Patricia's Hair Extensions Salon NYC

I had a very important event to make early in the morning and a long commute, and after a long debate about the competence of my current hairdresser, i decide to take a chance on Patricia's Salon from a recommendation i found on the internet. Ladies, you know how old habits die hard, even when they're not good habits---there's a relationship you build with your hairdresser who comes to know you and your hair and can be difficult to change! I took a chance on a new salon since i had a very important event to make at a very early hour in the morning and took a chance on Hana---who gave me an excellent cut and was painstakingly patient with the demands of my hard to manage hair. She set it so i could sleep on it, gave me instructions for the morning and sent me on my way. She was so thorough and particular it made me feel great to have been given that kind of service. Good service seems to be rare these days, people! And take it from a person who can't really afford to be pampered--it felt great to be on the receiving end of someone who takes great pride in their work. Thank you Hana! more

I have never been to Patricia's hair salon for Haircut so cannot comment of that service. I have been to this place for Hairdo. I have the most unmanageable hairs that are difficult to work with.But Nico did great job with them and that to in no time. She just moved like machine and a bunch of bob pins and there i was looking sassy. If i need a hairdo i always land a appointment at Patricia's. more

I booked Jessica after reading the glorious reviews on Citysearch about her art with hair extensions. I have been getting them for my damaged hair for a couple years now. Great location, very affordable prices and expert people. Also, Patricia the owner is as sweet as can be. more

I Decided to try Patricia's Hair Salon as they are located across from my apartment, and they have a 10% off first time clients coupon. I had Leda as my stylist. Want to share ""Patricia's rocks"". Leda did an amazing job on my hair color, highlight and haircut. It was just what I was looking for exactly like my thoughts. I just gave her few outline and here she made the complete picture. The entire staff was very inviting, they make you feel so comfortable, and welcomed with there smiles. Looking around the salon, all of the clients looked happy and satisfied after there service. I want to do my Hair Extensions for first time in my life , I did my research on internet ? and I found a lot about this salon, but It doesn't make sense about why Patricia hair extensions salon has so many bad reviews on Yelp but here in citysearch they have more than 1000 positive reviews. Leda is fantastic, she's great with haircuts and always willing to try new things with you, and she's honest. If you want your hair one way, if she thinks it won't look good she tells you. She also does great color, and she's funny and easy. more

I was referred to Patricia by my friend. She has been going to her for years and I always love the way her hair flows.I have long hair that had no style to it. Patricia Hair Salon has the most humble and patient stylist. She made it all about me and really took the time to ask me the right questions before she just started cutting without asking. She gave me the most beautiful bob shape. I usually always have choppy pieces after my haircuts because my neckline is so low. However, she gave me the best haircut I have ever had. It was well worth the time she spent and the price. I always pay a bunch and still walk out not 100% happy. She is the first to get the haircut perfect and everyone in NYC Hair Salon was amusing and enjoyable. I love that Patricia Hair Salon offers drinks. It really relaxed me while I was waiting for my color to be finished. It was so nice to just zone out and listen to the music. I really felt like I was in good hands with staff. I am my yonger sis went to this nice chic salon in NY city. It is in Astoria near railway station. They have ticket parking facility and you do get parking space. I went there for first time and went for hair cut and also did blow dry. My sis went for haircut and then highlight. Guess what we both got 10% discount as new customer. My stylist was Leda and my sis's stylist was Nico both were very good and friendly then chatted with us and answered all our queries regarding hair care. We sort of liked them. Planning to visit them again before holiday season. more

I chose Patricia salon based on the recommendation of my friend about 6 years ago...that friend always seems to know the right people, the inner professionals, but in previous visits to some of her rec's I've had varying degrees of satisfaction. I'm not super young, skinny or hip (well, the hipness factor probably outweighs the others for me, luckily-I've got at least a trace of that), and frankly I was trepidations that I might get some less-than-cozy vibes at such a chic, celebrity-driven salon. Not so. First, the space is gorgeous, but so pretty and relaxing just to hang in and when you're getting color here, you will be waiting around, so that's a huge plus. The stylists and receptionists have always been unfailingly gracious, sweet, attentive. That's one of two things that have kept me coming back year after year. the other and the most important, naturally, is the high quality of the cuts and color I receive here. Every Single visit has resulted in many compliments. Add to that that the prices are in my opinion quite reasonable. I do dread the drive across Hollywood to get there, but it's worth it in the end. I was so lucky to find Patricia Hair Salon. I was really worried about having to start over with a new stylist, and even considered traveling back to Detroit to have my color done when I first got here. Now I wouldn't trust anyone else. Not only does Patricia hair salon do a great cut for me, but her color is just as good. Hands down and hairs up - this is the best salon experience I've had in all of NYC having lived here for many years. To begin with there is actually a convenient place to park. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxed, pretty and completely unpretentious. Very peaceful and respectful.You got the feeling everybody in there actually likes each other (as opposed to all the places I've been where they're bickering with each other, competing, and all and all bad energy.Nico cut my hair. I have curly hair and he is THE FIRST who actually knew how to cut it. And he's also promised me I can GROW IT which is amazing since everybody else has always said it can't or shouldn't get long because it will be completely unmanageable. Their products are fantastic. I had an appointment at Patricia's this past Saturday to discuss options about my recently diagnosed alopecia areata. In the past month, I've lost >50% of my hair, and I've been devasted, because I have so many bald spots that are getting harder and harder to hide everyday. Patricia was very nice and extrememly sensitive to my situation. We met in a private room, so I wasn't embarrassed to try on hair pieces. She recommended a hair integration piece (clip in) that I could use during the day, and still remove at night and to take showers. My biggest concern was that the piece would look natural, I'm 29 years old, and the last thing I want is to look like I'm wearing a wig. The piece matched my hair exactly, and I look like my normal self again. Paola helped me style it and cut in a few layers to make it look natural. I loved it so much, I cried at the salon. I wish I never had to take the hair integration piece out of my hair!! I highly recommend this place. more
