This pizza is the very best of the twin cities. Made the same way for years, I am suprised it took this long for Savoy's to be noticed. The zesty sasauge that compares to none, The equally incredible sauce and loads of gooey cheeze makes this a special delight. We get take out so I am not familiar with seating at the restraunt but the place is usually quite crowded at night. more

I've been here multiple times. Work would often treat us to lunch here. I never failed to get heartburn after a savoy pizza. Something in the sauce is a little spicier or different than your standard fare. The pizza was good, but nothing spectacular. It was a tad greasy for my tastes. Certainly you are better off than Dominos or Pizza Hut, but you will have to judge for youself how it compares to other mom-and-pop establishments. Plus, they do more than pizza. I have not had anything else on the menu so I can not comment on the other entrees. The restaurant itself is dark as night. In fact, if you go on a sunny day you will have to take a while to adjust back to the light when you leave. Pros: Parking, Just as good to go Cons: smoky, dark more

Savoy's is THE best pizza I've ever had!! I found by accident when I moved to the east side, and was pleasantly surprised at the yummyness of the pizza!! It's fabulous!!! Do yourself a favor and steer clear of REDS. Our Pizza experience was a disaster, to say the least. Flavorless, Greasy, and a all around ""cheap"" style, frozen pizza ish vibe, just inedible. Try if you want, you'll be sorry. I would try any place else. Also very RUDE wait staff. Cons: read review more

Even though I live in Mpls now (originally St.Paul), I go to Savoy. the sauce, sausage are the best I have ever had. I tried a few ""trendy"" places here in uptown that supposedly have great pizza but they dont compare to Savoy. Not only does 'The Savoy' have the best pizza in town, its also got the atmosphere of a creepy neighborhood bar--Dig how all eyes are on you as you enter the establishment. When you go into a good pizza place you shouldn't expect to have a quiet, intemate evening. After your eyes adjust to the low lighting you realize how loud it appears since the place is stuffed to the gills with people that appreciate good pizza. You'll notice that there are regulars every friday, waitstaff that do what they do because they care about what they are doing, and smells so go that your head will spin.
