One of the reasons I chose Patricia hair extensions salon was due to the many positive reviews. I was concerned when I pulled up for my evening appointment that this salon might be too trendy for me, as I am not 30 something anymore. I had a great experience from the time I was greeted at the reception desk to walking out with a great haircut. Patricia did a wonderful job of listening to what I wanted and used her experience and skill to take my 'old school' haircut to a new level of style and easy care. I have been growing my hair out from a very short style and needed her expertise in assisting the transition to a more updated textured look. I walked out feeling like this was the first time in my life that I had my hair styled and not just cut. I did not have to go home to trim or correct the cut as I have so many times in the past. Nico cut and colored my hair beautifully. I have had very long hair for years and have had it colored a few times before. My hair is naturally medium to dark brown neutral. I had a vague idea that I wanted to go a little lighter, much shorter, and have a classic or romantic-looking cut. Nico described to me what proposed to do, in detail, and also pointed out a color mistake that a previous salon had made about six months ago. Color choice, application, and cut were all perfect. I am not a fan of highlights, especially on me; I dislike the stripey look and think they give a harsh and kitschy feel to one's style. Leda, though, gave me these precise highlights made up of individual strands of hair here and there. She took her time and was great conversation, so the three or so hours went by quickly. I am thrilled with the results; it's like getting a present every time I look in the mirror or go out. Also, she seemed to use the right tone for my skin color. I always worry that my hair will look too coppery, even when neutral. I have checked out my hair in all lighting situations now. There is just enough warm in the hair for it to be vibrant, and it is not coppery. There seem to be cool and mostly neutral tones, all are shiny and pretty and completely natural-looking. The cut is lots and lots of fun, neither boring nor tendentiously coiffed. Patricia hair extensions salon has no silly pretensions, just real professionalism. It is basically expensive but not overly so. It is well worth it. They are upfront and conscientious about the cost as well. I have been going to Patricia hair extensions salon for over a year when the time comes for a haircut and hair extensions. All of the hair stylists are up to date on the latest styles and are experienced no matter what hair type one has. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and all the stylists were very friendly and nice. I was offered a beverage as soon as I sat down. I went in for a haircut, I was a little unsure of the exact style I wanted but my stylist was very helpful and gave me great advice. the stylist made sure to ask me if I liked my cut or if I wanted to change anything, they were very reassuring in the fact if I wanted to change something with my style I could, it made me feel like they weren't just trying to rush me out the door. At the end of the service I decided I wanted to get some waxing done, they were more than happy to help me with that service. The wax room was very clean and they did a great job. I came to Patricia hair extensions salon about a year ago. My hair had recently been butchered at a certain chain salon here in Portland. I was so unhappy. I had super short hair and awful layers. Over the course of a year, Patricia helped me grow my hair out. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and she paid specific attention to how my individual hair grows, so that I could get the best cut and look possible for my face and type of hair. Recently, I mentioned that I was feeling insecure about some grays that were popping up. She suggested highlights. I went through with the highlights and I am so happy that I did. She knew exactly which colors would look best on me. I was even happier to find that the cost of the highlights was half what I had been quoted for highlights at that same ""butcher block"" hair ""salon"" that I had been to before. Patricia has done my hair there for years. I had a series of unfortunate hair events due to bad coloring, and then the attempts to fix it. Patricia is an awesome hair colorist and hair stylist. She is the best hair colorist and hair stylist that I have ever found. She is personable, professional and just does an awesome job. I have been going to her for over 5 years. I always get compliments and I am always amazed by the wonder job she does to make me look good. I would highly recommend going to her. She also gave me fabulous color. I just read a review saying that someone didn't like her color and I almost can't believe it because I went in asking for richness and a caramel color and that is exactly what I got and I totally love it. I was extremely happy with my hair extensions that Patricia did for me; She is very knowledgeable and has an informative website. I did a lot of research on hair extensions. I was happy I chose her over the other salons. She is very easy going and a nice person. She answers your questions and knows her stuff. She is very fast with her work too. The sewing in method has worked great for me so far. I LOVE it! She has her own chair in the salon and the other gals there are just as nice and personable too. I had Great Lengths hair extensions done yesterday by Patricia. I am writing to let everyone know how great the hair extensions. I am visiting from Texas, and yesterday was the only day that I could come. Patricia fit me in, and the salon was busy. I had a consult with Patricia, and had hair extensions done right after. It is amazing at the size of the inventory, huge amounts of hair in stock. Patricia did my hair, and it came out great. I would never think about going elsewhere while in NYC. I started getting extensions with Patricia 3 years ago. I have fine, thin, frizzy curly hair that breaks easily and would only grow to shoulder length. We started with 2 tracks of hair to achieve length to my lower middle back. Patricia insisted I get small trims on my hair, use good products and basically take good care of my own hair. I eventually got to one track of hair to fill out my ends and add a few inches as my own hair grew to about 2-3 inches past my shoulders. My hair was still fine, frizzy, and unruly but it was healthier and did grow some. Patricia kept mentioning the Brazilian Keratin treatment for my hair and that it would make my hair controllable, take out the frizz, and fill in my weak fragile ends. I was hesitant but she kept bringing it up so I finally tried it. OMG - Brazilian Keratin treatment changed my life. I’ve since repeated the treatment 3 times. My hair doesn’t frizz ever, it is soft, wavy, and does not puff out like it use to. I let it air dry and go. I still wear 1 piece of hair extension to thicken up my hair but my own hair is now to the middle of my back and healthy. It’s like I have someone else hair. Oh my gosh, It's me, naturally, my hair is fine and thin and hangs lifelessly at the base of my neck. That was before Patricia worked her magic along with a stylist. I am SO very happy with my extensions. Patricia is a lovely person. She truly cares and is very picky about perfection. I'll never go anywhere else. The service is top notch.
