitchen sink and called Roto-Rooter in the morning and they were able to come to my house in the evening of the same day. There was no extra charge for evening hours which made it possible for me to not have to take time off from work. The technician that was sent over was respectful, on time, and appeared to be very knowlegeable about plumbing. He was able to clear the obstruction in my kitchen sink and now water is draining. He also cleaned up after the job was done. I am very satisfied with the service that I received from Roto-Rooter as a company and would recommend them to other people with plumbing problems. more

We had to have an emergency type fix and we called the best obviously. Our tech Louis #2661 from Stratford was the best plumber we have had. He fixed our leak in a reasonable amount of time and was prompt and courteous. I would call to have him come back out anytime. THANK YOU more

Roto-Rooter to the Rescue 11/10/2011

When on Saturday evening I discovered raw sewage backing up into my basement, I panicked. I called Roto-Rooter and Joe responded to my call. He worked until 2am and was still unable to resolve the issue. The next morning DJ and Richard showed up because they had to dig up the pipe outside of my house. They worked for several hours. And lastly, Peter arrived with the water jet and camera to eventually resolve the issue. These men worked very long and hard to resolve the problem - but they also did it pleasantly, and were conscious of the impact this was having on my household. It turned out to be a very expensive repair but I was really grateful for the excellent service and care I received in handling my crisis. Thanks!!! more

A+ Plumbing from Roto-Rooter 10/18/2011

Luis from Roto-Rooter saved the day.....There was a slow leak behind my shower wall from the hot/cold handles and after a period of time from the water building up, it leaked through the wall and down into the playroom ceiling not to mention the tub waste overflow that was original to the house built in 1965 needed to be replaced. I called various places for estimates and choose Roto-Rooter not based on their price, but based on Luis' quality of service, knowledge and professionalism. I was also impressed with their courteous customer service team who scheduled my appointments and answered all my questions. I need to replace the tiles in my shower and Luis said not a problem when the tile work is done, call him back and he'll come out and re-install the knob and the tub spout. A very satisfied customer!! more

This company is a must for any plumbing issues in your Stratford, CT area! They are prompt, courteous and have top notch customer service! Within one hour they had a tech at my house and the issue resolved right then and there. They will even come out and give you a free quote before performing any service and there is no charge for a quote. I would reccommend Roto Rooter in Stratford, CT to anyone for all your plumbing issues. more

After Louis, the plumber from Roto-Rooter of Stratford, fixed the pipes that burst, he came back to fix another problem -- my dead water heater. He was able to get the new water heater up and running a couple nights later, and he spent time patiently answering my questions when he was done. more

Best plummer 9/9/2011

I had Roto-Rooter out to do some plumming work after the hurricane. The plummer they sent was outstanding, he was clean, polite + a great represenitive of the company. I was so pleased with the work I had him back out to do some other plummbing work, again great service + very professional. In fact I was so pleased he is comming back to put in a sump pump in my basement. Great work Jon, I hope Roto-Rooter knows what a great employee they have in you. Woke to discover water pooling all over the first floor carpet. Called Roto-rooter and the plumber, James, arrived within the hour. He determined that there was a cracked pipe behind a wall. He did a great job in determining the problem, fixed and snaked out the pipe as well to ensure there was no other blockage. He was honest and professional and I would recommend him to anyone in Staten Island needing plumbing services more

Great Service from 2 hard working guys 6/14/2011

6/11/11 - The responce time was less than 1 hour. The main was plugged. They could have gone thru the small trap, but they saw that the main caps (4.5 inch caps) were not exposed in the house trap. The builder had left these covered. I said they did not need to uncover it as long as the line was opened. They told me it is the right thing to do. and was no additional charge. 1.5 hrs later, they cleared the trap, opened the main and things were working again. These guys ware good, professional and honest. Thank you Roto Rooter!!! more

Called Roto-Rooter on 6/8/11 at 9:15am and they arrived by 10:00am. Work was completed neatly and effeciently by 10:40. I would call and use them again if necessary. Worth every penny spent. The gentleman worked together and made it seem very easy. Life is flowing again at my home. more
