The second floor has the very best bridesmaid selection. My girls and I shopped in several places and were almost ready to order online. We were given such expert help and it was such an organized environment that we felt we need'nt shop anymore. Aside from being on every major website and recommended by every designer it was great seeing and experiencing it all for ourselves. It is better to do business with a company that is established than risk online purchasing that could leave you high and dry in a pinch. When we walked in we were greeted by a very cheerful hello. The salesperson was very attentive and knowledgeable. I gave her a few ideas and she suggested 6 great dresses that were definitely what I was looking for. She had lots of suggestions for how each dress could be modified to fit my style. The store has a very wide variety of dresses. Each dress that I tried on was very unique. I was also on a very small budget, but they still were able to suggest quite a few dresses that I loved! The entire experience made me feel very pampered and I left the store very happy. I plan to suggest Renee Strauss to all of my friends who are getting married! ....Also, we found that a dress that I had tried on at Renee Strauss was being sold at another bridal salon for $500 more..! Now I know PERSONALLY what everyone loves about Renee Strauss! It has exquisite dresses, unlike anywhere I have seen! I checked out CITYSEARCH and went on these recommendations and I have to say all of you that raved about this place are right! And I saw Renee running around and she was warm and friendly and obviously is THE MAVEN for bridal wear in this town...the other places PALE in comparison. I did buy a very expensive dress, but I know this is THE MOST IMPORTANT DRESS I will EVER buy...SO I DESERVE IT! I am so glad I purchased here...There is no other that can compare - and it is worth the 30 minute wait becasue the store was PACKED. I had a fantastic experience at Renee Strauss. This is a very elegant place that exudes warmth like the owner, Renee. She is zooming around all over the place and treats everyone like they are her family. The environment is comfortable and the staff seem to really enjoy working here. The dresses are the finest and the second floor has gorgeous things for bridesmaids and flowergirls and a huge shoe selection. I read all the other reviews and I strongly suggest to anyone looking for the finest in merchandise and the best choice and the nicest store, to go to Renee Strauss. I am a NY manufacturer and I know Renee Strauss for the Bride. They sell more bridesmaid's dresses than any other store in California. They are totally solution oriented and one thing a reviewer forgot to mention in her ""complaint"" was that she was PREGNANT and that was why the dress was 2 sizes too small! I was the vendor they ordered the fabric from...The store paid for the fabric as well as expedited shipping to help this bridesmaid. My best friend found this bridal shop for her wedding. She had her wedding dress made there (and spent quite a bit) plus ordered the 5 bridesmaid dresses from there. A week and a half before the wedding I got my bridesmaid dress in the mail. It was 2 sizes too small. They had ordered me the wrong size dress. Once they admitted it was their mistake they said they couldn't get another dress in time so I'd have to come into the shop to have them try and fix it. I drove an hour each way to have the dress altered. I had to make 2 trips out there (once with my 3 month old daughter.) The seamstress was great and so was the manager. In the end the dress fit but they had to add a tie to the side and panel to the back. It looks different than the other bridesmaids dresses. I talked to the owner and said I felt I should get a partial refund on the dress. I had to drive over 4 hours and sit in their shop for 3 hours to have the dress fixed and it was still different than the other girls. The owner was so rude. She said they had gone above and beyond what they had needed to do for me. She said normally they just add a panel and send it back to the girl. (How often does this happen?) She was so unpleasant to me and not apologetic to me at all. She was just snotty and rude. I'd be careful if you're going to order anything from here. Pros: Nice staff Cons: awful owner more

Renee Strauss was recommended to me by 2 patients and both venues I visited. I have a busy schedule but they squeezed me in. Here I found the most extraordinary dresses and high level of service. I wanted something special and their motto ""We shop the world for you"", is right on. The owner was in the shop and very friendly and helpful. You can feel the substance of the environment. I purchased from Renee Strauss last August. I fell in love at a trunk show and I was a little scared to order so quickly but I followed my heart and bought the dress the same day. I didn't buy my headpiece until the hair show that they have every few months. Then I came back for the veil and jewelry another time. At last I had my alterations. Every time I went to the store I was greeted by such friendly staff. I always felt at home and the service was top notch! My alterations were done in 3 fittings. My wedding day was perfect. The staff at the Beverly Hills hotel told me it was the most stunning dress ever! You won't find service or selection like this at any other store. My sister and mother and I shopped here today. We are visiting from TURKEY. Other friends have purchased from her last year and the year before. They were right. The dresses are the most beautiful in the world. My sister tried on dresses from the same Italian designer from Italy, but Renee Strauss had a much bigger selection. The headpiece we bought is signed by the artist and the veil was just perfect. The German lady that helped is was so professional.. My mother hugged and kissed her. Just came from Renee Strauss. I drove up from OC. I saw the sale announcement online. They had the VOTING stickers for CitySearch at the front desk. I am voting for this store because although I was on a budget, the service was top-notch. I found a great designer sample for $1499 that I actually tried on 3 months ago at Saks in OC. It had been $3990! The alterations cost extra, but it still is well worth it. The selection is really awesome. All HIGH STYLE. No long trains with gobbles of beads here. Class, pure and simple. This shop is really a class act. There are a lot of places to go in Beverly Hills and I was in almost every one of them. I found my dream dress early on at Renee Strauss, but was scared because I found it so soon. I kept looking but my heart was with the dress I had seen at Renee's. Growing up in Beverly Hills I passed Renee Strauss for the Bride for years looking forward to shopping there for myself. Obviously I shopped at other stores in the neighborhood too. None came close to the super service, friendly atmosphere and incredible selection I found at Renee Strauss. After reading other reviews and seeing a negative one about a dress being wrong - uneducated consumers have no idea how business works. Samples are true to the finished product because they are created from patterns that do not change from dress to dress. It truly seems to me that this person was plain and simply, unreasonable. I loved my experience from purchase through to alterations. I had the Lady-in-Waiting service which was fabulous. The staff is the greatest. There are thank you letters lining the walls in that store and mine will be the next on posted, I HOPE! more

I'm very surprised to read the negative reviews; my experience at Renee Strauss was wonderful. I already had my wedding gown, but went there to shop for dresses with my two bridesmaids. They tried on literally dozens of beautiful gowns that met our requirements for a ""non-bridesmaidy"" bridesmaid's dress. The only reason we didn't go with our final in-store choice was that at another store, we found another dress that was just a knockout on both women. In addition to the selection, the service was excellent. We told them the styles, colors, and price ranges that we were interested in, and the sales staff brought dress after dress. Perhaps the secret is to avoid the rush; although we were there on a Saturday, I booked an early appointment in advance. I would recommend this store to any local brides. more
