Best Moving Experience 9/24/2010

I move every so often because I often like to change jobs. Every time I would get a job offer, I would stress over having to find yet another moving company. After several bad experiences, I became savvy and learned what to look for. Long story short, after a ton of research, I found Presto Logistics out of Southern California. They were extremely helpful, honest, and professional. This was by far the best moving experience I've ever had. I would certainly recommend Presto Logistics as an honest and reliable moving company. My experience was great and couldn't be happier with my relocation experience. I rarely take the time to actually post reviews, but after the quality of service I received, I thought it only fair to pay it forward. I would hands-down recommend this company to anyone looking to make a long distance move. more

Biggest con artists/scammers should be shut down! 9/20/2010

My sister made the unfortunate choice to use this so-called moving company for a move from San Diego to Houston, TX. On moving day, the original quote of $1700 was DOUBLED to $3400 and they demanded she pay in full on the spot..which she did reluctantly becuz she had no choice. When she arrived in TX her stuff was nowhere to be seen and they gave her the runaround time and time again and she was forced to sleep on the floor of her new place, with NOTHING. I had to send her a box of work clothes as she was starting a new job and thanks to Presto, had NOTHING. When the truck finally did show up at her place more than 10+ days late..they demanded another $500 cash from her. Items were broken, etc. but they don't care becuz a) they dont have a current insurance policy and b) they dont even have a current interstate carrier license. It's a shame that these scammers have an A rating on the BBB website..cuz there isnt anything A+ about them except for being ""A-holes"". Please stay far away from this sham shady business and I will be telling everyone I know to read reviews like this before they choose any moving company in the future. SHAME ON YOU, PRESTO! all of the 'good reviews' on here must be fake or paid ads because they know what the truth really is.. scam scam and more scam. more

The best moving experience I ever had 9/17/2010

We recently moved from the Fresno area of CA to Little Rock AR. We were quite nervous about having to move again since the three other moves that we experienced in the past 5 years were distressing to say the least. We had to move an entire shop filled with very valuable equipment as well as our home and a car. We called Presto Logistics and the manager, Abe came to give us an estimate. He was very professional and courteous and told us that the price he gave us would be the actual price. No hidden cost and no surprises! That was a welcome sound to our ears since we were charged $3000 extra on our last move! After the crew came to load the items in the shop we decided to store them until the closing date. Three days before closing the packing crew came to our house and boxed up everything that was going to AR. We had many valuables that we were especially worried about such as paintings and antiques, but they packed them expertly. My roof had leaked during a torrential downpour that day and a crewmember named Mitch helped me lay all of our precious family photos out to dry. Without him I would have lost most of them! I also liked the fact that the driver was there at all times to pack and supervise the crew. Clarence was truly a professional and treated our possessions as if they were his own. We had some major snags just as we were supposed to ship out- our closing date on the new house was postponed a week and we had already closed on our old house! I was so worried about what would happen to our belongings, but Abe (the manager) said that they would store them and it would be no problem. Another glitch came up right before the expected ship out date and we had to postpone AGAIN! Even though the whole crew was ready to go, Abe again said it would be no problem to store the items which put me at ease. Once they got to our new house (exactly on time), the crew unpacked our things and placed our furniture. They had laid out runners and protection to guard our floors and even swept them as well as our garage when they finished! Talk about service! All of our things (except for a minor, repairable chip on a speaker)made it safely to AR! It might seem like a lot to pay for a move, but keep in mind that we had 2 eighteen wheelers packed full. We also had our things both packed and unpacked as well as stored for 1 month on the shop and 2 weeks on the house! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! more

MY MEJ'OR MOVERS-INTERNACIONAL 9/13/2010

Hello Everyone. My name is Benito.I work in the Wine Industry. Although my job is more on the retail level....for the last year I have been stationed in beautiful Napa Valley CA; on assignment to educate myself more with a hands on approach to more of the technical aspects of Wine-making.\r About one month ago my assignment ended and i needed to relocate back to my home country of Spain. Over the course of my year in Napa; my wife and I were blessed with a baby girl.Needless to say...we accumulated all kinds of new belongings....especially baby stuff........(our thoughtful neighbors threw quite a baby shower) \r We didn't want to leave everything behind so we started our search for a moving company.\r We got disheartened pretty fast. After we put our info in one search engine......a hundred companies called us and pressuring us to book with them.\r Then I decided to start searching for a company on my own....so that I could choose the Moving Company without being harrased by a desperate salesman trying to make sale.\r I finally found PRESTO LOGISTICS on the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.\r Although I did see a few less than positive reviews; the company seemed fresh and in generally good standing.\r With one call to my Rep to be; Abe,I was sure that we would use this company. This was quite a complicated move due to the fact that at one point my belongings would need to be shipped over the sea in a container and not just overland transportation. That did not phase Abe one bit. He arranged for the shipment to be picked up(unbelievable crew) phenomenal quality packing of my prized belonging(and of course baby Isabella's stuff too)and transported it on a tractor trailer to a port in Houston TX.....where the goods were transferred to a container.......that i was able to share space with another customers shipment....to reduce cost.\r The shipment arrived at port in Spain less than two weeks after departure. The entire Move took only a little under three weeks.PRESTO interfaced with a local moving service to bring the shipment from the port to our home. Service was amazing. There were no damages.....everything was wrapped and crated so well(they made me pay for that....,but it was well worth it)\r \r PRESTO LOGISTISTICS DID A+ WORK\r \r MUCHAS GRACIAS FROM THE VASQUEZ FAMILY. more

QUALITY MOVING COMPANY 9/13/2010

Presto Logistics Inc, has proven that there is hope in finding a quality moving company that provides a professional service at reasonable rates. No hidden fees! Everything pertaining to my move was in clear English, black on white. I moved with Presto from SoCal to the ""big easy"";after my home was finally rebuilt in August,2010, following the ravages of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There was a total of approx.300 items;many of which needed disassembly at pickup and re-assembly on delivery. Billy and his crew did fast and efficient work to complete the pickup in under 5 hours! On delivery; Benjamin and Theo(tractor trailer drivers)made a skillful and surprisingly successful attempt at entering our narrow subdivision. They and their local crew commenced the delivery;two hours later they were all done! Everything in its place, beds and tables re-assembled. I really felt that i received the quality service i paid for....and then some! The whole Presto team; John,Abe,Jami,Henry,Mitch,Joe.....everyone, were so courteous, communicative and quite helpful through this stressful time. Thank You! I give Presto 5 star status and I highly recommend that you consider them in your search for an honest, straight forward, quality and courteous moving company. more

Worst Moving Company Experience 9/7/2010

I have moved over 20 times in my life being both an Army brat and a member of the Army myself, and this company was by far the worst I have ever experienced. Abe from Presto was the first phone call from an online moving inquiry from Cali to Texas. I agreed to allow an estimate moving crew to come inspect the items I was shipping. Abe informed me that he would be emailing me the paperwork and I in said I didn't have access to the internet where I was so he went over some of the larger points in the contract. He failed to mention to me was that if the movers had to walk more than 75 feet or use an elevator, I would be charged an extra $75. My storage unit was on the 2nd story and was ""225 feet"" away from the truck, even though it had elevator access and push carts available. So when the movers arrived to give me an on site estimate, they guessed the square footage of my belongings and high ball estimated them at 400-500 square feet. Having moved many times before this, I knew that number to be wrong and instead believed the number to be near 320. Knowing that their pricing rate varied from square ft, I accepted the extra $150 in elevator and walking fees since it would be offset by the lower volume of my belongings. After packing up the truck, the moving crew chief, Bill, said I was being charged for 400 square feet. Bill told me this without showing me on the truck how this all added up, so I asked him to walk me through it. Once we got into the truck, I showed Bill how there was 40 square feet I was being overcharged for that in no way could be contested by him. Bill seemed annoyed, and said that fine he would lower the number to 360. I knew that if I pushed the issue, I could show him the other 40 square feet he was overcharging me on. It was a long day and I didn't feel like arguing the point however. When my goods arrived in Texas, it was again Bill who I was forced to deal with. Besides taking payment only in cash or money order and not having any change, thus forcing me into automatically tipping him. I watched as Bill dropped my items without any concern. Per contract, Bill was to re-assemble my furniture which he disassembled in California. This was not done, and Bill claimed it was because I was loading it into a storage space and then glared at me claiming he didn't have tools. One of my boxes wasn't even closed, and Bill didn't seem to care that I had to jump into the moving truck to gather up personal belongings that had fallen out. Additionally, two items of furniture were broken, and many of my belongings were needlessly covered with extremely adhesive tape, which I have still not gotten off. Immediately after my goods were delivered I called up Presto and asked to speak to whomever was in charge. I was offered 40 square feet compensation. 5 phone calls and one month later I’m still trying to get compensated. The latest move by Presto was to send me paperwork to file my claim which turned out to be a waiver of liability which I will not sign. I would never recommend this company to anyone. more

Great Company 9/1/2010

When I was looking for a mover from Texas to California, I got inundated with phone calls from several moving companies. I realized I made a mistake listing my info online, and decided to search an alternate way. I found Presto through the BBB and I am so lucky I did. At first I spoke with Abe, he was unsure if they could accommodate my move because they are based in California. I was so pleased though with all the information and how it was presented to me that I had to wait for a response as to whether or not Presto could service my move. After a couple days, Abe got back to me letting me know they had a truck coming into town and they could service the move. I am so lucky I waited; the move from start to finish was 4 days, Benjamin came on pick up and wrapped all my furniture and labeled everything for me, so I did not have to worry about that. It took him and his helper about 3 hours before my house was completely empty. The next day I got on a flight to California, 2 days later delivery. Again, Ben came with his helper, the two of them unwrapped everything and put it exactly where I wanted. This was amazing!! I will be moving again in six months, and rest assured I will most definitely be using Presto. You guys are the best! more
